Ayyub relates that a man, Nu'ayman or Ibn Nu'ayman, was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) in a state of intoxication, and he ordered that he be flogged.

(١٧٥٢١) ایوب کہتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس نعیمان یا ابن نعیمان کو نشہ کی حالت میں لایا گیا تو آپ نے اسے مارنے کا حکم دیا۔
(17521) ayoob kehte hain keh nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass naiman ya ibn naiman ko nasha ki halat mein laya gaya to aap ne use marne ka hukum diya.
Anas reported that a person who had consumed intoxicants was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ). He ordered about twenty men to beat him with shoes and sticks.
It is possible in this hadith that he was brought after the intoxication had worn off.

(١٧٥٢٢) انس فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک شخص لایا گیا جس نے نشہ کیا تھا۔ آپ نے قریباً ٢٠ آدمیوں کو حکم دیا کہ اسے جوتیوں اور چھڑی سے مارو۔
اس حدیث میں احتمال ہے کہ اسے نشہ اترنے کے بعد لایا گیا تھا۔
(17522) Anas farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas ek shakhs laya gaya jis ne nasha kiya tha. Aap ne qareban 20 admiyon ko hukm diya ke use jootiyon aur chhadi se maro.
Is hadees mein ehtemaal hai ke use nasha utarne ke baad laya gaya tha.
Abu Sa'eed Khudri reported that he did not drink Nabidh from an earthenware pot since a man was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ). He was a man from Banu Suwan. He said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have not drunk wine, but I drank Nabidh from dates in a clay pot." So the Prophet (ﷺ) commanded that he should be beaten with his hands and shoes. And then he forbade making Nabidh in that way.

(١٧٥٢٣) ابو سعید خدری فرماتے ہیں کہ جب سے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس ایک شخص کو لایا گیا میں مٹی کے گھڑے کی نبیذ نہیں پیتا۔ وہ بنشوان نامی آدمی تھا۔ اس نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! میں نے شراب نہیں منقی اور کھجور کا الدباء برتن میں نبیذ بنا کر پیا ہے تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حکم دیا کہ اسے ہاتھوں اور جوتیوں سے مارا جائے اور پھر اس طرح نبیذ بنانے سے منع کردیا۔
17523 Abu Saeed Khudri farmate hain ke jab se Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass ek shakhs ko laya gaya main mitti ke ghare ki nabiz nahi peeta. Woh banshwan nami aadmi tha. Usne kaha: Ya Rasulullah! Maine sharaab nahi munqee aur khajoor ka aldiba bartan mein nabiz bana kar piya hai to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne hukm diya ke use hathon aur jutyon se mara jaye aur phir is tarah nabiz banane se mana kar diya.
Ibn Umar narrated that a man was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) while he was intoxicated. He said: "O Messenger of Allah! I did not drink wine, I drank nabidh of raisins and dates." So he (the Prophet) inflicted the prescribed punishment on him and forbade making nabidh like that.

(١٧٥٢٤) ابن عمر فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس نشے کی حالت میں لایا گیا۔ اس نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! میں نے شراب نہیں پی، منقی اور کھجور کا نبیذ پیا ہے تو آپ نے اسے حد لگائی اور اس طرح نبیذ بنانے سے روک دیا۔
(17524) ibne umar farmate hain keh aik shakhs nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke pass nashe ki halat mein laya gaya. us ne kaha : ya rasoollallah ! mein ne sharab nahin pi, munqi aur khajoor ka nabiz piya hai to aap ne use had lagaai aur is tarah nabiz banane se rok diya.
A drunkard was brought to Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said, "I will send you to someone who will not be lenient with you." He sent him to Mu'ti' bin Aswad and said, "Give him the prescribed punishment tomorrow morning." Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) went to him the next day and saw that he was beating him very harshly. He said, "You have almost killed him! How many lashes have you given him?" He said, "Sixty." He said, "Pay him the blood money for twenty lashes because it is narrated in the Hadith that a drunkard should not be lashed too harshly and he should be lashed after his intoxication has worn off."

(١٧٥٢٦) حضرت عمر (رض) کے پاس ایک شرابی لایا گیا تو فرمایا : میں تجھے ایسے شخص کے پاس بھیجوں گا جو تجھ سے کچھ نرمی نہیں برتے گا۔ اسے مطیع بن اسود کے پاس بھیج دیا اور کہا کہ کل صبح اسے حد لگانا۔ حضرت عمر (رض) اگلے دن اس کے پاس گئے تو وہ بہت سخت مار مار رہا تھا تو دیکھ کر فرمایا : تو نے تو اسے مار ہی ڈالا، کتنے کوڑے مارے ہیں ؟ کہا : ساٹھ تو فرمایا : ٢٠ کا قصاص دے۔ کیونکہ حدیث میں یہ ہے کہ شرابی کو زیادہ سخت کوڑے نہ مارے جائیں اور اس کا نشہ اترنے کے بعد اسے کوڑے مارے جائیں۔
Hazrat Umar (RA) ke pass aik sharabi laya gaya to farmaya : mein tujhe aise shakhs ke pass bhejoon ga jo tujh se kuch narmi nahi barte ga. Use muti ban aswad ke pass bhej diya aur kaha keh kal subah use had lagana. Hazrat Umar (RA) agle din uske pass gaye to woh bahut sakht mar mar raha tha to dekh kar farmaya : tu ne to use mar hi dala, kitne kore mare hain ? Kaha : sath to farmaya : 20 ka qasas de. Kyunki hadees mein yeh hai keh sharabi ko zyada sakht kore na mare jayen aur us ka nasha utarne ke baad use kore mare jayen.
Abu Majid said that the nephew of a Muslim man took intoxicants. He said, "O Abu Abdur Rahman! My nephew has taken intoxicants." He replied, "Shake him up, arouse him, and smell his breath." They did so. Then he was put in jail, and the next morning he was summoned and flogged in accordance with the established tradition.

(١٧٥٢٧) ابو ماجد کہتے ہیں کہ مسلمانوں میں سے ایک شخص کا بھتیجا نشہ کر بیٹھا۔ اس نے کہا : اے ابو عبدالرحمن ! میرے بھتیجے نے نشہ کیا ہے تو فرمایا : اسے ہلاؤ جلاؤ اور اس کے منہ کی بو سونگھو۔ انھوں نے ایسے ہی کیا۔ پھر اسے جیل میں ڈال دیا گیا اور اگلے دن صبح بلوایا گیا آگے وہی سخت کوڑے مارنے کی سابقہ روایت بیان فرمائی۔
(17527) abu majid kehte hain ki musalmanon mein se ek shakhs ka bhateja nasha kar baitha is ne kaha ae abu abdurrahman mere bhateje ne nasha kiya hai to farmaya ise hilao jalao aur is ke munh ki boo songho inhon ne aise hi kiya phir ise jail mein daal diya gaya aur agle din subah bulaya gaya aage wohi sakht kore marne ki sabiqah riwayat bayan farmai.
Abu Zinad narrated from the jurists of Medina that the punishment of drinking should not be carried out on one who is intoxicated until they are sober.

(١٧٥٢٨) ابو زناد فقہائِ اہل مدینہ سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ نشہ کرنے والے کو نشہ اترنے سے پہلے حد نہیں لگانی چاہیے۔
(17528) Abu Zinad fuqha e ahl e Madina se naql farmate hain ke nasha karne wale ko nasha utarne se pehle had nahi lagani chahie.
