Aisha (RA) narrates that I asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) about looking here and there in prayer. He said: "This is a snatching away that Satan snatches from the prayer of a person."

(٣٥٢٩) حضرت عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نماز میں ادھر ادھر دیکھنے کے بارے میں دریافت کیا تو آپ نے فرمایا : یہ جھپٹ ہے جو شیطان کسی بندے کی نماز سے جھپٹ مار کر چھین لیتا ہے۔
(3529) Hazrat Aisha (Raz) bayan karte hain ke maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se namaz mein idhar udhar dekhne ke bare mein دریافت kia to aap ne farmaya : Yeh jhatak hai jo shetan kisi bande ki namaz se jhatak mar kar chhin leta hai.
Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Allah remains attentive to His slave as long as he does not look here and there in his prayer. And when he looks here and there, Allah turns away from him."

(٣٥٣١) ابوذر (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تک کوئی شخص حالت نماز میں ادھر ادھر نہیں دیکھتا تب تک اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی طرف متوجہ رہتا ہے اور جب وہ ادھر ادھر دیکھتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ بھی اس کی طرف سے توجہ ہٹا لیتا ہے۔
(3531) Abuzar (rz) bayan karte hain keh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jab tak koi shakhs halat namaz mein idhar udhar nahin dekhta tab tak Allah ta'ala uski taraf mutawajjah rehta hai aur jab woh idhar udhar dekhta hai to Allah ta'ala bhi uski taraf se tawajjuh hata leta hai.
Abu Dzar (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: As long as a person does not look here and there in prayer, Allah the Exalted remains attentive towards him, and when he turns his face away, Allah the Exalted also turns away from him.
A similar narration has also been reported from Harith Ash'ari.

(٣٥٣٢) حضرت ابوذر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب تک بندہ نماز میں ادھر ادھر نہ جھانکے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی طرف متوجہ رہتا ہے اور جب وہ اپنا چہرہ پھیرتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ بھی اس کی طرف سے توجہ ہٹا لیتا ہے۔
حارث اشعری سے بھی اس کے ہم معنی روایت منقول ہے۔
(3532) Hazrat Abuzar (RA) farmate hain ke Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Jab tak banda namaz mein idhar udhar na jhanke to Allah Ta'ala uski taraf mutawajjeh rehta hai aur jab wo apna chehra phirta hai to Allah Ta'ala bhi uski taraf se tawajjuh hata leta hai. Haris Ashari se bhi iske hum mani riwayat manqol hai.
(3533) (a) Harith Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Allah, the Exalted, revealed to Yahya ibn Zakariya (peace be upon him) and he stood up, praising and glorifying Allah. Then he said: Allah has enjoined prayer upon you, and when a person stands for prayer, Allah turns His attention towards him. Therefore, no one should turn their face away from Him. When a person turns their face away, Allah removes His attention from them.
(b) This narration was reported by AbuTurab through his own chain of narrators. In it, it is stated that when you have straightened your faces (towards the Qibla), then do not look here and there.
(c) This same narration was reported by Yahya ibn Abi Kathir, from Zayd ibn Salam, that when you stand for prayer, do not glance around.

(٣٥٣٣) (ا) حارث اشعری (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ تعالیٰ نے حضرت یحییٰ بن زکریا (علیہ السلام) پر وحی نازل کی تو انھوں نے کھڑے ہو کر اللہ کی تعریف کی اور اس کی ثنا بیان کی۔ پھر فرمایا : اللہ نے تمہیں نماز کا حکم دیا ہے اور آدمی جب نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہوتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی طرف متوجہ ہوجاتا ہے، لہٰذا کوئی بھی اپنے چہرے کو اس سے نہ پھیرے۔ جب بندہ چہرہ پھیر لیتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ بھی اس سے اپنی توجہ ہٹا لیتا ہے۔
(ب) یہ روایت ابوتوبہ نے معاویہ کے واسطے سے بیان کی ہے۔ اس میں ہے کہ جب تم اپنے چہروں کو (قبلہ کی طرف) سیدھا کرلو تو پھر ادھر ادھر مت دیکھو۔
(ج) یہی روایت یحییٰ بن ابی کثیر زید بن سلام کے واسطے سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب تم نماز کے لیے کھڑے ہوجاؤ تو ادھر ادھر مت جھانکو۔
(3533) (a) Haris Ashari (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Allah Ta'ala ne Hazrat Yahya bin Zakariya (Alaihis Salam) per wahi nazil ki to unhon ne kharay ho kar Allah ki tareef ki aur uski sana bayan ki. Phir farmaya: Allah ne tumhen namaz ka hukum diya hai aur aadmi jab namaz ke liye khara hota hai to Allah Ta'ala uski taraf mutawajjah ho jata hai, lihaza koi bhi apne chehre ko us se na phire. Jab banda chehra phir leta hai to Allah Ta'ala bhi us se apni tawajjuh hata leta hai.
(b) Yeh riwayat Abu Tuba ne Mu'awiya ke wastay se bayan ki. Is mein hai keh jab tum apne chehron ko (qibla ki taraf) seedha kar lo to phir idhar udhar mat dekho.
(c) Yehi riwayat Yahya bin Abi Kathir Zaid bin Salam ke wastay se bayan karte hain keh jab tum namaz ke liye kharay ho jao to idhar udhar mat jhankon.
