Chapter: A Man Stands for Another Man from His Seat
باب الرجل يقوم للرجل من مجلسه
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5899
Abu Khusaib narrated that I was sitting when Ibn Umar came and a man left his place. He refused to sit there and sat somewhere else. The man was saying: "What was wrong with you sitting there?". Ibn Umar said: "I will not sit in your place nor in the place of anyone else, since I heard from the Prophet who said that a man came and another man vacated his place for him. He intended to sit in his place so the Prophet forbade him".

(٥٨٩٩) ابو خصیب فرماتے ہیں کہ میں بیٹھا ہوا تھا کہ ابن عمر (رض) آئے تو ایک آدمی نے اپنی جگہ چھوڑ دی۔ انھوں نے وہاں بیٹھنے سے انکار کردیا اور دوسری جگہ بیٹھ گئے۔ وہ آدمی کہہ رہا تھا : کیا حرج تھا کہ آپ وہاں بیٹھ جاتے۔ ابن عمر (رض) فرمانے لگے : نہ تیری جگہ اور نہ کسی اور کی جگہ میں بیٹھنے والا ہوں۔ جب سے میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا کہ ایک آدمی آیا تو دوسرے نے اس کے لیے جگہ چھوڑ دی۔ اس نے اس کی جگہ بیٹھنے کا ارادہ کیا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس سے منع کردیا۔
(5899) Abu Khusaib farmate hain ki main baitha hua tha ki Ibn Umar (RA) aaye to ek aadmi ne apni jaga chhor di. Unhon ne wahan baithne se inkar kar diya aur dusri jaga baith gaye. Woh aadmi keh raha tha: Kya harj tha ki aap wahan baith jate. Ibn Umar (RA) farmane lage: Na teri jaga aur na kisi aur ki jaga main baithne wala hun. Jab se main ne Nabi (SAW) se suna ki ek aadmi aaya to dusre ne uske liye jaga chhor di. Usne uski jaga baithne ka irada kiya to Nabi (SAW) ne usse mana kar diya.
Sa'eed bin Abu Al-Hasan narrated that Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) came for a testimony, and a man stood up from his place. He (Abu Bakrah) refused to sit there and said, "The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) prohibited this and also that a man wipes his hands on the clothes of another man who is not wearing them."

(٥٩٠٠) سعید بن ابو الحسن نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ابو بکرہ (رض) کسی گواہی کے سلسلہ میں آئے تو ایک آدمی اپنی جگہ سے کھڑا ہوگیا، انھوں نے وہاں بیٹھنے سے انکار کردیا اور فرمایا : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس سے منع کیا ہے اور اس سے بھی کہ آدمی کسی کے کپڑے سے ہاتھ صاف کرے جو اس کو پہنائے نہیں۔
Saeed bin Abu Al Hassan naql farmate hain ke Abu Bakra (RA) kisi gawaahi ke silsile mein aaye to ek aadmi apni jaga se khara hogaya, unhon ne wahan baithne se inkar kardiya aur farmaya: Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne is se mana kiya hai aur is se bhi ke aadmi kisi ke kapre se hath saaf kare jo us ko pehnaye nahin.
(5901) (a) Sa'eed bin Abu Al-Hasan narrated that Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to bear witness, and a man stood up from his place for him. Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'When a man stands up from his place for you, do not sit in his place.'" Or he said, "Do not make a man stand up from his place so that you may sit in it,' and, 'Do not wipe your hands with a garment that you do not own.'"
(b) Ibn Umar and Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with them both) both disliked that someone should stand up from their place for them, or that they should make someone stand up.

(٥٩٠١) (الف) سعید بن ابو الحسن فرماتے ہیں کہ ابوبکرہ (رض) گواہی کے سلسلہ میں آئے تو ان کے لیے ایک آدمی اپنی جگہ سے اٹھ کھڑا ہوا۔ ابوبکرہ (رض) نے فرمایا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرماتی تھے کہ جب کوئی آدمی تیرے لیے اپنی جگہ چھوڑے تو اس جگہ نہ بیٹھ یا فرمایا : کسی آدمی کو اس کی جگہ سے نہ اٹھا کہ پھر تو اس میں بیٹھ جائے اور ایسے کپڑے سے ہاتھ صاف نہ کر جس کا تو مالک نہیں۔
(ب) ابن عمر اور ابو بکرہ (رض) دونوں حضرات ناپسند کرتے تھے کہ کوئی ان کے لیے اپنی جگہ چھوڑے یا وہ خود کسی کو اٹھائیں۔
(5901) (alif) Saeed bin Abu Al Hassan farmate hain keh Abu Bakrah (Razi Allah Anhu) gawahi ke silsile mein aye to un ke liye ek aadmi apni jaga se uth khara huwa. Abu Bakrah (Razi Allah Anhu) ne farmaya keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) farmati thi keh jab koi aadmi tere liye apni jaga chhore to us jaga na baith ya farmaya: kisi aadmi ko us ki jaga se na utha keh phir tu us mein baith jaye aur aise kapre se hath saaf na kar jis ka tu malik nahin. (be) Ibn Umar aur Abu Bakrah (Razi Allah Anhuma) donon hazrat napasand karte the keh koi un ke liye apni jaga chhore ya woh khud kisi ko uthayen.
