Sunan al-Darimi 43

Abdul Wahid bin Ayman Makki narrated from his father that I said to Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): "Narrate to me a hadith that you have heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) so that I may narrate it." Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We were digging a trench with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the day of the Battle of the Trench. We had not eaten anything for three days, nor did we have anything. A rock-like piece got stuck in the trench. I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and submitted: 'O Messenger of Allah! This rock is stuck in the trench.' We poured water on it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stood up, while a stone was tied to his stomach. He took a pickaxe or a shovel, recited 'Bismillah' three times, and struck it. The rock-like piece turned into a loose mound. When I saw this condition of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), I submitted: 'O Prophet of Allah! Grant me leave.' So, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) granted me leave. I went to my wife and said, 'May your mother lose you! I have seen such a condition of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that I cannot bear it. Do you have anything (to eat)?' She replied, 'I have a Sa' (approximately 2.5 kg) of barley grains and a kid goat.'" Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Then we ground the barley and slaughtered the kid goat. I skinned it and put it in the pot and kneaded the flour. Then I returned to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and waited for a while, then asked for his permission again, and he granted me leave. I came (home), the dough was ready, and I told my wife to bake the bread. I put the pot on the stove, then went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and submitted: 'We have a little food. If you deem it appropriate, then come yourself and take one or two men with you.' You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked: 'How much food is there after all?' I submitted: 'A Sa' of barley and a kid goat.' You said: 'Go to your wife and tell her not to take the pot off the stove and not to take the bread out of the oven until I come.'" Then you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to all the people: "Let's go to Jabir's house." Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: "I was so ashamed, only Allah knows. I said to my wife: 'May your mother lose you! The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is coming with all his companions.' She said: 'Did the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ask you how much food there was?' I said: 'Yes, he did ask.' She said: 'Allah and His Messenger know best. You told him whatever you had.'" Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "My wife's words relieved my fear and I said: 'You are right.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) arrived and entered. He said to his companions: 'Do not overcrowd.' Then he sat down by the oven and the pot and prayed for blessings." Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We started taking bread from the oven and stew from the pot and serving it as Tharid. The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Let seven or eight people sit on (one) tray.' When they finished eating, we would open the oven and the pot, and they would appear even more full than before. We kept feeding them in this way, and whenever we looked at the oven and the pot, they appeared even more full than before, until all the Muslims had eaten their fill and a good amount of food was left over. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'People have been afflicted with hunger, so eat and feed.' So we kept eating and feeding throughout the day. The narrator said that they told me that their number was eight hundred or three hundred, I do not know which number they mentioned."

عبدالواحد بن ايمن مکی نے اپنے والد سے روایت کیا کہ میں نے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ایسی حدیث بیان کیجئے جو آپ نے ان سے سنی ہو تاکہ میں اسے روایت کر سکوں، سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ہم غزوہ خندق کے دن رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ گڈھا کھود رہے تھے، تین دن سے ہم نے کچھ نہیں کھایا تھا اور نہ ہمارے پاس کچھ تھا ہی، اس خندق میں ایک چٹان نما ٹکڑا حائل ہو گیا، میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس گیا اور عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسول! خندق میں یہ چٹان حائل ہو گئی ہے، ہم نے اس پر پانی چھڑک دیا اور نبی ﷺ کھڑے ہوئے اس حال میں کہ آپ کے پیٹ سے پتھر بندھا ہوا تھا، آپ نے کدال یا پھاوڑا اٹھایا، تین بار بسم اللہ پڑھی اور ضرب لگائی تو وہ چٹان نما ٹکڑا بھربھرے تودے میں تبدیل ہو گیا، میں نے جب رسول اللہ ﷺ کا یہ حال دیکھا تو عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے پیغمبر! مجھے چھٹی دے دیجئے، آپ ﷺ نے مجھے اجازت مرحمت فرما دی، چنانچہ میں اپنی بیوی کے پاس آیا اور میں نے کہا تمہاری ماں تمہیں گم پائے، میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ایسی حالت دیکھی ہے کہ صبر نہیں کر پا رہا ہوں، تمہارے پاس (کھانے کے لئے) کچھ ہے؟ بیوی نے جواب دیا میرے پاس ایک صاع (تقریبا ڈھائی کیلو) جو کے دانے ہیں اور ایک یہ بھیڑ کا بچہ ہے۔ سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: پھر ہم نے جو پیسی اور بھیڑ کا بچہ ذبح کیا اور میں نے اس کی کھال اتاری اور ہانڈی چڑھا دی، آٹا گوندھ دیا پھر میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس لوٹ آیا اور کچھ دیر انتظار کر کے پھر آپ سے اجازت چاہی اور آپ نے مجھے اجازت دے دی، میں (گھر) آیا آٹا تیار ہو چکا تھا، میں نے بیوی کو روٹی لگانے کے لئے کہا اور میں نے ہانڈی چولہے پر چڑھا دی، پھر نبی ﷺ کے پاس آیا اور عرض کیا کہ ہمارے پاس تھوڑا سا کھانا ہے، اگر آپ مناسب سمجھیں تو آپ خود چلیں اور دو ایک آدمی بھی اپنے ساتھ لے چلیں، آپ ﷺ نے پوچھا: ”آخر کتنا کھانا ہے؟“ عرض کیا ایک صاع جو اور ایک بھیڑ کا بچہ ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: ”اپنی بیوی کے پاس جاؤ اور کہدو کہ ہانڈی چولہے سے نہ اتارے اور تندور سے میرے آنے تک روٹی بھی نہ نکالے“، پھر آپ ﷺ نے تمام لوگوں سے کہا: ”چلو جابر کے گھر چلو“، سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں مجھے اتنی شرم آئی کہ اللہ ہی جانتا ہے، میں نے بیوی سے کہا: تمہاری ماں تمہیں گم پائے، رسول الله ﷺ اپنے تمام ساتھیوں کے ساتھ تشریف لا رہے ہیں، انہوں نے کہا: کیا نبی کریم ﷺ نے آپ سے پوچھا تھا کتنا کھانا ہے؟ میں نے کہا ہاں پوچھا تو تھا، کہنے لگیں اللہ اور اس کے رسول زیادہ علم رکھتے ہیں، تم نے تو جو کچھ اپنے پاس ہے بتا دیا تھا، سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: بیوی کے یہ کہنے سے میرا ڈر خوف رفع ہو گیا اور میں نے کہا: تم سچ کہتی ہو، رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف لائے اور داخل ہو گئے، اپنے صحابہ سے کہا: ”بھیٹر نہ لگانا“، پھر آپ تندور اور بانڈری پر بیٹھ گئے اور برکت کی دعا کی سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: ہم تندور سے روٹیاں اور ہانڈی سے سالن لینے اور اس کا ثرید بنا کر پروسنے لگے، اور نبی کریم ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”(ایک) تھالی پر سات یا آٹھ افراد بیٹھ جائیں“، جب وہ کھانا کھا لیتے تو ہم تندور اور ہانڈی کو کھول کر دیکھتے تو وہ پہلے سے بھی زیادہ بھرے ہوئے نظر آتے، ہم اسی طرح کھلاتے رہے اور جب تندور و ہانڈی کو دیکھتے تو پہلے سے زیادہ بھرے نظر آتے یہاں تک کہ سب کے سب مسلمان شکم سیر ہو گئے اور اچھا خاصا کھانا بچا رہ گیا، رسول الله ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”لوگوں کو بھوک کی مصیبت آ پڑی ہے کھاؤ اور کھلاؤ“، لہذا ہم پورے دن کھاتے اور کھلاتے رہے۔ راوی نے کہا کہ مجھے انہوں نے بتایا کہ ان کی تعداد آٹھ سو تھی یا تین سو پتا نہیں انہوں نے کون سا عدد بتایا تھا۔

Abdulwahed bin Ayman Maki ne apne walid se riwayat kya keh maine Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha: Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam se aisi hadees bayan kijiye jo aap ne un se suni ho taake main use riwayat kar sakun, Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Hum Ghazwa Khandaq ke din Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath gaddha khod rahe the, teen din se hum ne kuchh nahin khaya tha aur na humare pass kuchh tha hi, is khandaq mein ek chatan numa tukda hail ho gaya, main Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass gaya aur arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasul! khandaq mein yeh chatan hail ho gayi hai, hum ne is par pani chhidak diya aur Nabi SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam khde huye is haal mein keh aap ke pet se pathar bandha hua tha, aap ne kudal ya phawda uthaya, teen bar Bismillah padhi aur zarb lagai to woh chatan numa tukda bharbhare tode mein tabdeel ho gaya, maine jab Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ka yeh haal dekha to arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Paighambar! mujhe chhutti de dijiye, aap SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne mujhe ijazat marhamat farma di, chunanche main apni biwi ke pass aaya aur maine kaha tumhari maa tumhen gum paye, maine Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ki aisi halat dekhi hai keh sabar nahin kar paa raha hun, tumhare pass (khane ke liye) kuchh hai? biwi ne jawab diya mere pass ek saa (taqreeban dhai kilo) jo ke dane hain aur ek yeh bhi bher ka bachcha hai. Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: phir hum ne jo peesi aur bher ka bachcha zibah kiya aur maine is ki khaal utari aur handi charha di, aata gondh diya phir main Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass laut aaya aur kuchh der intezaar kar ke phir aap se ijazat chahi aur aap ne mujhe ijazat de di, main (ghar) aaya aata taiyar ho chuka tha, maine biwi ko roti lagane ke liye kaha aur maine handi chulhe par charha di, phir Nabi SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ke pass aaya aur arz kiya keh humare pass thoda sa khana hai, agar aap munasib samjhen to aap khud chalen aur do ek aadmi bhi apne sath le chalen, aap SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne puchha: "aakhir kitna khana hai?" arz kiya ek saa jo aur ek bher ka bachcha hai. aap ne farmaya: "apni biwi ke pass jao aur kahdo keh handi chulhe se na utare aur tandoor se mere aane tak roti bhi na nikale", phir aap SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne tamam logon se kaha: "chalo Jabir ke ghar chalo", Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain mujhe itni sharm aayi keh Allah hi janta hai, maine biwi se kaha: tumhari maa tumhen gum paye, Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam apne tamam sathiyon ke sath tashreef la rahe hain, unhon ne kaha: kya Nabi Kareem SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne aap se puchha tha kitna khana hai? maine kaha haan puchha to tha, kehne lagin Allah aur uske Rasul zyada ilm rakhte hain, tum ne to jo kuchh apne pass hai bata diya tha, Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: biwi ke yeh kehne se mera dar khauf rafa ho gaya aur maine kaha: tum sach kehti ho, Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam tashreef laye aur dakhil ho gaye, apne sahaba se kaha: "bhetar na lagana", phir aap tandoor aur bandri par baith gaye aur barkat ki dua ki Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: hum tandoor se rotiyan aur handi se salan lene aur is ka sreed bana kar prosne lage, aur Nabi Kareem SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "(ek) thali par saat ya aath afrad baith jayen", jab woh khana khaa lete to hum tandoor aur handi ko khol kar dekhte to woh pehle se bhi zyada bhare huye nazar aate, hum isi tarah khilate rahe aur jab tandoor o handi ko dekhte to pehle se zyada bhare nazar aate yahan tak keh sab ke sab musalman shikam ser ho gaye aur achha khasa khana bacha reh gaya, Rasul Allah SallAllahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: "logon ko bhuk ki musibat aa padi hai khao aur khilao", lihaza hum pure din khate aur khilate rahe. rawi ne kaha keh mujhe inhon ne bataya keh in ki tadad aath sau thi ya teen sau pata nahin inhon ne kaun sa adad bataya tha.

