Chapter on not letting the child's blood touch him/her during the 'Aqiqah
باب لا يمس الصبي بشيء من دمها
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 19288
(19288) Abdullah bin Buraidah narrated from Abu Buraidah that during the pre-Islamic period, when a child was born, they would apply the blood of an Aqeeqah goat to the child's head. When Allah brought Islam, we would slaughter a goat and apply saffron to the child's head.
(b) Yazid bin Abdullah Mazani narrated from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "There was 'Far' in camels and cows. They used to slaughter their firstborn in the name of idols and perform Aqeeqah from the child's side, but they would not apply its blood to the child's head."

(١٩٢٨٨) عبداللہ بن بریدہ نے ابو بریدہ سے سنا کہ جاہلیت میں جب بچہ پیدا ہوتا تو عقیقہ کی بکری کا خون بچے کے سر کو مل دیا جاتا ۔ جب اللہ نے اسلام کو تک پہنچا دیا پھر ہم بکری ذبح کرتے اور بچے کے سر پر زعفران لگا دیتے۔
(ب) یزید بن عبداللہ مزنی اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اونٹوں اور بکریوں میں ” فرع “ ہوتا تھا ان کے پہلے بچے کو بتوں کے نام پر ذبح کرتے تھے اور بچے کی جانب سے عقیقہ کیا جاتا لیکن اس کا خون بچے کے سر کو نہ ملا جاتا۔
(19288) Abdullah bin Buraidah ne Abu Buraidah se suna keh jahiliyat mein jab bachcha paida hota to aqiqah ki bakri ka khoon bachche ke sar ko mila diya jata. Jab Allah ne Islam ko tak pohancha diya phir hum bakri zibah karte aur bachche ke sar par zaffran laga dete.
(b) Yazid bin Abdullah Mazni apne walid se naql farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Oonton aur bakriyon mein "fara" hota tha un ke pehle bachche ko buton ke naam par zibah karte the aur bachche ki jaanib se aqiqah kiya jata lekin is ka khoon bachche ke sar ko na mila jata.
(19289) Regarding the Hadith of Aqeeqah narrated by Aisha (RA), she states that during the era of ignorance, people used to soak cotton in the blood of the sacrificed animal and apply it to the head of the child. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered to apply saffron instead of blood.
Faqeeh (RA) states: In the Hadith of Salman bin Amir, it is mentioned that impurity should be removed from the child's head. This implies that the child's head should be shaved and applying blood to the head is forbidden.

(١٩٢٨٩) عمرہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے عقیقہ کی حدیث میں بیان فرماتی ہیں کہ زمانہء جاہلیت میں لوگ عقیقہ کے جانور کا خون میں روئی تر کر کے بچے کے سر پر خون لگا دیتے۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے خون کی جگہ خلوق لگانے کا حکم دے دیا۔
فقیہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں : سلمان بن عامر کی حدیث میں ہے کہ بچے کے سر سے پلیدی دور کی جائے۔ اس سے مراد یہ ہے کہ سر مونڈ کر بچے کو سر پر خون لگنے سے منع فرما دیا۔
(19289) Umrah Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) se aqiqah ki hadees mein bayan farmati hain keh zamanay jahiliyat mein log aqiqah ke janwar ka khoon mein roi tar kar ke bachay ke sar par khoon laga dete. Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne khoon ki jaga khulooq lagane ka hukum de diya. Fiqh (Raz) farmate hain: Salman bin Amir ki hadees mein hai keh bachay ke sar se paledi door ki jaye. Iss se murad yeh hai keh sar mund kar bachay ko sar par khoon lagane se mana farma diya.
Samurah ibn Jundub narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Every child is pledged for his 'Aqeeqah, so on the seventh day his head should be shaved and blood should be put on it." In the narration of Huthay, it is added that Qatadah was asked about putting blood, and he said, "The 'Aqeeqah animal should be slaughtered, and blood from its veins should be taken and put on the top of the child's head so that the blood flows like a line. Then the head should be washed and shaved."

(١٩٢٩٠) حضرت سمرہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ہر بچہ عقیقہ کے عوض گروی رکھا جاتا ہے تو ساتویں دن اس کا سر مونڈ کر خون لگا دیا جائے۔ حوضی کی روایت میں زیادتی ہے کہ قتادہ سے خون لگانے کے بارے میں پوچھا گیا تو فرمایا کہ عقیقہ کے جانور کو ذبح کر کے اس کی رگوں سے خون لے کر بچے کے سر کی چوٹی پر خون لگائیں کہ دھاگے کی لکیر کی مانند خون بہہ جائے۔ پھر سر دھو کر مونڈ دیا جائے۔
Hazrat Samra Nabi (SAW) se naql farmate hain keh har bachcha aqiqah ke awaz giro rakha jata hai to satwein din uska sar mund kar khoon laga diya jaye. Hozi ki riwayat mein ziyadati hai keh Qatada se khoon lagane ke bare mein poocha gaya to farmaya keh aqiqah ke janwar ko zibah kar ke uski ragon se khoon lekar bachche ke sar ki choti par khoon lagayen keh dhage ki lakeer ki manind khoon beh jaye. Phir sar dho kar mund diya jaye.
