Narrated Nafi' and Ibn 'Umar: The Prophet (ﷺ) had two muezzins, Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktum. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Bilal pronounces the Adhan for you at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum pronounces the Adhan.

(١٧٩٠) نافع اور ابن عمر (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے دو مؤذن بلال اور ابن ام مکتوم (رض) تھے، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بلال (رض) رات کی اذان دیتے ہیں، پس تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ ابن ام مکتوم اذان دے۔
1790 Nafi aur Ibn Umar (RA) se riwayat hai ki Nabi (SAW) ke do muazzin Bilal aur Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) thay, Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Bilal (RA) raat ki azan dete hain, pas tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ki Ibn Umm Maktum azan de.
Habib bin Abdur Rahman narrates, "My paternal aunt, Anisa, said, 'Sayyidina Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktum (may Allah be pleased with them) used to call the Adhan for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Bilal calls the Adhan at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the Adhan." We used to stop Ibn Umm Maktum from calling the Adhan, saying, 'You have prayed Fajr like us.' And his Adhan was such that he would go down (in pitch) and then go high (in pitch).'"

(١٧٩١) خبیب بن عبد الرحمن کہتے ہیں کہ میری چچی انیسہ فرماتی ہیں کہ سیدنا بلال اور ابن ام مکتوم (رض) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے اذان دیا کرتے تھے، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ” بلال (رض) رات کی اذان دیتے ہیں، پس تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ ابن ام مکتوم اذان دے ، ہم ابن ام مکتوم کو اذان کے لیے روکتے تھے ہم کہتے تھے : تو نے اپنی طرح سحری کردی اور ان کی اذان اس طرح تھی کہ یہ نیچے اترتے اور وہ اوپر چڑھتے۔
1791 Habib bin Abdur Rahman kehte hain ki meri chachi Aneesa farmati hain ki Sayyidna Bilal aur Ibn Umm Maktum (Raz) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke liye azan diya karte the, Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: "Bilal (Raz) raat ki azan dete hain, pas tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ki Ibn Umm Maktum azan de, hum Ibn Umm Maktum ko azan ke liye rokte the hum kehte the: tu ne apni tarah sahri kardi aur un ki azan is tarah thi ki ye neeche utarte aur wo upar chadhte.
Narrated Khabib bin Abdur-Rahman, from his paternal aunt Anisa: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When the son of Umm Maktum (Ibn Um Maktum) pronounces the Adhan for you at night, then eat and drink until Bilal pronounces the Adhan."

(١٧٩٢) خبیب بن عبدالرحمن اپنی چچی انیسہ سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ابن ام مکتوم رات کو اذان دے تو تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ بلال اذان دے۔
(1792) Habib bin Abdurrahman apni chachi Anisa se naql farmate hain ke Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Ibn Umm Maktum raat ko azan de to tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ke Bilal azan de.
(1793) (a) Khabib ibn Abdur Rahman narrates that I heard from my paternal aunt Anasah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Bilal (RA) gives the adhan at night, so you should eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the adhan, or he said: Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) gives the adhan at night, so you should eat and drink until Bilal (RA) gives the adhan, she said: This one used to ascend and that one used to descend, we used to cling to it and say, you have observed sahar like your own way.
(b) Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq Faqih says that if the narrations of Abu 'Umar, etc. are correct, then it is permissible that there was an arrangement of turns between Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum and Bilal (RA), when it was the turn of Sayyiduna Bilal (RA), he would give the adhan at night, and when it was the turn of Sayyiduna Ibn Umm Maktum (RA), he would give the adhan at night.
(c) This narration is sahih and permissible, although it is not sound. The narration of Sayyiduna Ibn 'Umar, Ibn Mas'ud, Samurah (RA) and Sayyida Aisha (RA) is sound that Bilal (RA) used to give the adhan at night.
(d) Shaykh says that it is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (RA) that the adhan was from Ibn Umm Maktum (RA).

