Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that a man was with the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on his ride in Arafah. His ride threw him off, and he died. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Wash him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in two cloths, and do not perfume him, nor cover his head. Indeed, Allah will raise him reciting Talbiyah. This proves that whoever is not in the state of Ihram should be perfumed and his head should be covered, because the prohibition is only due to the state of Ihram.

(٦٦٩٨) عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ ایک آدمی عرفات میں پیارے پیغمبر (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ اپنی سواری پر تھا۔ اس کی سواری نے اسے گرا دیا تو وہ فوت ہوگیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اسے پانی اور بیری سے غسل دو اور دو کپڑوں میں کفن دو اور اسے خوشبو نہ لگاؤ اور نہ ہی اس کے سر کو ڈھانپو۔ بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ اسے تلبیہ کہتے ہوئے اٹھائیں گے ۔ اس سے یہ ثابت ہوا کہ جو محرم نہ ہو اسے خوشبو لگائی جائے گی اور سر بھی ڈھانپا جائے گا کیونکہ اس سے منع احرام کی وجہ سے کیا ہے۔
6698 Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) se riwayat hai ki aik aadmi Arafat mein pyaare paighambar (SAW) ke saath apni sawari par tha. Uski sawari ne use gira diya to woh foot hogaya. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Use pani aur berry se ghusl do aur do kapdon mein kafan do aur use khushbu na lagao aur na hi uske sar ko dhanpo. Beshak Allah Ta'ala use talbiyah kehte hue uthayenge. Iss se yeh sabit hua ki jo muhrim na ho use khushbu lagai jayegi aur sar bhi dhanpa jayega kyunki iss se mana ihram ki wajah se kiya hai.
Abu ibn Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When Adam fell ill with the illness that would lead to his death, he said to his sons, "O my sons, I am ill and I desire what a sick person desires, and I desire the fruit of Paradise. Go and seek it for me." They went out and began to run about the earth. They met the angels, who said, "O sons of Adam, what do you seek?" They said, "We seek the fruit of Paradise for our father." The angels said, "Go back, for you have been commanded to take the soul of your father and admit him to Paradise." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: So the angels took the soul of Adam while they were looking on. They enshrouded him, perfumed him while they were looking on, and they prayed the funeral prayer for him while they were looking on. Then they said, "O sons of Adam, this is the Sunnah (way) for you regarding your dead."
Yunus ibn Ubayd added these words: Then they dug a grave and buried him in it.

(٦٦٩٩) حضرت ابی بن کعب (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب آدم بیمار ہوئے جس بیماری میں وہ فوت ہوئے تو انھوں نے اپنے بیٹوں سے کہا : اے میرے بیٹو ! میں بیمار ہوں اور میں بھی وہی کچھ چاہتا ہوں جو مریض چاہتا ہے اور میں جنت کا پھل چاہتا ہوں۔ وہ میرے لیے تلاش کرو۔ وہ نکلے اور زمین میں ادھر ادھر بھاگنے لگے۔ انھیں اچانک فرشتے ملے اور کہنے لگے : اے آدم کے بیٹو ! تم کیا ارادہ کرتے ہو ؟ وہ کہنے لگے : ہم اپنے بابا جان کیلئے جنت کا پھل ڈھونڈ رہے ہیں۔ فرشتوں نے کہا : واپس پلٹ جاؤ کیونکہ تمہارے باپ کی روح قبض کرنے اور جنت کی طرف لے جانے کا حکم ملا ہے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تو فرشتوں نے آدم کی روح قبض کرلی اور وہ سب دیکھ رہے تھے ۔ انھوں نے اسے کفن دیا ۔ خوشبو لگائی اور وہ دیکھ رہے تھے اور انھوں نے آدم کی نماز جنازہ پڑھی اور وہ دیکھ رہے تھے ۔ پھر انھوں نے کہا : اے آدم کے بیٹو ! تمہارے لیے تمہارے مردوں میں یہی سنت و طریقہ ہے ۔
یونس بن عبید نے ان الفاظ کا اضافہ کیا ہے کہ پھر انھوں نے گڑھا کھودا اور اسے اس میں دفن کردیا۔
(6699) Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (RA) kehte hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : Jab Adam bimar hue jis bimari mein woh foot hue to unhon ne apne beton se kaha : Aye mere beto ! Main bimar hun aur main bhi wohi kuch chahta hun jo mariz chahta hai aur main jannat ka phal chahta hun. Woh mere liye talash karo. Woh nikle aur zameen mein idhar udhar bhagne lage. Unhen achanak farishte mile aur kehne lage : Aye Adam ke beto ! Tum kya irada karte ho ? Woh kehne lage : Hum apne baba jan ke liye jannat ka phal dhund rahe hain. Farishton ne kaha : Wapas palat jao kyunki tumhare baap ki rooh qabz karne aur jannat ki taraf le jane ka hukum mila hai. Aap (SAW) ne farmaya : To farishton ne Adam ki rooh qabz karli aur woh sab dekh rahe the . Unhon ne use kafan diya . Khushbu lagai aur woh dekh rahe the aur unhon ne Adam ki namaz janaza parhi aur woh dekh rahe the . Phir unhon ne kaha : Aye Adam ke beto ! Tumhare liye tumhare murdon mein yahi sunnat o tariqa hai .
Younus bin Ubaid ne in alfaz ka izafa kiya hai ki phir unhon ne garha khoda aur use us mein dafan kardiya.
Abu bin Ka'ab (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the time of the death of Adam (peace be upon him) approached... then (he) narrated the whole Hadith.