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُحَارِبِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ بْنِ أَيْمَنَ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ حَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْهُ أَرْوِيهِ عَنْكَ، فَقَالَ جَابِرٌ: كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ نَحْفُرُهُ، فَلَبِثْنَا ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ لَا نَطْعَمُ طَعَامًا، وَلَا نَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ، فَعَرَضَتْ فِي الْخَنْدَقِ كُدْيَةٌ فَجِئْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، هَذِهِ كُدْيَةٌ قَدْ عَرَضَتْ، فِي الْخَنْدَقِ فَرَشَشْنَا عَلَيْهَا الْمَاءَ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَبَطْنُهُ مَعْصُوبٌ بِحَجَرٍ، فَأَخَذَ الْمِعْوَلَ، أَوْ الْمِسْحَاةَ، ثُمَّ سَمَّى ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ فَعَادَتْ كَثِيبًا أَهْيَلَ، فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ائْذَنْ لِي، قَالَ: فَأَذِنَ لِي، فَجِئْتُ امْرَأَتِي، فَقُلْتُ: ثَكِلَتْكِ أُمُّكِ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا لَا صَبْرَ لِي عَلَيْهِ، فَهَلْ عِنْدَكِ مِنْ شَيْءٍ؟، فَقَالَتْ: عِنْدِي صَاعٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، وَعَنَاقٌ، قَالَ: فَطَحَنَّا الشَّعِيرَ، وَذَبَحْنَا الْعَنَاقَ، وَسَلَخْتُهَا، وَجَعَلْتُهَا، فِي الْبُرْمَةِ وَعَجَنْتُ الشَّعِيرَ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ قَالَ: رَجَعْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَبِثْتُ سَاعَةً، ثُمَّ اسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ الثَّانِيَةَ فَأَذِنَ لِي، فَجِئْتُ، فَإِذَا الْعَجِينُ قَدْ أَمْكَنَ، فَأَمَرْتُهَا بِالْخَبْزِ وَجَعَلْتُ الْقِدْرَ عَلَى الْأَثَاثِي، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: إِنَّمَا هِيَ الْأَثَافِيُّ وَلَكِنْ هَكَذَا، قَالَ: ثُمَّ جِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ عِنْدَنَا طُعَيِّمًا لَنَا، فَإِنْ رَأَيْتَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مَعِي أَنْتَ وَرَجُلٌ أَوْ رَجُلَانِ مَعَكَ، فَقَالَ: "وَكَمْ هُوَ؟"، قُلْتُ: صَاعٌ مِنْ شَعِيرٍ، وَعَنَاقٌ، فَقَالَ:"ارْجِعْ إِلَى أَهْلِكَ وَقُلْ لَهَا لَا تَنْزِعْ الْقِدْرَ مِنْ الْأَثَافِيِّ، وَلَا تُخْرِجْ الْخُبْزَ مِنْ التَّنُّورِ حَتَّى آتِيَ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلنَّاسِ:"قُومُوا إِلَى بَيْتِ جَابِرٍ"، قَالَ: فَاسْتَحْيَيْتُ حَيَاءً لَا يَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا اللَّهُ، فَقُلْتُ لِامْرَأَتِي: ثَكِلَتْكِ أُمُّكِ، قَدْ جَاءَكِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَصْحَابِهِ أَجْمَعِينَ، فَقَالَتْ: أَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَأَلَكَ: كَمْ الطَّعَامُ؟، فَقُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، فَقَالَتْ: اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَدْ أَخْبَرْتَهُ بِمَا كَانَ عِنْدَنَا، قَالَ: فَذَهَبَ عَنِّي بَعْضُ مَا كُنْتُ أَجِدُ، وَقُلْتُ: لَقَدْ صَدَقْتِ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَخَلَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ:"لَا تَضَاغَطُوا"،"ثُمَّ بَرَّكَ عَلَى التَّنُّورِ وَعَلَى الْبُرْمَةِ"، قَالَ: فَجَعَلْنَا نَأْخُذُ مِنْ التَّنُّورِ الْخُبْزَ، وَنَأْخُذُ اللَّحْمَ مِنْ الْبُرْمَةِ، فَنُثَرِّدُ وَنَغْرِفُ لَهُمْ، وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"لِيَجْلِسْ عَلَى الصَّحْفَةِ سَبْعَةٌ أَوْ ثَمَانِيَةٌ"، فَإِذَا أَكَلُوا كَشَفْنَا عَنْ التَّنُّورِ، وَكَشَفْنَا عَنْ الْبُرْمَةِ، فَإِذَا هُمَا أَمْلَأُ مِمَّا كَانَا، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ نَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ كُلَّمَا فَتَحْنَا التَّنُّورَ وَكَشَفْنَا عَنْ الْبُرْمَةِ، وَجَدْنَاهُمَا أَمْلَأَ مَا كَانَا حَتَّى شَبِعَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ كُلُّهُمْ، وَبَقِيَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ الطَّعَامِ، فَقَالَ لَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ أَصَابَتْهُمْ مَخْمَصَةٌ، فَكُلُوا وَأَطْعِمُوا"، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ يَوْمَنَا ذَلِكَ نَأْكُلُ وَنُطْعِمُ، قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا ثَمَانَ مِئَةٍ، أَوْ قَالَ: ثَلَاثَ مِئَةٍ، قَالَ أَيْمَنُ: لَا أَدْرِي أَيُّهُمَا قَالَ.

