Sahih al-Bukhari 7202
Abdullah bin Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that whenever we gave the Pledge of allegiance to Allah's Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) to listen to and obey, he used to say to us, for as much as you can.’
سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے، انہوں نے کہا: جب ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ سے سمع و اطاعت کی بیعت کرتے تو آپ ہم سے فرماتے: ”جتنی تمہیں طاقت ہو۔“ یعنی اپنی ہمت کے مطابق اسے بجا لائیں گے۔
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (Radi Allahu Anhu) se riwayat hai, unhon ne kaha: jab hum Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se sam'a o itaat ki bai karte to aap hum se farmate: "jitni tumhein taqat ho." Yaani apni himmat ke mutabiq usay baja layein ge.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : كُنَّا إِذَا بَايَعْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى السَّمْعِ وَالطَّاعَةِ ، يَقُولُ لَنَا : فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ .
