The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw a trace of yellowness on Abdur Rahman bin Auf and asked, "O Abu Muhammad! What is this?" Abdur Rahman said, "O Prophet of Allah! I have married a woman for gold equal to the weight of a date stone." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "May Allah bless you, give a dowry, even if it is only a goat."

(١٣٨٤٠) حضرت انس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حضرت عبدالرحمن بن عوف پر زردی کا نشان دیکھا تو پوچھا : اے ابو محمد ! یہ کیا ہے ؟ تو عبدالرحمن کہنے لگے : اے اللہ کے نبی ! میں نے ایک عورت سے شادی کی ہے، کھجور کی گٹھلی کے وزن کے برابر سونے سے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ تجھے برکت دے، ولیمہ کرو چاہے ایک بکری ہی سہی۔
Hazrat Anas (RA) se riwayat hai ki aap (SAW) ne Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf par zardi ka nishan dekha to poocha: Aye Abu Muhammad! yeh kya hai? To Abdul Rahman kehne lage: Aye Allah ke Nabi! maine ek aurat se shadi ki hai, khajoor ki guthli ke wazan ke barabar sone se. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Allah tujhe barkat de, walima karo chahe ek bakri hi sahi.
(13841) Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to congratulate a person who got married by saying: “May Allah bless you, and shower His blessings upon you, and unite both of you in goodness.”
(b) In Muqri’s narration, it is stated that when a person got married, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to congratulate him.

(١٣٨٤١) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کسی شادی کرنے والے شخص کو مبارک باد دیتے تو فرماتے ؟ اللہ تجھے برکت دے اور تیرے اوپر برکت کرے اور تم دونوں کو بھلائی میں جمع کر دے۔
(ب) مقری کی روایت میں ہے کہ جب کوئی شخص شادی کرتا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس کو مبارکباد دیتے تھے۔
(13841) Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain ki Nabi (SAW) kisi shadi karne wale shakhs ko mubarakbaad dete to farmate? Allah tujhe barkat de aur tere upar barkat kare aur tum donon ko bhalai mein jama kar de.
(b) Muqri ki riwayat mein hai ki jab koi shakhs shadi karta to Nabi (SAW) usko mubarakbaad dete the.
Hassan narrates that Aqil bin Abi Talib married a woman from the Banu Jusham tribe in Basra, so people said to him: Congratulations and congratulations on the son too. So Aqil said: Don't say that; because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden it and ordered us to say: May Allah bless you and shower His blessings upon you.

(١٣٨٤٢) حضرت حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ عقیل بن ابی طالب نے بنو جشم قبیلہ کی عورت سے بصرہ میں شادی کی تو لوگوں نے ان سے کہا : مبارک باد ہو اور بیٹے کی مبارک باد بھی دی تو عقیل کہنے لگے : ایسے نہ کہو؛ کیونکہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس سے منع فرمایا ہے اور ہمیں حکم دیا کہ یوں کہو کہ اللہ آپ کو برکت دے اور آپ کے اوپر برکت کرے۔
(13842) Hazrat Hasan farmate hain ke Aqeel bin Abi Talib ne Banu Jashm qabeele ki aurat se Basra mein shaadi ki to logon ne un se kaha: Mubarakbaad ho aur bete ki mubarakbaad bhi di to Aqeel kehne lage: Aise na kaho; kyunki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne is se mana farmaya hai aur hamein hukm diya ke yun kaho ke Allah aap ko barkat de aur aap ke upar barkat kare.