Narrated by Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him: Abu Talha, may Allah be pleased with him, said to his wife, Umm Sulaim, may Allah be pleased with her, "Prepare some food for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him." Anas, may Allah be pleased with him, said, "Then Abu Talha sent me to the Messenger of Allah. I came to you and said, 'Abu Talha has sent me to you.' You said to all those present, 'Let us go.' So you and all those present got up and went. Abu Talha, may Allah be pleased with him, said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Did I prepare food only for you?' You, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Don't worry, let's go.' So you went and all those people also set out. The food was brought. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, placed his blessed hand on the food and said, 'Bismillah' (in the name of Allah). Then he said, 'Now call ten men to eat.' So ten men came. You, peace and blessings be upon him, said, 'Start eating in the name of Allah.' They started eating and all ten men ate to their fill and left. You, peace and blessings be upon him, again placed your hand on the food as before and mentioned the name of Allah and made ten men sit down to eat and said, 'Start eating by saying Bismillah.' So they ate to their fill and left. In this way, eighty men ate, and then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and the people of the house ate, and there was still food left over."

سیدنا انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے سیدنا ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے (اپنی بیوی) سیدہ ام سلیم رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے لئے کھانا بناؤ، سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: پھر ابوطلحہ نے مجھے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس بھیجا، میں آپ کے پاس پہنچا اور عرض کیا کہ مجھے ابوطلحہ نے آپ کے پاس بھیجا ہے، آپ نے تمام حاضرین سے کہا: ”چلو اٹھو“، چنانچہ آپ اور وہ تمام حاضرین چل پڑے، سیدنا ابوطلحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! میں نے صرف آپ کے لئے کھانا تیار کرایا ہے؟ آپ ﷺ نے نے فرمایا: ”فکر نہ کرو چلو“، چنانچہ آپ بھی چلے اور وہ تمام لوگ بھی نکل پڑے، کھانا لایا گیا، رسول الله ﷺ نے اپنا دست مبارک کھانے پر رکھا اور بسم اللہ پڑھی (برکت کی دعا کی) پھر کہا: ”اب دس دس آدمی کھانے کے لئے بلاؤ“، اس طرح دس آدمی آئے، آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”الله کا نام لےکر کھانا شروع کرو“، کھانا شروع ہوا اور دسوں آدمی شکم سیر ہوئے اور باہر چلے گئے، آپ ﷺ نے پھر پہلے ہی کی طرح کھانے پر ہاتھ رکھا اور اللہ کا نام لیا اور دس آدمیوں کو کھانے پر بٹھایا اور کہا: ”بسم اللہ کہہ کر کھانا شروع کرو“، چنانچہ انہوں نے شکم سیر ہو کر کھانا کھایا اور باہر چلے گئے، اس طرح اسّی آدمیوں نے کھانا کھایا اور پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ اور گھر والوں نے کھانا کھایا اور کھانا بچ بھی گیا۔

Sayyidna Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai Sayyidna Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne apni biwi Sayyida Umm Sulaim ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se kaha ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye khana banao, Sayyidna Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: phir Abu Talha ne mujhe Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas bheja, main aap ke paas pahuncha aur arz kiya ke mujhe Abu Talha ne aap ke paas bheja hai, aap ne tamam hazireen se kaha: “chalo utho”, chunancha aap aur wo tamam hazireen chal pade, Sayyidna Abu Talha (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne arz kiya ya Rasul Allah! maine sirf aap ke liye khana taiyar karaya hai? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “fikr na karo chalo”, chunancha aap bhi chale aur wo tamam log bhi nikal pade, khana laya gaya, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne apna dast mubarak khane par rakha aur bismillah padhi barkat ki dua ki phir kaha: “ab das das aadmi khane ke liye bulao”, is tarah das aadmi aaye, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Allah ka naam lekar khana shuru karo”, khana shuru hua aur daso aadmi shikam se ho gaye aur bahar chale gaye, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne phir pahle hi ki tarah khane par haath rakha aur Allah ka naam liya aur das aadmiyo ko khane par bithaya aur kaha: “bismillah kah kar khana shuru karo”, chunancha unhon ne shikam se ho kar khana khaya aur bahar chale gaye, is tarah assi aadmiyo ne khana khaya aur phir Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur ghar walo ne khana khaya aur khana bach bhi gaya.

أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ هُوَ ابْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَمَرَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامًا يَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ بَعَثَنِي أَبُو طَلْحَةَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ، فَقُلْتُ: بَعَثَنِي إِلَيْكَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ، فَقَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ: "قُومُوا"، فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقَ الْقَوْمُ مَعَهُ، فَقَالَ أَبُو طَلْحَةَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّمَا صَنَعْتُ طَعَامًا لِنَفْسِكَ خَاصَّةً؟، فَقَالَ:"لَا عَلَيْكَ انْطَلِقْ"، قَالَ: فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقَ الْقَوْمُ، قَالَ: فَجِيءَ بِالطَّعَامِ،"فَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَهُ وَسَمَّى عَلَيْهِ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"ائْذَنْ لِعَشَرَةٍ"، قَالَ: فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ، فَقَالَ:"كُلُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ"، فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا، ثُمَّ قَامُوا،"ثُمَّ وَضَعَ يَدَهُ كَمَا صَنَعَ فِي الْمَرَّةِ الْأُولَى وَسَمَّى عَلَيْهِ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"ائْذَنْ لِعَشَرَةٍ"، فَأَذِنَ لَهُمْ، فَقَالَ:"كُلُوا، بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ"فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا، ثُمَّ قَامُوا حَتَّى فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ بِثَمَانِينَ رَجُلًا، قَالَ:"وَأَكَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ وَتَرَكُوا سُؤْرًا".

Sunan al-Darimi 45

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abu Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he cooked a pot of meat for the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to him: "Give me the *Dastana* (forearm meat)". And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to like *Dastana*. So, Sayyidina Abu Ubaid (may Allah be pleased with him) presented the *Dastana* to him. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for it again, so he (Sayyidina Abu Ubaid) presented it again. Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for it again, so he (Sayyidina Abu Ubaid) said: "O Messenger of Allah! How many *Dastanas* does a goat have?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you had kept quiet, you would have kept bringing me *Dastana* (forearm meat) as many times as I asked for it."

سیدنا ابوعبید رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے نبی ﷺ کے لئے ہانڈی پکائی، آپ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”مجھے دستانہ (اگلے بازو کا گوشت) دینا“ اور آپ ﷺ دستانہ پسند فرماتے تھے، لہذا سیدنا ابوعبید رضی اللہ عنہ نے آپ کے لئے دستانہ پیش کیا، پھر دوبارہ آپ نے طلب فرمایا تو دوبارہ حاضر خدمت کر دیا، پھر آپ ﷺ نے طلب فرمایا تو میں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! بکری کے کتنے دستانے ہوتے ہیں؟ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے، اگرتم چپ رہتے تو جتنی بار میں طلب کرتا تم دستانے (بازو) لاتے اور پیش کرتے رہتے۔“

Sayyidina Abu Ubaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki unhon ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke liye handi pakai, Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un se farmaya: "Mujhe dastana (agley bazu ka gosht) dena" aur Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) dastana pasand farmate thay, lihaza Sayyidina Abu Ubaid (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne Aap ke liye dastana pesh kiya, phir dobara Aap ne talab farmaya to dobara hazir khidmat kar diya, phir Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne talab farmaya to main ne arz kiya: Allah ke Rasul! Bakri ke kitne dastane hote hain? Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Qasam hai is Zaat ki jis ke hath mein meri jaan hai, agar tum chup rahte to jitni baar main talab karta tum dastane (bazu) late aur pesh karte rahte."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبَانُ هُوَ الْعَطَّارُ، حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، أَنَّهُ طَبَخَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِدْرًا، فَقَالَ لَهُ: "نَاوِلْنِي الْذِّرَاعَ"، وَكَانَ يُعْجِبُهُ الذِّرَاعُ، فَنَاوَلَهُ الذِّرَاعَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ"، فَنَاوَلَهُ ذِرَاعًا، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ"، فَقُلْتُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ، وَكَمْ لِلشَّاةِ مِنْ ذِرَاعٍ؟ فَقَالَ:"وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ أَنْ لَوْ سَكَتَّ لَأُعْطَيْتَ أَذْرُعًا مَا دَعَوْتُ بِهِ".

Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out for Jihad against the polytheists, my father said to me, "Stay with those who take care of the families in Medina, there is no harm in it, until you know where our matter reaches. By Allah, if I were not afraid for my daughters after me, I would have liked you to be martyred in front of me." So, while I was among those who were taking care of the families, my paternal aunts came to me with my father and uncle so that we could bury them both in our graveyard. A person said, "Does the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) command you to bring back the martyrs and bury them where they were martyred?" So we returned them and buried them where they were martyred. (As time passed) when the caliphate of Muawiyah bin Abi Sufyan came, a person came to me and said, "O son of Abdullah! Muawiyah's workers have removed the soil from your father, and they have appeared, and a part of them has appeared." I went to them and found them exactly as they were buried, there was no change. I buried them again in the soil. My father had left a debt of dates on me, and some of the creditors were very harsh in demanding it. So I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah! My father was martyred on such and such a day, and he left a debt of some dates, and some of the creditors are being harsh in taking back the loan, so I want you to help me so that they give me some respite until the next harvest for the dates." You (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Okay, I will come to you in the afternoon, Insha'Allah." Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "You (peace and blessings be upon him) came with your companions and sat in the shade, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted and asked permission to come in. I had told my wife that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would be coming in the afternoon, so stay behind the curtain and don't let any kind of discomfort reach the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in my house, and don't talk to him." So she laid out the bed and pillow, and you lay down and slept. I said to my slave, "Slaughter this kid of the goat that is domesticated, very healthy, fast-running, agile, and finish it before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wakes up." So we both got busy with it and finished it, and you (peace and blessings be upon him) were asleep. I said, "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) wakes up, he will ask for water. I am afraid that when he washes his hands, he will leave." So by the time you washed your face, the kid of the goat was presented before you. And when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up, he said, "Jabir, bring water." I said, "Here it is," and you had not even finished your ablution when the cooked kid of the goat was presented before you. You looked at Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) and said, "Perhaps you know that we like meat? Go and call Abu Bakr too." And you also called those of your companions who had come with you, and the food was served. You placed your blessed hand on it and said, "Start eating in the name of Allah." So they all ate their fill, and a lot of meat was left over. And by Allah, the people of Banu Salamah's assembly were watching them, it was better in their eyes. They did not come near because they were afraid of bothering you. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his companions stood up and moved away from them, and you (peace and blessings be upon him) kept saying, "Leave my back for the angels." I followed them to the threshold of the door when my wife, with her head covered, came out and said, "O Messenger of Allah! Pray for me and my husband." You prayed, "May Allah bestow His mercy and blessings upon you and your husband." Then you (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Call so-and-so," the one who had been harsh in demanding his debt from me. And you said to him, "Give Jabir some respite, take some of the debt that was on his father at the time of the next harvest." He replied, "No, I cannot do that," and gave the excuse that it was the property of orphans. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Where is Jabir?" I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I am here." You said, "(Whatever you have) weigh it out to them, Allah will fulfill it." You raised your head towards the sky, the sun was setting. You (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Abu Bakr, let's go for prayer." So everyone left for prayer. I said to my creditor, "Bring your vessel closer." And I started weighing the Ajwa dates, and Allah fulfilled it, and a lot was left over after the debt. I ran like a spark flying from fire and came to the mosque to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and saw that he had finished praying. I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I weighed the Ajwa dates for my creditor, and they were not only fulfilled, but a lot was left over." Then you (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Where is Umar bin Khattab?" So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came running. You (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him, "Inquire from Jabir about his creditor and the dates." He replied, "When I know that you have prayed for him that Allah Almighty should fulfill it, then there is no need to ask (meaning surely Allah must have paid off his debt)." You (peace and blessings be upon him) said this to him three times, and all three times he gave the same answer that I do not need to ask this. And it was your (peace and blessings be upon him) blessed habit that you would not repeat anything more than three times. Then you (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "What did your creditor do, and what did you do with the dates?" I said, "Allah Almighty fulfilled the amount of the debt, and many dates were left over." Then I returned home and said to my wife, "Didn't I forbid you from talking to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in my house?" So she (may Allah bless her) replied, "What did you think, Allah Almighty sent His Prophet to my house, and you would come back and I would not even request you to pray for me and you?"

