Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1701
(1701) Sayyidina Umar bin Abdul Aziz was sitting on the pulpit. He had delayed Asr (afternoon prayer) somewhat. Urwah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "Gabriel (peace be upon him) informed Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the times of prayer." Sayyidina Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Think about what you are saying." Urwah said, "I heard from Bashir bin Abi Masud Ansari, who narrated from his father, that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say, 'Gabriel came and informed me about the times of prayer. I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him, then I prayed with him.' He counted the five prayers on his fingers. "And I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) praying Zuhr (noon prayer) when the sun had passed its zenith and sometimes he would delay it to a time when the heat was intense. And I saw him praying Asr while the sun was still high and bright white, before it began to turn yellow. A man would return from prayer and still be able to reach Dhu al-Halifa before sunset, when its edge became dark. And sometimes he would delay it until the people had gathered. And he would pray Fajr (dawn prayer) in darkness, then once he prayed it in the light, then after that his prayer was in darkness until he passed away and did not return to make it light again."

(١٧٠١) سیدنا عمر بن عبد العزیز منبر پر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے، انھوں نے عصر کو کچھ مؤخر کردیا، ان سے عروہ بن زبیر (رض) نے کہا : جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) نے محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو نماز کے وقت کی خبر دی ہے، ان سے سیدنا عمر (رض) نے کہا : غور کر تو کیا کہہ رہا ہے ؟ عروہ نے کہا : میں نے بشیر بن أبی مسعود انصاری سے سنا، وہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا کہ جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) آئے اور انھوں نے مجھے نماز کے وقت کی خبر دی، میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی، پھر میں نے ان کے ساتھ نماز پڑھی۔ اپنی انگلیوں پر پانچ نمازیں شمار کرتے تھے اور میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ظہر کی نماز تب پڑھتے تھے جب سورج اڈھل جاتا اور بعض اوقات اس کو مؤخر کردیتے جس وقت گرمی سخت ہوجاتی اور میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دیکھا، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عصر کی نماز پڑھتے تھے اور سورج زردی کے داخل ہونے سے پہلے بلند سفید تھا ‘ آدمی نماز سے پلٹتا تو سورج غروب ہونے سے پہلے ذوالحلیفہ پہنچ سکتا تھا جس وقت کنارہ سیاہ ہوجاتا ہے اور بعض اوقات آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو مؤخر کیا، یہاں تک کہ لوگ جمع ہوجائے اور صبح کی نماز اندھیرے میں پڑھتے، پھر ایک مرتبہ نماز روشنی میں پڑھی، پھر اس کے بعد آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی نماز اندھیرے میں ہوتی تھی، یہاں تک کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فوت ہوگئے، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) دوبارہ نہیں لوٹے کہ اس کو روشن کرتے۔
1701 Syedna Umar bin Abdul Aziz mimber par baithe huye thay, unhon ne Asr ko kuchh moakhir kardiya, un se Urwah bin Zubair (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: Jibraeel (Alaihi Salam) ne Muhammad ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko namaz ke waqt ki khabar di hai, un se Syedna Umar (Razi Allahu Anhu) ne kaha: ghor kar to kya keh raha hai? Urwah ne kaha: maine Bashir bin Abi Masood Ansari se suna, woh apne walid se naqal farmate hain ki maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko farmate huye suna ki Jibraeel (Alaihi Salam) aaye aur unhon ne mujhe namaz ke waqt ki khabar di, maine un ke sath namaz parhi, phir maine un ke sath namaz parhi, phir maine un ke sath namaz parhi, phir maine un ke sath namaz parhi, phir maine un ke sath namaz parhi. Apni ungliyon par panch namazain shumar karte thay aur maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Zuhr ki namaz tab parhte thay jab Suraj dhal jata aur baaz auqat us ko moakhir karte jis waqt garmi sakht hojati aur maine Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko dekha, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Asr ki namaz parhte thay aur Suraj zurdi ke dakhil hone se pehle buland safaid tha ' aadmi namaz se palatta to Suraj ghurub hone se pehle Zal Halifa pohanch sakta tha jis waqt kinara siyah hojata hai aur baaz auqat Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne us ko moakhir kiya, yahan tak ki log jama hojaye aur subah ki namaz andhere mein parhte, phir ek martaba namaz roshni mein parhi, phir us ke baad Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki namaz andhere mein hoti thi, yahan tak ki Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) faut hogaye, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dobara nahin laute ki us ko roshan karte.
١٧٠١ - أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أُسَامَةُ،أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ كَانَ قَاعِدًا عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَأَخَّرَ الْعَصْرَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَ لَهُ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ:أَمَا إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ ⦗٥٣٥⦘ أَخْبَرَ مُحَمَّدًا صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ عُمَرُ: أَعْلَمُ مَا تَقُولُ فَقَالَ عُرْوَةُ: سَمِعْتَ بَشِيرَ بْنَ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:" نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَأَخْبَرَنِي بِوَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ ثُمَّ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ يَحْسِبُ بِأَصَابِعِهِ خَمْسَ صَلَوَاتٍ "وَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الظُّهْرَ حِينَ تَزُولُ الشَّمْسُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا حِينَ يَشْتَدُّ الْحَرُّ وَرَأَيْتُهُ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ بَيْضَاءُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَدْخُلَهَا الصُّفْرَةُ فَيَنْصَرِفُ الرَّجُلُ مِنَ الصَّلَاةِ فَيَأْتِي ذَا الْحُلَيْفَةِ قَبْلَ غُرُوبِ الشَّمْسِ وَيُصَلِّي الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ تَسْقُطُ الشَّمْسُ وَيُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ يَسْوَدُّ الْأُفُقُ وَرُبَّمَا أَخَّرَهَا حَتَّى يَجْتَمِعَ النَّاسُ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ بِغَلَسٍ ثُمَّ صَلَّى مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَأَسْفَرَ بِهَا ثُمَّ كَانَتْ صَلَاتُهُ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ بِغَلَسٍ حَتَّى مَاتَ لَمْ يَعْدُ إِلَى أَنْ يُسْفِرَ " وَتَفْسِيرُ كَيْفِيَّةِ صَلَاةِ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ بِالنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَزْمٍ وَهُوَ فِي رِوَايَةِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ وَغَيْرِهِ