(١٧٩٣) (الف) خبیب بن عبد الرحمن کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنی چچی انیسہ (رض) سے سنا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : بلال (رض) رات کی اذان دیتا ہے، پس تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ ابن ام مکتوم اذان دے، یا فرمایا : ابن ام مکتوم (رض) رات کی اذان دیتے ہیں، پس تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ بلال (رض) اذان دے ، انھوں نے کہا : یہ چڑھتا تھا اور وہ اترتا تھا، ہم اس کے ساتھ چمٹ جاتے اور کہتے تو نے اپنی طرح سحری کردی۔
(ب) ابوبکر بن اسحاق فقیہ کہتے ہیں کہ اگر ابو عمر وغیرہ کی روایات صحیح ہوں تو جائز ہے کہ سیدنا ابن ام مکتوم اور بلال (رض) کے درمیان باری طے ہوں، جب سیدنا بلال (رض) کی باری ہوتی تو وہ رات کو اذان کہتے اور اگر سیدنا ابن ام مکتوم (رض) کی باری ہوتی تو وہ رات کو اذان کہتے۔
(ج) یہ روایت صحیح اور جائز ہے۔ اگرچہ درست نہیں۔ سیدنا ابن عمر، ابن مسعود، سمرہ (رض) اور سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کی روایت درست بلال (رض) رات کو اذان دیتے تھے۔
(د) شیخ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے مروی ہے کہ ابن ام مکتوم (رض) کی اذان سے تھی۔
(1793) (alif) Habib bin Abdur Rahman kahte hain ki maine apni chachi Aneesah (RA) se suna ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Bilal (RA) raat ki azan deta hai, pas tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ki Ibn Umm Maktum azan de, ya farmaya : Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) raat ki azan dete hain, pas tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ki Bilal (RA) azan de, unhon ne kaha : yeh charhta tha aur woh utarta tha, hum iske sath chipak jate aur kahte to ne apni tarah sehri kardi.
(be) Abubakar bin Ishaq Faqih kahte hain ki agar Abu Umar waghaira ki riwayat sahih hon to jaiz hai ki Sayyidna Ibn Umm Maktum aur Bilal (RA) ke darmiyan baari tay hon, jab Sayyidna Bilal (RA) ki baari hoti to woh raat ko azan kahte aur agar Sayyidna Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) ki baari hoti to woh raat ko azan kahte.
(jeem) Yeh riwayat sahih aur jaiz hai. Agarcheh durust nahin. Sayyidna Ibn Umar, Ibn Masud, Samrah (RA) aur Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) ki riwayat durust Bilal (RA) raat ko azan dete the.
(daal) Sheikh kahte hain ki Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) se marvi hai ki Ibn Umm Maktum (RA) ki azan se thi.
(1794) (a) It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidah Aishah (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Ibn Umm Maktum is a blind man, when he gives the call to prayer (adhan), eat and drink until Bilal (RA) gives the call to prayer. Sayyidah Aishah (RA) said: Bilal (RA) used to give the call to prayer for Fajr when it was still dark.
(b) Sayyidah Aishah (RA) used to say that what Ibn Umar (RA) said is not correct.

(١٧٩٤) (الف) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ابن ام مکتوم نابینا آدمی ہے، جب وہ اذان دے تو کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ بلال (رض) اذان دے دے۔ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں : بلال (رض) فجر کو روشن کرتے تھے۔
(ب) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) فرمایا کرتی تھیں کہ ابن عمر (رض) کی بات درست نہیں۔
(1794) (alif) Sayyidah Aaishah (raz) se riwayat hai ke Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Ibn Umm Maktum nabina aadmi hai, jab woh azaan de to khao aur piyo yahan tak ke Bilal (raz) azaan de de. Sayyidah Aaishah (raz) farmati hain : Bilal (raz) fajr ko roshan karte the.
(be) Sayyidah Aaishah (raz) farmaya karti thin ke Ibn Umar (raz) ki baat durust nahin.
Narrated Zaid bin Thabit (RA): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Ibn Um Maktum (RA) pronounces the Adhan for you at night. So eat and drink until Bilal (RA) pronounces the Adhan."

(١٧٩٥) سیدنا زید بن ثابت (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ابن ام مکتوم رات کی اذان دیتا ہے پس تم کھاؤ اور پیو یہاں تک کہ بلال (رض) اذان دے۔
Sayidna Zaid bin Sabit (RA) se riwayat hai ki Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Ibn Umme Maktoom raat ki azan deta hai pas tum khao aur piyo yahan tak ki Bilal (RA) azan de.
Habban bin Harith said that I went to Sayyidina Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was in the army at the well of Abu Musa. I found him eating, so he said: "Come closer and eat." I said: "I have intended to fast." He said: "I also intended to fast." When he finished eating, he said to Ibn Nabbah: "Announce the Iqamah for prayer."

(١٧٩٦) حبان بن حارث کہتے ہیں کہ میں سیدنا علی بن أبی طالب (رض) کے پاس آیا، وہ ابو موسیٰ کے کنویں کے پاس لشکر میں تھے، میں نے انھیں کھانا کھاتے ہوئے پایا تو انھوں نے کہا : قریب ہو جاؤ اور کھاؤ، میں نے کہا : میں نے روزے کا ارادہ کیا ہے، انھوں نے کہا : میں نے بھی روزے کا ارادہ کیا تھا، جب کھانے سے فارغ ہوئے تو انھوں نے ابن نباح سے کہا : نماز کی اقامت کہو۔
1796 Hubban bin Harith kehte hain ki main Sayyidna Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) ke paas aaya, woh Abu Musa ke kuen ke paas lashkar mein the, maine unhen khana khate huye paya to unhon ne kaha: Qareeb ho jao aur khao, maine kaha: Maine rozey ka irada kiya hai, unhon ne kaha: Maine bhi rozey ka irada kiya tha, jab khane se farigh huye to unhon ne Ibn Nabah se kaha: Namaz ki iqamat kaho.
