Chapter on the encouragement to seek Laylat al-Qadr on the odd nights of the last seven nights of Ramadan, for if the month is counted from its end, its odd nights are the odd.

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 8533
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Search for it (Lailatul Qadr) in the last ten nights of Ramadan, when nine are left, or seven are left, or five are left." And Khalid narrated on the authority of 'Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: "Search for it in the twenties."

(٨٥٣٣) عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : تم اسے تلاش کرو رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں لیلۃ القدر ہوتی ہے۔ جب نو باقی ہوں یا سات باقی ہوں یا پانچ باقی ہوں۔ اور خالد نے عکرمہ کے حوالے سے بیان کیا ہے کہ ابن عباس (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں : اسے جو بیس میں تلاش کرو۔
(8533) Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : tum isay talaash karo Ramzan ke aakhri ashray mein Laylatul Qadr hoti hai. Jab nau baqi hon ya saat baqi hon ya panch baqi hon. Aur Khalid ne Akarma ke hawale se bayan kya hai keh Ibn Abbas (RA) bayan karte hain : isay jo bees mein talaash karo.
٨٥٣٣ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، ثنا وُهَيْبٌ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ،قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ فِي تَاسِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي سَابِعَةٍ تَبْقَى وَفِي خَامِسَةٍ تَبْقَى ". رَوَاهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ فِي الصَّحِيحِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ مُوسَى بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ الْبُخَارِيُّ تَابَعَهُ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ وَعَنْ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ الْتَمِسُوهَا فِي أَرْبَعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ
