Chapter on What Is Said about Mud from Rain in the Road
باب ما جاء في طين المطر في الطريق
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 4268
A woman from Banu Abdil Ash'al said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! There is a filthy path between me and the mosque, what should we do when it rains? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Isn't the path after it better than this? I said: Why not! He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: So this is its alternative.

(٤٢٦٨) بنو عبدالأشہل کی ایک عورت فرماتی ہیں : میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میرے اور مسجد کے درمیان گندہ راستہ ہے، جب بارش ہو تو ہم کیا کریں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا اس کے بعد والا راستہ اس سے زیادہ عمدہ نہیں ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : کیوں نہیں ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : یہ اس کے بدل ہے۔
4268 bnu abdullahshal ki aik aurat farmati hain : main ne kaha : aye allah ke rasool ! mere aur masjid ke darmiyaan ganda rasta hai, jab barish ho to hum kya karen ? aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : kya is ke baad wala rasta is se zyada umda nahin hai ? main ne kaha : kyun nahin ! aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : yeh is ke badal hai.
Amr bin Ala, narrating from his father and he from his grandfather, said: "I went with Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) for Friday prayer, and he was walking. On the way, a puddle of mud and water came between Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and the mosque. Sayyidina Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) took off his shoes and trousers. I said: 'O Commander of the Faithful! Give them to me, I will carry them.' He said: 'No!' When we passed, he put on his trousers and shoes, then he led the people in prayer and did not wash his feet."

(٤٢٦٩) عمرو بن علا اپنے والد سے اور وہ اپنے دادا سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں علی بن ابی طالب (رض) کے ساتھ جمعہ کے لیے آیا، وہ پیدل چل رہے تھے۔ راستے میں علی (رض) اور مسجد کے درمیان مٹی اور پانی کا ایک حوض آگیا، سیدنا علی (رض) نے اپنا جوتا اور شلوار اتار دی۔ میں نے کہا : اے امیر المؤمنین ! مجھے دے دیں، میں اس کو اٹھالوں۔ فرمایا : نہیں ! جب ہم گزر گئے تو انھوں نے اپنی شلوار اور جوتے پہن لیے، پھر لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی اور اپنے پاؤں نہیں دھوئے۔
4269 Amr bin Ala apne walid se aur wo apne dada se naqal farmate hain ki main Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) ke sath juma ke liye aaya wo paidal chal rahe the raste mein Ali (RA) aur masjid ke darmiyan mitti aur pani ka ek hauz aagaya Sayyiduna Ali (RA) ne apna joota aur shalwar utar di maine kaha aye Amiral momineen mujhe de dein main isko uthalun farmaya nahi jab hum guzar gaye to unhon ne apni shalwar aur joote pehan liye phir logon ko namaz parhayi aur apne paon nahin dhoye
Yahya bin Waththab narrated that he asked Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), "Can I enter the mosque barefooted after performing ablution?" He replied, "There is no harm in it."

(٤٢٧٠) یحییٰ بن وثاب فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس (رض) سے سوال کیا : کیا میں وضو کرنے کے بعد ننگے پاؤں مسجد میں چلا جاؤں۔ وہ فرمانے لگے : کوئی حرج نہیں۔
4270 Yahya bin Wasab farmate hain ki maine Ibn Abbas (RA) se sawal kiya : kya main wuzu karne ke bad nange paon masjid mein chala jaoon. Wo farmane lage : koi harj nahin.
(4271) When Abdur Rahman Aslami used to go to offer Friday prayer, there would be mud on the way. He used to carry a vessel of water with him, then he would pass through it and wash his feet and enter the mosque.

(٤٢٧١) عبدالرحمن اسلمی جب جمعہ پڑھنے کے لیے جاتے تو راستے میں کیچڑ ہوتا، وہ اپنے ساتھ پانی کا ایک برتن رکھتے، پھر وہاں سے گزر کر اپنے پاؤں دھو لیتے اور مسجد میں داخل ہوجاتے۔
(4271) abdul rahman islami jab jumma parhne ke liye jate to raste mein kichar hota, woh apne sath pani ka ek bartan rakhte, phir wahan se guzar kar apne paon dho lete aur masjid mein dakhil hojate.
