Chapter: A Muslim takes precaution in war against killing his father; even if he kills him, there is no sin
باب المسلم يتوقى في الحرب قتل أبيه، ولو قتله لم يكن به بأس

When Talha bin Buraira (may Allah be pleased with him) met the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), he said to the Prophet, "Command me to do whatever you like. I will not disobey you in any matter." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was surprised at this, as he was still young. He said to him, "Go and kill your father!" When he went back to carry this out, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called him back and said, "I was not sent to break family ties."

(١٧٨٣٤) حضرت طلحہ بن برائ (رض) جب نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے ملے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کہا : جو آپ پسند کریں مجھے حکم دیں۔ میں کسی معاملہ میں آپ کی نافرمانی نہیں کروں گا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس پر تعجب کیا اور وہ ابھی چھوٹے تھے۔ آپ نے ان کو کہا : ” اپنے باپ کو قتل کر ! “ جب وہ واپس ہوا تاکہ اس پر عمل کرے تو آپ نے اس کو بلایا اور فرمایا : ” مجھے رشتے توڑنے کے لیے نہیں بھیجا گیا۔ “
17834 Hazrat Talha bin Buraira (RA) jab Nabi (SAW) se mile to aap (SAW) se kaha : jo aap pasand karen mujhe hukm den. Mein kisi mamle mein aap ki nafarmani nahi karon ga. Nabi (SAW) ne is par tajjub kiya aur wo abhi chhote the. Aap ne un ko kaha : ” apne baap ko qatl kar ! “ Jab wo wapis hua takay is par amal kare to aap ne is ko bulaya aur farmaya : ” mujhe rishte torrne ke liye nahi bheja gaya. “.
Abdullah bin Shaozab narrates that on the day of Badr, Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah's father was setting up idols for him, but Abu Ubaidah kept moving away from him. When Jarrah persisted in this act, Abu Ubaidah intended to kill him. Allah Almighty revealed this verse regarding this incident when Abu Ubaidah killed his father: {You will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons.} [Al-Mujadila 22] "You will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having affection for those who oppose Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their fathers or their sons."

(١٧٨٣٥) حضرت عبداللہ بن شوذب فرماتے ہیں کہ بدر کے دن ابو عبیدہ بن جراح کا والد اس کے لیے معبود کھڑے کرتا تھا اور ابو عبیدہ ان سے کنارہ کشی کرتے تھے۔ جب جراح نے اس عمل میں زیادتی کی تو ابو عبیدہ نے انھیں قتل کرنا چاہا۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کے متعلق یہ آیت اتاری۔ جب ابو عبیدہ نے اپنے باپ کو قتل کردیا : { لاَ تَجِدُ قَوْمًا یُؤْمِنُوْنَ بِاللّٰہِ وَالْیَوْمِ الْآخِرِ یُوَآدُّوْنَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوْلَہٗ وَلَوْ کَانُوْا آبَائَ ہُمْ اَوْ اَبْنَآئَ ہُمْ } [المجادلۃ ٢٢] ” تو ان لوگوں کو جو اللہ اور یوم آخرت پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں آپ نہیں پائیں گے کہ وہ ان لوگوں سے دوستی رکھتے ہوں جنہوں نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی مخالفت کی خواہ وہ ان کے باپ ہوں یا بیٹے۔ “
(17835) Hazrat Abdullah bin Shozab farmate hain ki Badr ke din Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah ka walid uske liye but khade karta tha aur Abu Ubaidah unse kinara kashi karte thay. Jab Jarrah ne is amal mein zyadti ki to Abu Ubaidah ne unhen qatal karna chaha. Allah ta'ala ne uske mutalliq yeh ayat utari. Jab Abu Ubaidah ne apne baap ko qatal kar diya: {La tajidu qawman yu'minuna billahi wal yawmil akhir yuwaaduna man hadal laha wa rasoolahu wa law kanu abaahum aw abnaahum} [Al-Mujadila 22] ”To un logon ko jo Allah aur Yaum-e-Aakhirat par imaan rakhte hain aap nahin payenge ki woh un logon se dosti rakhte hon jinhon ne Allah aur uske Rasool ki mukhalifat ki chahe woh unke baap hon ya bete."
Malik ibn Umair (who had lived during the pre-Islamic period) reported: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I met the enemy and among them was my father. I heard him speak ill of you, and I could not bear it. I attacked him with my spear and killed him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent. Then another man came and said: I met my father and left him, for I wished someone else would reach him before me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again remained silent.

(١٧٨٣٦) حضرت مالک بن عمیر فرماتے ہیں (اور انھوں نے جاہلیت کا دور پایا ہے) کہ ایک آدمی نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا اور اس نے کہا : میں دشمن سے ملا۔ ان میں میرا باپ بھی تھا۔ میں نے اس کے منہ سے آپ کے بارے میں ناپسندیدہ بات سنی۔ میں صبر نہیں کرسکا۔ میں نے نیزہ سے اس پر وار کیا۔ نتیجتاً وہ قتل ہوگیا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اس پر خاموش رہے۔ پھر دوسرا شخص آیا اور اس نے کہا : میں اپنے باپ کو ملا اور اس کو چھوڑ دیا اور میں نے چاہا کہ اس کو اور میرے علاوہ کوئی پہنچ جائے گا نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) پھر بھی خاموش رہے۔
(17836) Hazrat Malik bin Omair farmate hain (aur unhon ne jahiliyat ka daur paya hai) keh aik aadmi Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke paas aaya aur us ne kaha: main dushman se mila. In mein mera baap bhi tha. Maine us ke munh se aap ke baare mein napasandeedah baat suni. Main sabar nahin kar saka. Maine neze se us par waar kiya. Nateejatan woh qatal ho gaya. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) us par khamosh rahe. Phir doosra shakhs aaya aur us ne kaha: main apne baap ko mila aur us ko chhor diya aur maine chaha keh us ko aur mere alawa koi pohanch jayega. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) phir bhi khamosh rahe.