(٦٧٠٠) حضرت ابی بن کعب حدیث بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب آدم (علیہ السلام) کی موت کا وقت آیا۔۔۔ آگے پوری حدیث بیان کی۔
(6700) Hazrat Abi bin Kab Hadis bayan karte hain ke jab Adam (Alaih Salam) ki maut ka waqt aya... Aage puri Hadis bayan ki.
Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her), the mother of Anas bin Malik, narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “When a woman dies and they intend to wash her…” (A lengthy Hadith was narrated) and he said: “Then make a pad of cotton for her, as much as you can. Then perfume the cotton. Then take a clean, long waist wrapper and tie it around her waist like a waist band. Then tie a knot between her thighs and press her thighs together. Then put one end of the waist wrapper from her waist to her knees. This is meant by ‘Siflah.’ Then perfume her and shroud her.”

(٦٧٠١) ام سلیم (رض) انس بن مالک کی والدہ بیان کرتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب عورت فوت ہوگئی اور اسے غسل دینے کا ارادہ کیا۔۔۔ (لمبی حدیث بیان کی) اور کہا : پھر اس کے نیچے روئی کا حاشیہ بنا ، جس قدر تو بنا سکتی ہے۔ پھر اس روئی کو خوشبو میں بھگو دے ۔ پھر صاف لمبا تہہ بند لو اور اس کی کمر کے ساتھ باندھ دو جیسے کمر بند کر باندھا جاتا ہے۔ پھر اس کی رانوں کے درمیان اس سے گرہ لگاؤ اور اس کے کو لہوں کو دباؤ۔ پھر اس کے تہہ بند کی ایک طرف اس کی کمر سے گھٹنوں تک ڈال دو ۔ یہ ہے ” سفلۃ “ سے مراد۔ پھر اسے خوشبو لگاؤ اور کفن پہناؤ۔
(6701) Umm Sulaim (Razi Allahu Anha) Anas bin Malik ki walida bayan karti hain ke Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jab aurat foot hogayi aur use ghusl dene ka irada kiya… (lambi hadees bayan ki) aur kaha: Phir uske niche ruyi ka hashiya bana, jis qadar tu bana sakti hai. Phir us ruyi ko khushbu mein bhiggo de. Phir saaf lamba tahband lo aur uski kamar ke saath bandh do jaise kamarband kar bandha jata hai. Phir uski raanon ke darmiyan us se girah lagao aur uske kulhon ko dabao. Phir uske tahband ki ek taraf uski kamar se ghutnon tak daal do. Ye hai “suflata” se muraad. Phir use khushbu lagao aur kafan pehnao.
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When you wash the deceased, wash them an odd number of times. When you braid their hair, braid it in an odd number, and tie three knots in the shroud of the deceased."

(٦٧٠٢) حضرت جابر (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جب میت کو استنجاء کرواؤ تو طاق عدد میں کراؤ ۔ جب میڈھیاں بناؤ تو طاق اور میت کے کفن کو تین گرہیں لگاؤ۔
(6702) Hazrat Jabir (RA) kehte hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : Jab mayyat ko istinja karwao to taaq adad mein karwao . Jab medhian banao to taaq aur mayyat ke kafan ko teen girihen lagao.
Asma', daughter of Abu Bakr, said to her family, "Wrap me in three pieces of cloth, and when I die, perfume my body but do not put perfume on my shroud, nor carry any fire with my funeral procession."

