Chapter: The owner of wealth should not prevent the necessitous person from it, if he has it
باب: صاحب المال لا يمنع المضطر فضلا، إن كان عنده
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 19666
Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that once they were on a journey with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Suddenly a man came riding a camel. He was looking right and left. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever has an extra mount should give it to the one who does not have one, and whoever has extra provisions should give them to the one who does not have any." Thus, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned different types of wealth, so we thought that we have no right over any excess wealth.

(١٩٦٦٦) ابوسعید (رض) فرما فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک سفر میں ہم نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ تھے۔ اچانک ایک آدمی اونٹ پر سوار آیا وہ دائیں بائیں گھوم رہا تھا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس کے پاس زائد سواری ہو، وہ اسے دے دے، جس کے پاس سواری نہیں ہے اور جس کے پاس زائد زادہ راہ ہو، وہ اس کو دے دے جس کے پاس نہیں ہے۔ اس طرح آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے مال کی اقسام ذکر کیں تو ہم نے خیال کیا کہ زائد مال میں ہمارا کوئی حق ہی نہیں۔
(19666) Abu Saeed (Raz) farmate hain ke aik safar mein hum Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke sath thay. Achanak aik aadmi unt par sawar aaya woh daen baen ghoom raha tha. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jis ke pass zaid sawari ho, woh usey de de, jis ke pass sawari nahin hai aur jis ke pass zaid zadah rah ho, woh us ko de de jis ke pass nahin hai. Is tarah aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne maal ki aqsam zikar kin to hum ne khayal kiya ke zaid maal mein humara koi haq hi nahin.
Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set the captives free."

(١٩٦٦٧) ابو موسیٰ اشعری (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم بھوکوں کو کھلایا کرو۔ بیمار کی تیمار دری کرو اور گردنوں کو آزاد کرو۔
(19667) Abu Musa Ashari (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Tum bhookon ko khilaya karo. Beemar ki timaar dari karo aur gardanon ko azad karo.
Abdullah bin Mas'ud reported that he heard Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) ascribing miserliness to Ibn Zubair. He said that he heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: "He is not a believer who eats his fill while his neighbor remains hungry."

(١٩٦٦٨) عبداللہ بن مساور فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابن عباس (رض) سے سنا، وہ ابن زبیر کو بخل کی جانب منسوب کر رہے تھے۔ وہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا، آپ فرماتے تھے : وہ شخص مومن نہیں جو بذات خود سیر ہو کر کھائے اور اس کا ہمسایہ بھوکا رہا۔
(19668) Abdullah bin Masood farmate hain ke maine Ibn Abbas (rz) se suna, woh Ibn Zubair ko buql ki janib mansoob kar rahe the. Woh farmate hain ke maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna, Aap farmate the: Woh shakhs momin nahi jo ba-zat-e-khud ser ho kar khaaye aur us ka hamsayh bhoka raha.
'Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Layla reported that some people of the Ansar were traveling. They passed by some Arab Bedouins and requested their hospitality, but they refused. So, they overpowered them and took some of what they had. The villagers went to 'Umar, and the Ansar were afraid that he would punish them. 'Umar intended to punish them, and he said, “You keep back the milk of the camels and sheep night and day, even though the traveler has more right to the water on which he camps!” In the narration of Yahya bin Adam, it says that some of the Ansar passed by a people while they were in their homes and requested their hospitality. They refused, so they took their milk by force. 'Umar said, “You withhold what Allah makes to flow, night and day! The traveler, who is patient, has more right to the water.”

(١٩٦٦٩) عبدالرحمن بن ابی لیلیٰ فرماتے ہیں کہ انصار کے لوگوں نے سفر کیا، وہ ایک عرب قبیلے کے پاس سے گذرے تو ان سے مہمان نوازی کا سوال کیا تو انھوں نے انکار کردیا۔ انھوں نے ان کو پکڑ کر تکلیف بھی دی۔ دیہاتی حضرت عمر کے پاس آے تو انصاری ڈر گئے۔ حضرت عمر (رض) نے ان کو تکلیف دینے کا قصد کیا اور فرمایا : تم مسافروں سے اونٹوں، بکریوں کے دودھ رات اور دن کے وقت روکتے ہو۔ حالانکہ مسافر پانی کا زیادہ حق دار ہے، جس پر وہ واقع ہوتا ہے۔ یحییٰ بن آدم کی روایت میں ہے کہ انصاری ایک دیہات کے قریب سے گزرے۔ انھوں نے مہمانی کا سوال کیا تو انھوں نے انکار کردیا۔ لیکن انھوں نے زبردستی دودھ دھو لیا۔ حضرت عمر (رض) نے فرمایا : تم دن اور رات کے اوقات میں جانوروں کے دودھ جو اللہ پیدا کرتا ہے روک لیتے ہو۔ مسافر تو پانی کا زیادہ حق دار ہے جو صبر کرنے والا ہے۔
19669 Abdur Rahman bin Abi Laila farmate hain ki Ansar ke logon ne safar kiya woh ek Arab qabile ke paas se guzre to unse mehman nawazi ka sawal kiya to unhon ne inkar kar diya unhon ne unko pakar kar takleef bhi di dehati Hazrat Umar ke paas aye to Ansaari dar gaye Hazrat Umar (Raz) ne unko takleef dene ka irada kiya aur farmaya tum musafiron se oonton bakriyon ke doodh raat aur din ke waqt rokte ho halanki musafir paani ka zyada haqdar hai jis par woh waqe hota hai yahya bin Adam ki riwayat mein hai ki Ansaari ek dehat ke qareeb se guzre unhon ne mehmani ka sawal kiya to unhon ne inkar kar diya lekin unhon ne zabardasti doodh dho liya Hazrat Umar (Raz) ne farmaya tum din aur raat ke auqat mein janwaron ke doodh jo Allah paida karta hai rok lete ho musafir to paani ka zyada haqdar hai jo sabar karne wala hai
Hassan narrates that a man went to some people who had a spring. He asked them for water, but they didn't give him any, and he died of thirst. So, Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) declared those people as outcasts.

(١٩٦٧١) حضرت حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی چشمہ والوں کے پاس آیا۔ اس نے ان سے پانی طلب کیا، لیکن انھوں نے پانی نہ دیا بلکہ وہ پیاسہ ہی مرگیا۔ تو حضرت عمر (رض) نے ان لوگوں کو چٹی کے طور پر ویت ڈال دی۔
Hazrat Hasan farmate hain ki ek aadmi chashma walon ke pass aaya. Usne unse pani talab kiya, lekin unhon ne pani na diya balki woh pyasa hi mar gaya. To Hazrat Umar (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne un logon ko chatti ke tor par weet dal diya.