سیدنا جابر بن عبدالله رضی اللہ عنہما نے روایت کیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ مشرکین سے جہاد کے لئے نکلے تو میرے والد نے (مجھ سے) کہا کہ تم دیگر مدینہ والوں کی طرح دیکھ بھال کرنے والوں میں رہو تو کوئی مضائقہ نہیں یہاں تک کہ تمہیں پتہ چل جائے کہ ہمارا معاملہ کہاں تک پہنچتا ہے، اللہ کی قسم اگر مجھے اپنے بعد اپنی بیٹیوں کی فکر نہ ہوتی تو میں پسند کرتا کہ تم میرے سامنے شہید کر دیئے جاؤ، اسی اثناء میں کہ میں اہل خانہ کی دیکھ بھال کرنے والوں میں سے تھا کہ میری پھوپھی میرے والد اور ماموں کو لے کر آئیں تاکہ ان دونوں کو ہمارے قبرستان میں دفن کر دیں کہ ایک شخص ندا دیتا آیا کہ نبی ﷺ تمہیں حکم دیتے ہیں کہ ”شہیدوں کو واپس لاؤ اور جہاں وہ شہید ہوئے ہیں وہیں انہیں دفن کیا جائے“، لہذا ہم نے انہیں وہیں لوٹا دیا اور جہاں وہ شہید ہوئے تھے وہیں انہیں دفن کر دیا، (وقت گزرتا گیا) جب معاویہ بن ابی سفیان کا دور خلافت آیا تو میرے پاس ایک شخص آیا اور کہا: اے عبداللہ کے بیٹے جابر! تمہارے والد پر سے معاویہ کے کارندوں نے مٹی ہٹائی اور وہ ظاہر ہو گئے اور ان میں سے ایک حصہ ظاہر ہو گیا ہے، میں اس کی طرف گیا تو انہیں بالکل ویسا ہی پایا جیسے انہیں دفن کیا تھا، کوئی تبدیلی نہیں ہوئی تھی۔ میں نے پھر انہیں مٹی میں چھپا دیا۔ اور میرے باپ نے اپنے اوپر کھجور کا قرض چھوڑا تھا اور کچھ قرض دینے والوں نے مجھ پر تقاضے میں بڑی سختی کی لہٰذا میں رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس گیا اور عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسول! میرے والد فلاں دن شہید ہو گئے اور انہوں نے کچھ کھجوروں کا قرض چھوڑا ہے اور کچھ قرض دینے والوں نے قرض واپس لینے کے لیے سختی کی ہے لہذا میں چاہتا ہوں کہ آپ میری مدد فرمائیں تاکہ وہ مجھے کچھ کھجور کے لئے آئندہ کٹائی تک کے لئے مہلت دے دیں۔ آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ٹھیک ہے میں ان شاء اللہ دوپہر تک تمہارے پاس آؤں گا۔“ سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: آپ ﷺ مع اپنے حواریین کے تشریف لائے اور سائے میں بیٹھ گئے اور رسول اللہ ﷺ نے سلام کیا اور اندر آنے کی اجازت چاہی، میں نے اپنی بیوی کو بتا دیا تھا کہ دوپہر کو رسول اللہ ﷺ تشریف لائیں گے، لہٰذا پردے میں رہنا اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کو میرے گھر میں کسی قسم کی تکلیف نہ پہنچنے دینا، اور نہ تم ان سے کوئی بات کرنا، چنانچہ اس نے بستر اور تکیہ لگا دیا، آپ سر رکھ کر سو گئے تو میں نے اپنے غلام سے کہا بکری کا یہ بچہ ذبح کر دو جو پالتو، بہت تندرست، تیز رو، پھرتیلا ہے اور رسول اللہ ﷺ کے بیدار ہونے سے پہلے اس سے فارغ ہو جاؤ، لہٰذا ہم دونوں اس میں لگ گئے اور فارغ بھی ہو گئے اور آپ ﷺ سوئے ہوئے تھے، میں نے کہا، رسول اللہ ﷺ جب بیدار ہوتے ہیں تو پانی طلب کرتے ہیں، مجھے ڈر ہے کہ جب منہ ہاتھ دھو لیں تو چلے نہ جائیں، اس لئے جب تک آپ منہ دھوئیں وہ بکری کا بچہ آپ کے سامنے پیش کر دیا جائے، اور جب رسول اللہ ﷺ بیدار ہوئے تو فرمایا: ”جابر پانی لاؤ“، کہا: حاضر ہے اور آپ وضو سے فارغ بھی نہیں ہوئے تھے کہ آپ کے سامنے وہ مسلم بکری کا بچہ پیش کر دیا گیا۔ آپ نے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ کی طرف دیکھا اور فرمایا: ”شاید تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ گوشت ہمیں پسند ہے؟ جاؤ ابوبکر کو بھی بلا لاؤ“ اور آپ کے ساتھ جو آپ کے صحابہ آئے تھے انہیں بھی بلا لیا اور کھانا منگا کر رکھا گیا، آپ نے اپنا دست مبارک اس پر رکھا اور فرمایا: ”الله کا نام لے کر کھانا شروع کرو“ چنانچہ ان سب نے خوب شکم سیر ہو کر کھانا تناول کیا اور اس میں سے بہت سارا گوشت بچ بھی گیا اور الله کی قسم بنوسلمہ کی بیٹھک کے لوگ ان کو دیکھ رہے تھے، یہ ان کی نظر میں زیادہ اچھا تھا وہ اس لئے قریب نہیں آۓ کہ مبادا آپ کو تکلیف نہ ہو۔ پھر رسول الله ﷺ اور آپ کے اصحاب کھڑے ہوئے اور ان کے پاس سے ہٹ آئے اور آپ ﷺ یہ فرماتے جاتے تھے: ”میری پشت فرشتوں کے لئے چھوڑ دو“، میں دروازے کی چوکھٹ تک ان کے پیچھے گیا کہ میری بیوی نے باپردہ سر نکالا اور کہا: اے اللہ کے رسول! میرے اور میرے شوہر کے لئے دعا فرما دیجئے، آپ نے دعا کی ”اللہ تمہارے لئے اور تمہارے شوہر کے لئے رحمت و برکت نازل فرمائے۔“ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”فلاں شخص کو بلاؤ“، وہی جس نے مجھ سے اپنا قرض مانگنے میں سختی کی تھی اور اس سے کہا: جابر کو کچھ مہلت دے دو اس کے باپ کے اوپر جو قرض تھا اس میں سے کچھ آئندہ کٹائی کے وقت لے لینا، اس نے جواب دیا نہیں یہ مجھ سے نہیں ہو سکتا، عذر یہ پیش کیا کہ یہ یتیموں کا مال ہے، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جابر کہاں ہے؟“ عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسول! میں یہاں موجود ہوں، آپ نے فرمایا: ”(جو کچھ تمہارے پاس ہے) ان کو تول کر دے دو، اللہ تعالی پورا کرائے گا،“ آپ نے آسمان کی طرف سر اٹھایا تو سورج ڈھل رہا تھا آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ابوبکر چلو نماز کے لئے“ چنانچہ سب لوگ نماز کے لئے روانہ ہو گئے، میں نے اپنے قرض خواہ سے کہا: لاؤ اپنا برتن قریب لاؤ اور میں نے عجوہ کھجور تولنی شروع کی تو اللہ نے پوری بھی کرا دی اور قرض کے بعد کافی ساری بچ بھی گئی۔ میں دوڑتا ہوا گویا کہ میں آگ سے اڑنے والا شرارہ تھا رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس مسجد آیا، دیکھا کہ آپ نماز سے فارغ ہو چکے ہیں، میں نے عرض کیا: اے اللہ کے رسول! میں نے اپنے قرض خواہ کے لئے عجوہ کھجوریں تولیں تو وہ نہ صرف پوری ہو گئیں بلکہ کافی ساری بچ بھی گئیں۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”عمر بن الخطاب کدھر ہیں؟“، چنانچہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ دوڑتے ہوئے تشریف لائے، آپ ﷺ نے ان سے فرمایا: ”جابر سے ان کے قرض خواہ اور کھجوروں کے بارے میں دریافت کرو“، انہوں نے جواب دیا جب مجھے معلوم ہے کہ آپ نے ان کے لئے دعا فرمائی کہ اللہ تعالیٰ اسے پورا فرما دے تو پھر پوچھنے کی ضرورت ہی نہیں (یعنی یقیناً اللہ نے اس سے قرض پورا ادا کروا دیا ہو گا) آپ ﷺ نے تین بار ان سے یہی کہا اور تینوں بار انہوں نے یہی جواب دیا کہ مجھے یہ پوچھنے کی ضرورت ہی نہیں، اور آپ ﷺ کی یہ عادت مبارکہ تھی کہ تین بار سے زیادہ کسی بات کو لوٹاتے نہیں تھے۔ پھر آپ ﷺ نے فرمایا ”تمہارے قرض مانگنے والے نے کیا کیا اور تمر کھجور کا کیا بنا؟“ عرض کیا: الله تعالی نے قرض کی مقدار پوری فرما دی اور بہت سی کھجوریں بچی رہ گئیں۔ پھر میں اپنے گھر واپس آیا اور بیوی سے کہا: میں نے تم سے منع نہیں کیا تھا کہ میرے گھر میں رسول اللہ ﷺ سے بات نہ کرنا؟ تو اس (نیک بخت) نے جواب دیا: آپ کا کیا خیال ہے الله تعالی میرے گھر میں اپنے نبی کو بھیجے اور آپ واپس تشریف لے جائیں اور میں اپنے اور آپ کے لئے دعا کی بھی درخواست نہ کروں؟

