Chapter: Men, Especially Those More Knowledgeable and Closer in Relation to the Deceased, Lower Him into His Grave
باب الميت يدخله قبره الرجال ومن يكون منهم أفقه وأقرب بالميت رحما
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7041
Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was given a bath by Ali, Fazl and Usamah ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with them). And they lowered him into the grave. Thawri said: It was reported to me by Marhab or Ibn Abi Najih on the authority of [his father] that Abdur Rahman bin Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) was also with them when they lowered him into the grave. When they finished burying him, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A man is closest to his family."

(٧٠٤١) حضرت عامر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو حضرت علی ‘ حضرت فضل اور اسامہ بن زید (رض) نے غسل دیا اور انھوں نے ہی آپ کو قبر میں داخل کیا ساوی کہتا ہے : مجھے مرحب یا ابن ابی نیحدیث بیان کی کہ ان کے ساتھ آپ کو قبر میں اتارتے وقت حضرت عبد الرحمن بن عوف بھی تھے، جب آپ کو دفن کر کے فارغ ہوئے تو حضرت علی (رض) فرمانے لگے : آدمی کے قریب اس کا اہل ہوتا ہے۔
(7041) Hazrat Amir (RA) farmate hain ke Rasool Allah (SAW) ko Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Fazal aur Usama bin Zaid (RA) ne ghusl diya aur unhon ne hi aap ko qabar mein dakhil kya. Saavi kehta hai: Mujhe Marhab ya Ibn Abi Nihadays bayan ki ke un ke saath aap ko qabar mein utarte waqt Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf bhi thay. Jab aap ko dafan kar ke farigh huye to Hazrat Ali (RA) farmane lage: Aadmi ke qareeb us ka ahl hota hai.
Abu Marhab reported: Abdur Rahman ibn Awf (may Allah be pleased with him) entered the blessed grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It is as if I am looking at those four men.

(٧٠٤٢) حضرت ابی مرحب فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبد الرحمن بن عوف (رض) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی قبر مبارک میں اترے گویا کہ میں ان چار آدمیوں کو دیکھ رہا ہوں۔
(7042) Hazrat Abi Marhab farmate hain ke Hazrat Abdul Rahman bin Auf (RA) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki qabar mubarak mein utre goya ke mein in chaar aadmiyon ko dekh raha hun.
Ali bin Abi Talib (R.A.) stated: “I bathed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I wished to see in him what is seen in a dead person, but I did not see anything. I saw him pure in life and death. And four people participated in his burial: Myself, Abbas, Fadl, and Saleh the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). And a grave was dug for the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and unbaked bricks were laid over it."

(٧٠٤٣) حضرت علی بن ابی طالب (رض) فرماتے ہیں : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو غسل دیا، میں نے آپ کی طرف وہ چیز دیکھنا چاہی جو میت میں دیکھی جاتی ہے۔ تو مجھے کوئی چیز نظر نہ آئی۔ میں نے آپ کو زندہ اور فوت ہوتے ہوئے پاک حالت میں دیکھا اور آپ کی تدفین چار آدمیوں کے سپرد ہوئی : حضرت علی، عباس، فضل اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے غلام صالح اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے لیے لحد بنائی گئی اور اس پر کچی اینٹیں نصب کی گئیں۔
7043 Hazrat Ali bin Abi Talib (RA) farmate hain : maine Rasul Allah (SAW) ko ghusl diya, maine aap ki taraf woh cheez dekhna chahi jo mait mein dekhi jati hai. To mujhe koi cheez nazar na aayi. Maine aap ko zinda aur fot hote hue pak halat mein dekha aur aap ki tadfeen chaar admiyon ke supurd hui : Hazrat Ali, Abbas, Fazal aur Rasul Allah (SAW) ke ghulam Saleh aur Rasul Allah (SAW) ke liye lahad banayi gayi aur is par kachi eenten nasb ki gayin.
Abdullah bin Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that those who descended into the grave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) were Ali bin Abi Talib, Fadl bin Abbas, Qatham bin Abbas and the slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) Shaqran. Aws bin Khuli said to Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه), "I ask you by Allah and by your relationship with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)." He said, "Go down." So he went down with the people, so their number was five. The narrator said: Shaqran was the nickname of Salih, the slave of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ).

(٧٠٤٤) حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ جو لوگ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی قبر میں اترے تھے، ان میں علی بن ابی طالب ‘ فضل بن عباس ‘ قثم بن عباس اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے غلام شقران تھے۔ اوس بن خولی نے حضرت علی (رض) سے کو کہا کہ میں تجھے اللہ کا واسطہ اور رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی قرابت داری کے لحاظ سے سوال کرتا ہوں، انھوں نے فرمایا : اترو تو وہ بھی لوگوں کے ساتھ اترے تو ان کی تعداد پانچ تھی۔ شیخ نے فرمایا : شقران رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے غلام صالح کا لقب ہے۔
7044 Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) farmate hain keh jo log Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki qabar mein utre the, un mein Ali bin Abi Talib, Fazal bin Abbas, Qasam bin Abbas aur Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke ghulam Shakran the. Aus bin Khuli ne Hazrat Ali (RA) se ko kaha keh main tujhe Allah ka wasta aur Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki qarabatdari ke lehaz se sawal karta hun, unhon ne farmaya: utro to woh bhi logon ke sath utre to un ki tadaad panch thi. Sheikh ne farmaya: Shakran Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke ghulam Saleh ka laqab hai.
Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the people saw a fire in the graveyard so they came to it and saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was in the grave and was saying: Catch my companion for me, for he used to raise his voice in dhikr.

(٧٠٤٥) جابربن عبداللہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ لوگوں نے قبرستان میں آگ کو دیکھا تو وہ وہاں آئے تو دیکھا کہ قبر میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہیں اور فرما رہے تھے : مجھے اپنے ساتھی کو پکڑاؤ جب کہ وہ وہ شخص تھا جو ذکر کے وقت اپنی آواز بلند کرتا تھا۔
(7045) Jabir bin Abdullah (RA) se riwayat hai ki logon ne qabristan mein aag ko dekha to wo wahan aaye to dekha ki qabar mein Rasul Allah (SAW) hain aur farma rahe the : mujhe apne saathi ko pakrao jab ki wo wo shakhs tha jo zikr ke waqt apni aawaz buland karta tha.
Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: We were with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the death of his daughter. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was sitting by her grave, and his eyes were shedding tears. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Is there anyone among you who did not sleep with his family last night?" Abu Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I, O Messenger of Allah!" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Then descend into her grave." So he descended into her grave and Yunus recited the words (Hal minkum min rajulin).

(٧٠٤٦) انس (رض) فرماتے ہیں : ہم رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی بیٹی کی وفات آپ کے پاس حاضر ہوئے اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ان کی قبر پر بیٹھے تھے ، آپ کی آنکھیں آنسو بہا رہی تھیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کیا تم میں سے کوئی ہے جو آج رات اپنی اہل کے پاس نہ گیا ہو ؟ تو ابو طلحہ (رض) نے کہا : میں اے اللہ کے رسول ! آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تو اس کی قبر میں اتر تو وہ قبر میں اترے اور یونس نے (ہَلْ مِنْکُمْ مِنْ رَجُلٍ ) کے الفاظ نقل کیے ہیں۔
(7046) Anas (RA) farmate hain : hum Rasool Allah (SAW) ki beti ki wafaat aap ke paas hazir hue aur aap (SAW) un ki qabar par baithe the, aap ki aankhein aansoo baha rahi thin. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya : kya tum mein se koi hai jo aaj raat apni ahl ke paas na gaya ho? To Abu Talha (RA) ne kaha : mein aye Allah ke Rasool! Aap (SAW) ne farmaya : to is ki qabar mein utar to woh qabar mein utre aur Younus ne (hal minkum min rajul) ke alfaz naqal kiye.
(7048) Narrated `Abdul Rahman bin Abza: That `Umar bin Al-Khattab (May Allah be pleased with him) pronounced four Takbirs over (the dead body) of Zainab bint Jahsh (May Allah be pleased with her). Then he sent a message to the Mothers of the Believers (wives of the Prophet ) saying, "Who amongst you will get down into her grave?" They replied, "The one who used to get in to see her during her life." Yahya bin `Ubaid narrated it from Isma`il with the addition of these words: "Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) wished to get her down into the grave himself. So, when they gave that reply, `Umar (May Allah be pleased with him) said: "They have spoken the truth.''

(٧٠٤٨) عبد الرحمن بن ابزی فرماتے ہیں کہ عمر بن خطاب (رض) نے زینب بنت جحش (رض) پر چار تکبیرات کہیں، پھر ازواج النبی کی طرف پیغام بھیجا کہ اسے قبر میں کون اتارے تو انھوں نے کہا : جو ان کی زندگی میں ان کے پاس آتا تھا۔
یعلیٰ بن عبید اسماعیل سے نقل فرماتے ہیں اور اس میں یہ بات زیادہ ہے کہ عمر (رض) پسند کرتے تھے کہ وہ انھیں قبر میں داخل کریں، سو جب انھوں نے کہا جو کہا : تو عمر (رض) نے کہا انھوں نے سچ کہا ۔
(7048) Abdur Rahman bin Abzi farmate hain ki Umar bin Khattab (RA) ne Zainab bint Jahsh (RA) par chaar takbeerat kahin, phir azwaj un Nabi ki taraf paigham bheja ki use qabar mein kaun utaare to unhon ne kaha: jo un ki zindagi mein un ke pass aata tha.
Ya'la bin Ubaid Ismaeel se naql farmate hain aur is mein ye baat ziada hai ki Umar (RA) pasand karte the ki woh unhen qabar mein dakhil karen, so jab unhon ne kaha jo kaha: to Umar (RA) ne kaha unhon ne sach kaha.
