Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: I passed by Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) while my Izar (lower garment) was hanging down. He (ﷺ) said, "O Abdullah! Raise up your Izar." I drew it up. He said, "Still more." I drew it further up. He then said, "Still more." So, I drew it still more. He (ﷺ) said, "Up to half of the shins." I asked, "What about those whose shins are short?" He said, "He should raise it according to his length."

(٣٣١٦) سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس سے گزرا، میرا تہبند لٹکا ہوا تھا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے عبداللہ ! اپنا تہبند اوپر اٹھالے۔ میں نے اسے اٹھا لیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اور اوپر کرو میں نے اوپر کیا، اس کے بعد میں ہمیشہ زیادہ کوشش کرتا رہا۔ بعض لوگوں نے پوچھا : کہاں تک ؟ انھوں نے فرمایا : نصف پنڈلیوں تک۔
(3316) Saidna Abdullah bin Umar (RA) bayan karte hain ke main Rasul Allah (SAW) ke paas se guzra mera tahband latka hua tha aap (SAW) ne farmaya ae Abdullah apna tahband upar utha le main ne use utha liya to aap (SAW) ne farmaya aur upar karo main ne upar kiya is ke baad main hamesha zyada koshish karta raha baaz logon ne poocha kahan tak unhon ne farmaya nisf pindliyon tak
Ala' bin Abdul Rahman narrated from his father that I asked Abu Saeed Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) about the Izaar (lower garment). He said: I will narrate to you what I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). He said: "The Izaar of the believer should be up to mid-calf, and there is no harm if it is up to the ankles. But whatever is below the ankles will be in the Fire." And Allah Almighty will not look (with mercy) on the Day of Resurrection at the one who lets down his Izaar out of pride and arrogance.

(٣٣١٧) علاء بن عبدالرحمن اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابو سعید خدری (رض) سے تہبند کے بارے میں پوچھا تو انھوں نے بتایا میں تمہیں وہ بیان کروں گا جو میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ مومن کا تہبند نصف پنڈلی تک ہوتا ہے۔ ٹخنوں تک رکھنے میں بھی کوئی مضائقہ نہیں لیکن جو ٹخنے سے نیچے ہوگا وہ جہنم میں جلے گا اور اللہ تعالیٰ (قیامت کے دن) اس شخص کی طرف نظر (رحمت) نہ کرے گا جو اپنے تہبند کو غرور وتکبر کی وجہ سے لٹکائے۔
3317 Ala bin Abdul Rahman apne walid se riwayat karte hain ke maine Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) se tehband ke baare mein poocha to unhon ne bataya main tumhen wo bayan karunga jo maine Rasul Allah (SAW) se suna ke momin ka tehband nisf pindli tak hota hai. Takhnon tak rakhne mein bhi koi muzaiqa nahi lekin jo takhne se niche hoga wo jahannam mein jalega aur Allah Ta'ala (Qayamat ke din) us shakhs ki taraf nazar (rehamat) na karega jo apne tehband ko gharoor o takabbur ki wajah se latkaye.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “What is below the ankles of the izar (lower garment) will be in the Fire.” This is the wording of Adam’s narration. And the wording of ‘Abd As-Samad’s narration is: “That which is below the ankles of the izar is in the Fire.”

(٣٣١٨) ابوہریرہ (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ٹخنوں سے نیچے جو حصہ تہبند سے ڈھکا ہوا ہوگا وہ آگ میں جلے گا۔ یہ آدم کی حدیث کے الفاظ ہیں اور عبدالصمد کی روایت کے الفاظ یہ ہیں : ” مَا تَحْتَ الْکَعْبَیْنِ مِنَ الإِزَارِ فِی النَّارِ “ کہ ٹخنوں سے نیچے جو تہبند ہوگا وہ آگ میں جلیگا۔
3318 Abu Huraira (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: takhno se neeche jo hissa tehband se dhaka hua hoga woh aag mein jalega. Yeh Adam ki hadees ke alfaz hain aur Abdul Samad ki riwayat ke alfaz yeh hain: "Ma tahta al-kabayni mina al-izar fi al-nar" keh takhno se neeche jo tehband hoga woh aag mein jalega.
Yazid bin Abi Samia narrated that he heard Abdullah Ibn Umar saying that Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said regarding Izar (waist-wrapper): "It is in the shirt."

(٣٣١٩) یزید بن ابی سمیہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے سیدنا ابن عمر (رض) کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے تہبند کے بارے میں فرمایا کہ یہ قمیص میں ہی ہے۔
Yazid bin Abi Samiya bayan karte hain keh maine Sayyidna Ibn Umar (RA) ko farmate huye suna keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne tehband ke bare mein farmaya keh yeh qamees mein hi hai.