Sayyidna Jabir bin Abdullah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a ne riwayat kiya ke Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) mushrikeen se jihad ke liye nikle to mere walid ne (mujhse) kaha ke tum deegar Madinah walon ki tarah dekhbhal karne walon mein raho to koi muzaiqa nahi yahan tak ke tumhen pata chal jaye ke hamara mamla kahan tak pahunchta hai, Allah ki qasam agar mujhe apne baad apni betiyon ki fikr na hoti to main pasand karta ke tum mere samne shaheed kar diye jao, isi asna mein ke main ahle khana ki dekhbhal karne walon mein se tha ke meri phoophi mere walid aur mamun ko lekar aayin taake un donon ko hamare qabristan mein dafan kar dein ke ek shakhs nida deta aaya ke Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tumhen hukm dete hain ke "shaheedon ko wapas lao aur jahan wo shaheed hue hain wahin unhen dafan kiya jaye", lihaza humne unhen wahin lauta diya aur jahan wo shaheed hue the wahin unhen dafan kar diya, (waqt guzarta gaya) jab Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan ka daur khilafat aaya to mere paas ek shakhs aaya aur kaha: Aye Abdullah ke bete Jabir! Tumhare walid par se Muawiya ke karindon ne mitti hataayi aur wo zahir ho gaye aur un mein se ek hissa zahir ho gaya hai, main uss ki taraf gaya to unhen bilkul waisa hi paya jaise unhen dafan kiya tha, koi tabdeeli nahi hui thi. Maine phir unhen mitti mein chhupa diya. Aur mere baap ne apne upar khajoor ka qarz chhora tha aur kuch qarz dene walon ne mujh par taqazon mein badi sakhti ki lihaza main Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas gaya aur arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Mere walid falan din shaheed ho gaye aur unhon ne kuch khajooron ka qarz chhora hai aur kuch qarz dene walon ne qarz wapas lene ke liye sakhti ki hai lihaza main chahta hun ke aap meri madad farmaayein taake wo mujhe kuch khajoor ke liye aayinda kataayi tak ke liye mohlat de dein. Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Theek hai main Insha Allah dopahar tak tumhare paas aaonga." Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha: Aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) maa apne hawariyeen ke tashreef laaye aur saaye mein baith gaye aur Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne salam kiya aur andar aane ki ijazat chahi, maine apni biwi ko bata diya tha ke dopahar ko Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) tashreef laayenge, lihaza parde mein rehna aur Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko mere ghar mein kisi qisam ki takleef na pahunchne dena, aur na tum unse koi baat karna, chunancha usne bistar aur takiya laga diya, aap sar rakh kar so gaye to maine apne ghulam se kaha bakri ka ye bachcha zibah kar do jo paltu, bahut tandarust, tez rau, phirtila hai aur Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke bedaar hone se pehle uss se farigh ho jao, lihaza hum donon uss mein lag gaye aur farigh bhi ho gaye aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) soye hue the, maine kaha, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) jab bedaar hote hain to paani talab karte hain, mujhe dar hai ke jab munh haath dho lein to chale na jayein, is liye jab tak aap munh dhoyein wo bakri ka bachcha aap ke samne pesh kar diya jaye, aur jab Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) bedaar hue to farmaya: "Jabir paani lao", kaha: Hazir hai aur aap wuzu se farigh bhi nahi hue the ke aap ke samne wo muslim bakri ka bachcha pesh kar diya gaya. Aap ne Sayyidna Jabir (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ki taraf dekha aur farmaya: "Shayad tumhen maloom hai ke gosht hamen pasand hai? Jao Abubakar ko bhi bula lao" aur aap ke saath jo aap ke sahaba aaye the unhen bhi bula liya aur khana manga kar rakha gaya, aap ne apna dast mubarak uss par rakha aur farmaya: "Allah ka naam lekar khana shuru karo" chunancha un sab ne khoob shikam seher ho kar khana tanavul kiya aur uss mein se bahut sara gosht bach bhi gaya aur Allah ki qasam bano Salma ki baithak ke log un ko dekh rahe the, ye un ki nazar mein zyada achcha tha wo is liye qareeb nahi aaye ke mabada aap ko takleef na ho. Phir Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aur aap ke ashaab kharay hue aur un ke paas se hat aaye aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ye farmate jaate the: "Meri pusht فرشتوں ke liye chhor do", main darwaze ki chaukhat tak un ke peechhe gaya ke meri biwi ne ba-parda sar nikala aur kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Mere aur mere shohar ke liye dua farma deejiye, aap ne dua ki "Allah tumhare liye aur tumhare shohar ke liye rahmat o barkat nazil farmaye." Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Falan shakhs ko bulaao", wahi jisne mujhse apna qarz mangne mein sakhti ki thi aur uss se kaha: Jabir ko kuch mohlat de do uss ke baap ke upar jo qarz tha uss mein se kuch aayinda kataayi ke waqt le lena, usne jawab diya nahi ye mujhse nahi ho sakta, uzr ye pesh kiya ke ye yateemon ka maal hai, Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Jabir kahan hain?" Arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Main yahan maujood hun, aap ne farmaya: "(Jo kuch tumhare paas hai) un ko tol kar de do, Allah Ta'ala poora karayega," aap ne aasman ki taraf sar uthaya to suraj dhal raha tha aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Abubakar chalo namaz ke liye" chunancha sab log namaz ke liye rawana ho gaye, maine apne qarz khwah se kaha: Lao apna bartan qareeb lao aur maine ajwa khajoor tolni shuru ki to Allah ne poori bhi kara di aur qarz ke baad kaafi saari bach bhi gayi. Main daudata hua goya ke main aag se udne wala sharaara tha Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paas masjid aaya, dekha ke aap namaz se farigh ho chuke hain, maine arz kiya: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Maine apne qarz khwah ke liye ajwa khajooriyan tolein to wo na sirf poori ho gayin balke kaafi saari bach bhi gayin. Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Umar bin Khattab kidhar hain?", chunancha Sayyidna Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) daudate hue tashreef laaye, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unse farmaya: "Jabir se un ke qarz khwah aur khajooron ke baare mein daryaft karo", unhon ne jawab diya jab mujhe maloom hai ke aap ne un ke liye dua farmaayi ke Allah Ta'ala usse poora farma de to phir poochhne ki zaroorat hi nahi (yani yaqeenan Allah ne uss se qarz poora ada karwa diya ho ga) aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne teen baar unse yahi kaha aur teeno baar unhon ne yahi jawab diya ke mujhe ye poochhne ki zaroorat hi nahi, aur aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki ye aadat mubarakah thi ke teen baar se zyada kisi baat ko lautate nahi the. Phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya "Tumhare qarz mangne wale ne kya kiya aur tumar khajoor ka kya bana?" Arz kiya: Allah Ta'ala ne qarz ki miqdar poori farma di aur bahut si khajooriyan bachi reh gayin. Phir main apne ghar wapas aaya aur biwi se kaha: Maine tumse mana nahi kiya tha ke mere ghar mein Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se baat na karna? To uss (neik bakht) ne jawab diya: Aap ka kya khayal hai Allah Ta'ala mere ghar mein apne Nabi ko bheje aur aap wapas tashreef le jayein aur main apne aur aap ke liye dua ki bhi darkhwast na karun?.