(٦٧٠٤) اسماء بنت ابی بکر نے اپنے گھر والوں سے کہا : میرے کپڑے کی تین تہیں لگانا اور جب میں فوت ہو جاؤں تو مجھے خوشبو لگانا اور میرے کفن پر خوشبو نہ رہنے دینا اور نہ ہی میرے جنازے کے ساتھ آگ لے کر جانا۔
6704 Asma bint Abi Bakr ne apne ghar walon se kaha : mere kapre ki teen tehen lagana aur jab main faut ho jaon to mujhe khushbu lagana aur mere kafan par khushbu na rehne dena aur na hi mere janaze ke sath aag le kar jana.
Hammam from Yahya said: Zaidah informed me that 'Alqamah narrated from Ibn Mas'ud that he said that camphor should be put on the place of prostration (in prayer).

(٦٧٠٥) ہمام بن یحییٰ کہتے ہیں : مجھے زائدہ نے خبر دی کہ علقمہ ابن مسعود سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ کہتے ہیں کہ کافور کو سجدہ کی جگہ رکھا جائے۔
6705 hamam bin yahya kahte hain mujhe zaida ne khabar di ke alqama ibn masud se bayan karte hain ke wo kahte hain ke kafoor ko sijda ki jaga rakha jaye
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) mentioned an Israelite woman who had filled her ring with musk, and musk is the best of all fragrances.

(٦٧٠٦) ابو سعید خدری (رض) کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک اسرائیلی عورت کا تذکرہ کیا کہ اس نے اپنی انگوٹھی کو کستوری سے بھرا ہوا تھا اور کستوری تمام خوشبوؤں میں سے بہتر خوشبو ہے۔
6706 Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) kehte hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne ek Israeli aurat ka tazkara kiya ki usne apni ungothi ko kasturi se bhara hua tha aur kasturi tamam khushbuo mein se behtar khushbu hai.
Abu Wa'il reported: 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) had some musk. He bequeathed that it be used as fragrance for him. 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that it was from among the excellent perfumes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

(٦٧٠٧) ابو وائل کہتے ہیں : علی (رض) کے پاس کستوری تھی۔ انھوں نے وصیت کی کہ اس کی خوشبو لگائی جائے اور علی (رض) نے کہا کہ وہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی عمدہ خوشبو میں سے ہے۔
(6707) Abu Wail kehte hain : Ali (RA) ke pas kasturi thi. Unhon ne wasiyat ki keh us ki khushbu lagai jaye aur Ali (RA) ne kaha keh woh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki umdah khushbu mein se hai.
Nafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Sa'id bin Zaid passed away and he was a Badri Companion (present at the Battle of Badr). Umm Sa'id said to Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), "Will you apply some musk?" He said, "And what fragrance is better than musk? Bring your musk." She gave it to him. The narrator said: It was not applied the way you apply it today, but we used to apply fragrance to the armpits, the hair parting, and so on.

(٦٧٠٨) حضرت نافع (رض) کہتے ہیں : سعید بن زید فوت ہوگئے اور وہ بدری صحابی تھے۔ ام سعید نے عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) سے کہا : کیا تم کستوری کی خوشبو لگاؤ گے ؟ تو انھوں نے کہا : اور کونسی خوشبو کستوری سے بہتر ہے۔ تم اپنی کستوری لاؤ تو انھوں نے وہ پکڑا دی تو راوی نے کہا : آج جیسے تم کرتے ہو ایسے نہیں کیا جاتا تھا بلکہ ہم خوشبو بغلوں اور مانگ وغیرہ میں لگاتے تھے۔
6708 Hazrat Nafe (Raz) kehte hain : Saeed bin Zaid فوت ہو گئے aur wo Badri sahabi the. Umm Saeed ne Abdullah bin Umar (Raz) se kaha : kya tum kasturi ki khushboo lagao ge ? To unhon ne kaha : aur konsi khushboo kasturi se behtar hai. Tum apni kasturi lao to unhon ne wo pakra di to rawi ne kaha : aaj jaise tum karte ho aise nahin kiya jata tha balke hum khushboo baglon aur mang waghaira mein lagate the.
Hamid (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that when Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away, he was shrouded with musk, and the sweat of the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was mixed in it.

(٦٧٠٩) حمید (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ جب انس بن مالک (رض) فوت ہوئے تو انھیں خوشبو کستوری کی لگائی گئی اور اس میں پیارے پیغمبر (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا پسینہ ملایا گیا۔
