Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1721
Amr bin Shu'aib narrated on the authority of his grandfather that a person asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) about the timings of the prayers. So the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed the Zuhr prayer when the shadow had become equal to the object's height and he prayed the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything was twice its size and he prayed the Maghrib prayer when the sun had set and he prayed the Isha' prayer when the twilight had disappeared and he prayed the Fajr prayer when the first brightness of dawn appeared. Then on the next day, he prayed the Zuhr prayer when the shadow of everything was twice its size and he prayed the Asr prayer when the shadow of everything was thrice its size and he prayed the Maghrib prayer when the sun had set and he prayed the Isha' prayer in the last third of the night and he prayed the Fajr prayer after it had become bright. Then he said, 'Gabriel (peace be upon him) led me in prayer so that he might teach me the times of prayer between these two (extreme) times.'

(١٧٢١) سیدنا عمرو بن شعیب اپنے دادا سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نمازوں کے متعلق سوال کیا آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ظہر کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت سایہ لوٹ آیا اور عصر کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت ہر چیز کا سایہ اس کی مثل ہوگیا اور مغرب کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت سورج غروب ہوگیا اور عشا کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت سرخی غائب ہوگئی اور صبح کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت پہلی فجر ظاہر ہوئی، پھر دوسرے دن ظہر کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت ہر چیز کا سایہ اس کی مثل ہوگیا اور عصر کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت ہر چیز کا سایہ اس کی دو مثل ہوگیا اور مغرب کی نماز پڑھائی جس وقت سورج غروب ہوگیا اور عشا کی نماز ایک تہائی رات میں پڑھائی اور صبح کی نماز روشنی کے بعد پڑھائی، پھر فرمایا : جبرائیل (علیہ السلام) نے میری امامت کرائی تاکہ وہ مجھے سکھائے کہ ان دونوں وقتوں کے درمیان نماز کا وقت ہے۔
(1721) syedna amr bin shuaib apne dada se naql farmate hain ki ek shakhs ne rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se namazon ke mutalliq sawal kiya aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne zohar ki namaz parhayi jis waqt saya laut aaya aur asr ki namaz parhayi jis waqt har cheez ka saya us ki misl hogaya aur maghrib ki namaz parhayi jis waqt suraj ghuroob hogaya aur isha ki namaz parhayi jis waqt surkhi ghayab hogayi aur subah ki namaz parhayi jis waqt pehli fajr zahir hui phir dusre din zohar ki namaz parhayi jis waqt har cheez ka saya us ki misl hogaya aur asr ki namaz parhayi jis waqt har cheez ka saya us ki do misl hogaya aur maghrib ki namaz parhayi jis waqt suraj ghuroob hogaya aur isha ki namaz ek tehai raat mein parhayi aur subah ki namaz roshni ke baad parhayi phir farmaya: jibraeel (alaihis salaam) ne meri imamat karaayi taake woh mujhe sikhaye ki in donon waqton ke darmiyaan namaz ka waqt hai.
١٧٢١ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، أنا أَبُو مُحَمَّدِ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْأَصْفَهَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي حَاتِمٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلِيَّ، ثنا أَبِي ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ثنا حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ،قَالَ:سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ وَقْتِ الصَّلَاةِ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ فَاءَ الْفَيْءَ، وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ صَارَ ظِلُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ، وَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ وَجَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ حِينَ غَابَ الشَّفَقُ، وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ حِينَ بَدَا أَوَّلُ الْفَجْرِ، ثُمَّ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ الْيَوْمَ الثَّانِي حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَهُ، وَصَلَّى الْعَصْرَ حِينَ كَانَ ظِلُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ مِثْلَيْهِ، وَصَلَّى الْمَغْرِبَ حِينَ وَجَبَتِ الشَّمْسُ، وَصَلَّى الْعِشَاءَ فِي ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ وَصَلَّى الصُّبْحَ بَعْدَ مَا أَسْفَرَ،ثُمَّ قَالَ:" إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَمَّنِي لَيُعَلِّمَكُمْ أَنَّ مَا بَيْنَ هَذَيْنِ الْوَقْتَيْنِ وَقْتٌ "