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَان، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ نُبَيْحٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ: خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ لِيُقَاتِلَهُمْ، فَقَالَ أَبِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ: يَا جَابِرُ، لَا عَلَيْكَ أَنْ تَكُونَ، فِي نَظَّارِي أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ حَتَّى تَعْلَمَ إِلَى مَا يَصِيرُ أَمْرُنَا، فَإِنِّي وَاللَّهِ لَوْلَا أَنِّي أَتْرُكُ بَنَاتٍ لِي بَعْدِي، لَأَحْبَبْتُ أَنْ تُقْتَلَ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ، قَالَ: فَبَيْنَمَا أَنَا فِي النَّظَّارِينَ إِذْ جَاءَتْ عَمَّتِي بِأَبِي وَخَالِي لِتَدْفُنَهُمَا فِي مَقَابِرِنَا، فَلَحِقَ رَجُلٌ يُنَادِي، إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ أَنْ تَرُدُّوا الْقَتْلَى فَتَدْفُنُوهَا فِي مَضَاجِعَهَا حَيْثُ قُتِلَتْ، فَرَدَدْنَاهُمَا، فَدَفَنَّاهُمَا فِي مَضْجَعِهِمَا حَيْثُ قُتِلَا: فَبَيْنَا أَنَا فِي خِلَافَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، إِذْ جَاءَنِي رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، لَقَدْ أَثَارَ أَبَاكَ عُمَّالُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، فَبَدَا، فَخَرَجَ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ، فَانْطَلَقْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَوَجَدْتُهُ عَلَى النَّحْوِ الَّذِي دَفَنْتُهُ لَمْ يَتَغَيَّرْ إِلَّا مَا لَمْ يَدَعِ الْقَتِيلَ، قَالَ: فَوَارَيْتُهُ، وَتَرَكَ أَبِي عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا مِنْ التَّمْرِ فَاشْتَدَّ عَلَيَّ بَعْضُ غُرَمَائِهِ، فِي التَّقَاضِي، فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ أَبِي أُصِيبَ يَوْمَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَإِنَّهُ تَرَكَ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا مِنَ التَّمْرِ، وَإِنَّهُ قَدْ اشْتَدَّ عَلَيَّ بَعْضُ غُرَمَائِهِ فِي الطَّلَبِ، فَأُحِبُّ أَنْ تُعِينَنِي عَلَيْهِ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُنْظِرَنِي طَائِفَةً مِنْ تَمْرِهِ إِلَى هَذَا الصِّرَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ، قَالَ: "نَعَمْ آتِيكَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ قَرِيبًا مِنْ وَسَطِ النَّهَارِ"، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ وَمَعَهُ حَوَارِيُّوهُ، قَالَ: فَجَلَسُوا فِي الظِّلِّ وَسَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسْتَأْذَنَ ثُمَّ دَخَلَ عَلَيْنَا، قَالَ: وَقَدْ قُلْتُ لِامْرَأَتِي: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَاءَنِي الْيَوْمَ وَسَطَ النَّهَارِ، فَلَا يَرَيَنَّكِ وَلَا تُؤْذِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي بِشَيْءٍ وَلَا تُكَلِّمِيهِ، فَفَرَشَتْ فِرَاشًا وَوِسَادَةً فَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ، فَنَامَ، فَقُلْتُ لِمَوْلًى لِي: اذْبَحْ هَذِهِ الْعَنَاقَ، وَهِيَ دَاجِنٌ سَمِينَة، فَالْوَحَا وَالْعَجْلَ افْرَغْ مِنْهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَسْتَيْقِظَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا مَعَكَ، فَلَمْ نَزَلْ فِيهَا حَتَّى فَرَغْنَا مِنْهَا , وَهُوَ نَائِمٌ، فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ يَسْتَيْقِظُ يَدْعُو بِطَهُورِ، وَأَنَا أَخَافُ إِذَا فَرَغَ أَنْ يَقُومَ , فَلَا يَفْرَغْ مِنْ طُهُورِهِ حَتَّى يُوضَعَ الْعَنَاقُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَلَمَّا اسْتَيْقَظَ، قَالَ:"يَا جَابِرُ ائْتِنِي بِطَهُورٍ"، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَلَمْ يَفْرَغْ مِنْ وُضُوئِهِ حَتَّى وُضِعَتِ الْعَنَاقُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، قَالَ: فَنَظَرَ إِلَيَّ، فَقَالَ:"كَأَنَّكَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ حُبَّنَا اللَّحْمَ، ادْعُ أَبَا بَكْر"، ثُمَّ دَعَا حَوَارِيِّيهِ، قَالَ: فَجِيءَ بِالطَّعَامِ فَوُضِعَ، قَالَ: فَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ، وَقَالَ:"بِسْمِ اللَّهِ كُلُوا"، فَأَكَلُوا حَتَّى شَبِعُوا وَفَضَلَ مِنْهَا لَحْمٌ كَثِيرٌ، وَقَالَ: وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ مَجْلِسَ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ لَيَنْظُرُونَ إِلَيْهِمْ، هُوَ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْهِمْ مِنْ أَعْيُنِهِمْ، مَا يَقْرَبُونَهُ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يُؤْذُوهُ، ثُمَّ قَامَ، وَقَامَ أَصْحَابُهُ، فَخَرَجُوا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، وَكَانَ يَقُولُ:"خَلُّوا ظَهْرِي لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ"، قَالَ: فَاتَّبَعْتُهُمْ حَتَّى بَلَغْتُ سَقُفَّةَ الْبَابِ، فَأَخْرَجَتِ امْرَأَتِي صَدْرَهَا وَكَانَتْ سَتِّيرَةً، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، صَلِّ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى زَوْجِي، قَالَ:"صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْكِ وَعَلَى زَوْجِكِ"، ثُمَّ قَالَ:"ادْعُوا لِي فُلَانًا لِلْغَرِيمِ الَّذِي اشْتَدَّ عَلَيَّ فِي الطَّلَبِ، فَقَالَ:"أَنْسِ جَابِرًا طَائِفَةً مِنْ دَيْنِكَ الَّذِي عَلَى أَبِيهِ إِلَى هَذَا الصِّرَامِ الْمُقْبِلِ"، قَالَ: مَا أَنَا بِفَاعِلٍ، قَالَ: وَاعْتَلَّ وَقَالَ: إِنَّمَا هُوَ مَالُ يَتَامَى، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"أَيْنَ جَابِرٌ؟"قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أَنَا ذَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:"كِلْ لَهُ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى سَوْفَ يُوَفِّيهِ"، فَرَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ، فَإِذَا الشَّمْسُ قَدْ دَلَكَتْ، قَالَ:"الصَّلَاةُ يَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ"، فَانْدَفَعُوا إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقُلْتُ لِغَرِيمِي: قَرِّبْ أَوْعِيَتَكَ، فَكِلْتُ لَهُ مِنْ الْعَجْوَةِ فَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ وَفَضُلَ لَنَا مِنْ التَّمْرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، قَالَ: فَجِئْتُ أَسْعَى إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَسْجِدِهِ كَأَنِّي شَرَارَةٌ، فَوَجَدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ صَلَّى، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي قَدْ كِلْتُ لِغَرِيمِي تَمْرَهُ فَوَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ وَفَضُلَ لَنَا مِنْ التَّمْرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:"أَيْنَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ؟"، قَالَ: فَجَاءَ يُهَرْوِلُ، قَالَ:"سَلْ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ غَرِيمِهِ وَتَمْرِهِ"، قَالَ: مَا أَنَا بِسَائِلِهِ، قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَوْفَ يُوَفِّيهِ إِذْ أَخْبَرْتَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ سَوْفَ يُوَفِّيهِ فَرَدَّدَ عَلَيْهِ، وَرَدَّدَ عَلَيْهِ هَذِهِ الْكَلِمَةَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ، كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ: مَا أَنَا بِسَائِلِهِ، وَكَانَ لَا يُرَاجَعُ بَعْدَ الْمَرَّةِ الثَّالِثَةِ، فَقَالَ: مَا فَعَلَ غَرِيمُكَ وَتَمْرُكَ؟، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: وَفَّاهُ اللَّهُ وَفَضُلَ لَنَا مِنْ التَّمْرِ كَذَا وَكَذَا، قالَ: فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَى امْرَأَتِي، فَقُلْتُ: أَلَمْ أَكُنْ نَهَيْتُكِ أَنْ تُكَلِّمِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَيْتِي؟، فَقَالَتْ: تَظُنُّ أَنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُورِدُ نَبِيَّهُ فِي بَيْتِي ثُمَّ يَخْرُجُ وَلَا أَسْأَلُهُ الصَّلَاةَ عَلَيَّ وَعَلَى زَوْجِي.
