Chapter: Those Behind Whom Friday Prayer Is Valid, Be They Leaders or Subordinates, Free Men or Slaves
باب من تكون خلفه الجمعة من أمير ومأمور وغير أمير حرا كان أو عبدا

Abdullah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Rabdha where there was an Abyssinian slave at a spring. When the call to prayer was given, Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked to lead the prayer, but the slave hesitated. Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Come forward, for my close friend (the Prophet) advised me to listen and obey, even if the one leading is a black slave with his ears cut off."

(٥٨٥٤) عبداللہ بن صامت (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ابو ذر (رض) ربذہ گئے اور چشمہ پر ایک حبشی غلام تھا ، جب نماز کی اقامت کہہ دی گئی تو ابو ذر (رض) سے نماز کے لیے کہا گیا تو غلام پیچھے ہٹا۔ ابو ذر (رض) نے اس کو فرمایا : آگے بڑھو؛کیونکہ مجھے میرے خلیل نے وصیت کی کہ میں سنوں اور اطاعت کروں ، اگرچہ کان کٹا حبشی غلام ہی امیرکیوں نہ ہو۔
Abdullah bin Samat (RA) farmate hain ki Abu Zar (RA) Rabza gaye aur chashma par ek Habshi ghulam tha, jab namaz ki iqamat keh di gayi to Abu Zar (RA) se namaz ke liye kaha gaya to ghulam peeche hata. Abu Zar (RA) ne usko farmaya: Aage badho; kyunki mujhe mere khalil ne wasiyat ki hai ki main sunoon aur itaat karoon, agarche kaan kata Habshi ghulam hi amir kyun na ho.
Abu 'Ubayd said: "I attended the Eid prayer with 'Umar bin al-Khattab, 'Uthman bin 'Affan, and 'Ali bin Abi Talib, while 'Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was under siege in those days."

(٥٨٥٥) ابو عبید فرماتے ہیں کہ میں عید کی نماز میں عمر بن خطاب عثمان بن عفان اور علی بن أبی طالب کے ساتھ حاضر ہوا اور حضرت عثمان (رض) ان دنوں محصور تھے۔

'Ubaidullah bin Adi bin Khiyar narrated: I went to 'Uthman while he was besieged in his house and 'Ali was leading the people in prayer. I said: "O leader of the believers! I feel uncomfortable praying with these people while you are besieged, and you are the Imam. What is your opinion about praying with them?" 'Uthman said: "Prayer is a good deed as long as people do it. So when they do good, join them in it, and when they do evil, stay away from them."

(٥٨٥٦) عبید اللہ بن عدی بن خیارفرماتے ہیں کہ وہ حضرت عثمان (رض) نے پاس آئے، جب وہ گھر میں بند تھے اور حضرت علی (رض) لوگوں کو نماز پڑھاتے تھے۔ میں نے کہا : اے امیر المؤمنین ! میں ان لوگوں کے ساتھ نماز میں حرج محسوس کرتا ہوں اور آپ کا گھیرا کیا ہوا ہیحالاں کہ آپ امام ہیں، ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھنے کے متعلق آپ کا کیا خیال ہے ؟ حضرت عثمان (رض) فرمانے لگے : نماز اچھا کام ہے جب تک لوگ کریں۔ جب وہ اچھائی کریں تو آپ بھی ان کے ساتھ مل کر اچھائی کرو اور جب وہ برائی کریں تو آپ ان سے بچ جاؤ۔
(5856) Obaidullah bin Adi bin Khiyar farmate hain keh woh Hazrat Usman (RA) ke pas aye, jab woh ghar mein band the aur Hazrat Ali (RA) logon ko namaz parhate the. Main ne kaha: Aye Amir-ul-Momineen! main in logon ke sath namaz mein harj mehsoos karta hun aur aap ka gheera kiya hua hai halankeh aap Imam hain, in ke sath namaz parhne ke mutaliq aap ka kya khayal hai? Hazrat Usman (RA) farmane lage: Namaz achcha kaam hai jab tak log karen. Jab woh achchai karen to aap bhi un ke sath mil kar achchai karo aur jab woh burai karen to aap un se bach jao.
'Abd al-'Aziz b. 'Abd al-Malik transmits from his father that I was sitting near the pulpit on Friday with 'Uqbah b. 'Amir (may Allah be pleased with him). Muhammad b. Abi Hudhayfah arrived and sat on the pulpit, delivered a sermon to the people and recited a Surah from the Quran to them. He was among those who had memorized the most Quran. 'Uqbah b. 'Amir said, "Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) have spoken the truth; for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, 'People will recite the Quran, but it will not go below their throats. And they will slip away from the religion just as an arrow slips out of its prey.'" Ibn Abi Hudhayfah heard this and said, "By Allah! If you are truthful - and I do not consider you to be a liar - then surely, I am one of them."

(٥٨٥٧) عبد العزیز بن عبد الملک اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں جمعہ کے دن منبر کے قریب عقبہ بن عامر (رض) کے ساتھ بیٹھا ہوا تھا۔ محمد بن ابو حذیفہ تشریف لائے اور منبر پر بیٹھ گئے ، لوگوں کو خطبہ دیا اور لوگوں پر قرآن کی سورت پڑھی۔ وہ لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ قرآن پڑھے ہوئے تھے۔ عقبہ بن عامر فرمانے لگے کہ اللہ اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے سچ فرمایا؛کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ لوگ قرآن پڑھیں گے، لیکن یہ ان کے حلقوں سے نیچے نہ گزرے گا اور وہ دین سے اس طرح نکل جائیں گے جیسے تیر شکار سے نکل جاتا ہے۔ ابن ابی حذیفہ نے یہ بات سنی تو فرمایا : اللہ کی قسم ! اگر آپ سچے ہیں تو میں آپ کو جھوٹا تصور نہیں کرتا بیشک آپ انہی میں سے ہیں۔
(5857) Abd ul Aziz bin Abd ul Malik apne walid se naql farmate hain keh main Jumma ke din mimbar ke qareeb Aqba bin Aamir (RA) ke sath betha hua tha. Muhammad bin Abu Huzaifa tashreef laaye aur mimbar per baith gaye, logon ko khutba diya aur logon per Quran ki surat parhi. Woh logon mein sab se zyada Quran parha hue thay. Aqba bin Aamir farmane lage keh Allah aur Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne sach farmaya; kyunki maine Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna keh log Quran parhain ge, lekin yeh un ke halqon se niche na guzre ga aur woh deen se is tarah nikal jayen ge jaise teer shikar se nikal jata hai. Ibn e Abi Huzaifa ne yeh baat suni to farmaya: Allah ki qasam! Agar aap sache hain to main aap ko jhoota tasawwur nahin karta beshak aap unhi mein se hain.
