Chapter on a man freeing his slave woman and then marrying her

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There are three types of people who will receive double the reward: A person who believed in his Prophet from the original scripture and when he found the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he believed in him, followed him and affirmed him, for him are two rewards. And a slave who fulfills the right of Allah and fulfills the right of his master, for him are also two rewards. And a man who has a slave-girl, he raises her well and gives her good upbringing, then he teaches her good manners and gives her a good education, then he sets her free and marries her, for him are also two rewards."

(١٣٧٣٨) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تین قسم کے بندے دگنا اجر دیے جاتے ہیں، ایک آدمی اصل کتاب میں سے جو اپنے نبی پر ایمان لایا اور جب اس نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو پا لیا اس پر بھی ایمان لایا اور اس کی اتباع کی اور تصدیق کی اس کے لیے دو اجر ہیں۔ اور وہ غلام جو اللہ کے حق کو بھی ادا کرتا ہے اور اپنے مالک کے حق کو بھی ادا کرتا ہے اس کے لیے بھی دو اجر ہیں اور ایک وہ آدمی جس کی لونڈی ہے وہ اس کی پرورش کرتا ہے اور اچھی پرورش کرتا ہے پھر اس کو ادب سکھاتا ہے اس کی تربیت اچھی کرتا ہے۔ پھر اس کو آزاد کرتا ہے اور اس سے شادی کرتا ہے تو اس کے لیے بھی دو اجر ہیں۔
13738 Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Teen qisam ke bande dugna ajr diye jate hain, aik aadmi asal kitab mein se jo apne nabi par iman laya aur jab us ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko pa liya us par bhi iman laya aur us ki ittiba ki aur tasdeeq ki us ke liye do ajr hain. Aur wo ghulam jo Allah ke haq ko bhi ada karta hai aur apne malik ke haq ko bhi ada karta hai us ke liye bhi do ajr hain aur aik wo aadmi jis ki laundi hai wo us ki parwarish karta hai aur acchi parwarish karta hai phir us ko adab sikhata hai us ki tarbiyat acchi karta hai. Phir us ko azad karta hai aur us se shadi karta hai to us ke liye bhi do ajr hain.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever trains his slave-girl and trains her well, and teaches her and teaches her well, then frees her and marries her, will have a double reward. And the slave who fulfills his duty to his Lord and to his master, will also have a double reward."

(١٣٧٣٩) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو آدمی بھی اپنی لونڈی کی تربیت کرتا ہے اور اچھی تربیت کرتا ہے اس کو تعلیم دلاتا ہے اور اچھی تعلیم دلاتا ہے، پھر اس کو آزاد کرتا ہے اور اس سے شادی کرتا ہے تو اس کے لیے دو اجر ہیں اور جو غلام اپنے رب کا بھی حق ادا کرتا ہے اور اپنے مالک کا بھی حق ادا کرتا ہے، اس کے لیے بھی دو اجر ہیں۔
13739 Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Jo aadmi bhi apni londi ki tarbiyat karta hai aur acchi tarbiyat karta hai usko taleem dilata hai aur acchi taleem dilata hai, phir usko azad karta hai aur usse shadi karta hai to uske liye do ajr hain aur jo gulam apne Rab ka bhi haq ada karta hai aur apne malik ka bhi haq ada karta hai, uske liye bhi do ajr hain.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: When a man sets his slave-girl free and then marries her with a new dowry, then for him are two rewards.

(١٣٧٤٠) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب آدمی اپنی لونڈی کو آزاد کرے پھر نئے حق مہر کے ساتھ اس سے شادی کرلے تو اس کے لیے دو اجر ہیں۔
(13740) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Jab aadmi apni laundi ko azad kare phir naye haq mehr ke sath us se shadi karle to us ke liye do ajr hain.
Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) took Safiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) as a captive, then he set her free and married her. Thabit al-Bunani said: I asked Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), “What was her dowry?” He said, “Her dowry was her emancipation; he set her free and then married her.”

(١٣٧٤٢) انس بن مالک (رض) فرما رہے تھے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صفیہ (رض) کو قیدی بنایا، پھر اس کو آزاد کیا اور اس سے شادی کی۔ ثابت بناتی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے انس (رض) سے پوچھا : حق مہر کیا تھا ؟ فرمایا : حق مہر اس کا نفس تھا اس کو آزاد کیا، پھر شادی کرلی۔
13742 Anas bin Malik (RA) farma rahay thay kay Nabi (SAW) nay Safiyyah (RA) ko qaidee banaya, phir uss ko aazaad kiya aur uss se shaadi ki. Sabit binti kehte hain kay main nay Anas (RA) se poocha: Haq meher kya tha? Farmaya: Haq meher uss ka nafs tha uss ko aazaad kiya, phir shaadi karli.
Nafi' said that Abdullah bin Umar disliked leaving a woman in a state of limbo regarding her marriage contract until her dowry was specified. The Shaikh said: The narration of Abu Musa, on the authority of Abi Bakr bin Ayash, supports this.

(١٣٧٤٤) نافع فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) عورت کی آزادی کو اس کا حق مہر مقرر کردینے کو ناپسند فرماتے تھے یہاں تک کہ اس کا مہر مقرر کردیا جائے۔
شیخ فرماتے ہیں : ابو موسیٰ جو ابی بکر بن عیاش سے نقل فرماتے ہیں وہ حدیث اسی پر دلالت کرتی ہے۔
(13744) Nafi farmate hain ki Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar (RA) aurat ki azadi ko uska haq mehr muqarrar kar dene ko napasand farmate thay yahan tak ki uska mehr muqarrar kar diya jaye. Sheikh farmate hain : Abu Musa jo Abi Bakr bin Ayash se naqal farmate hain woh hadees isi par dalalat karti hai.
Umm Allah bint Razina narrates from her mother that when the day of Banu Qurayza and Nadir came, they took Safiyya as a captive. When Allah granted victory to you (Prophet), at that time too, she was a captive (slave girl). When Safiyya (may Allah be pleased with her) saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), she said: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that you (peace and blessings be upon him) are the Messenger of Allah. You (peace and blessings be upon him) set her free and gave her the message of marriage and married her, and Razina paid her dowry.

(١٣٧٤٥) امۃ اللہ بنت رزینہ اپنی والدہ سے نقل فرماتی ہیں کہ جب بنو قریظہ اور نضیر کا دن تھا وہ صفیہ کو قیدی بنا کر لائے۔ جب اللہ نے آپ کو فتح عطا فرمائی تو اس وقت بھی وہ قیدی تھی (لونڈی تھی) ۔ جب صفیہ (رض) نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا تو کہنے لگیں : میں گواہی دیتی ہوں کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود نہیں اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اللہ کے رسول ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو چھوڑ کر آزاد کردیا اور شادی کا پیغام دے کر نکاح کرلیا اور اس کا حق مہر رزینہ نے ادا کیا تھا۔
13745 Umat ullah binat Razeena apni walida se naqal farmati hain ke jab Banu Quraiza aur Nazir ka din tha wo Safiya ko qaidee bana kar laaye. Jab Allah ne aap ko fatah ata farmai to us waqt bhi wo qaidee thi (londi thi). Jab Safiya (Raz) ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha to kehne lagi: main gawaahi deti hun ke Allah ke ilawa koi mabood nahin aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Allah ke Rasool hain. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us ko chhor kar azad kar diya aur shadi ka paigham de kar nikah kar liya aur us ka haq meher Razeena ne ada kiya tha.
