Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5159
(5159) (a) 'Ubaydullah b. 'Abdullah b. 'Utba reported on the authority of his father that he came to 'Umar b. Khattab (Allah be pleased with him) at noon. I found him offering voluntary prayer. I stood behind him and he caught hold of me and made me stand by his right side. When he finished (the prayer) I sought his permission to step behind him and he allowed me. We made rows behind 'Umar (Allah be pleased with him). (b) It was reported from 'Umar and 'Ali (Allah be pleased with them both) that when they were three (in prayer) two used to stand behind (the Imam).

(٥١٥٩) (الف) عبید اللہ بن عبداللہ بن عتبہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ میں عمر بن خطاب (رض) کے پاس دوپہر کے وقت آیا۔ میں نے ان کو پایا، وہ نفل پڑھ رہے تھے، میں ان کے پیچھے ہوگیا تو انھوں نے مجھے پکڑ کر اپنی دائیں جانب کرلیا ۔ جب وہ آئے تو میں نے پیچھے ہٹنے میں ان کی موافقت کی، حضرت عمر (رض) کے پیچھے ہم نے صفیں بنالیں۔ (ب) حضرت عمر اور حضرت علی (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ جب تین ہوتے تو دو پیچھے کھڑے ہوتے۔
5159 alfa Ubaidullah bin Abdullah bin Utba apne walid se naql farmate hain ki main Umar bin Khattab (RA) ke paas dopahar ke waqt aaya mainne unko paya wo nafl parh rahe the main unke peeche hogaya to unhon ne mujhe pakar kar apni daein janib karliya jab wo aaye to mainne peeche hatne mein unki muwafqat ki Hazrat Umar (RA) ke peeche humne safin banali b Hazrat Umar aur Hazrat Ali (RA) se manqol hai ki jab teen hote to do peeche kharay hote
٥١٥٩ - وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ، أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ، ثنا ابْنُ قَعْنَبٍ، وَابْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ⦗١٣٧⦘ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ،عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ:" دَخَلْتُ عَلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يُسَبِّحُ، فَقُمْتُ وَرَاءَهُ فَقَرَّبَنِي حَتَّى جَعَلَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، فَلَمَّا جَاءَ يَرْفَأُ تَأَخَّرْتُ فَصَفَفْنَا وَرَاءَهُ ". وَرُوِّينَا عَنْ عُمَرَ،وَعَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا:إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً يَقُومُ الِاثْنَانِ وَرَاءَهُ
