Sunan al-Darimi 48
It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that some companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) were sitting, awaiting his arrival. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) approached them and listened to their conversation. One said, "It is amazing that Allah, the Exalted, chose Ibrahim (Abraham) as His friend, and Ibrahim is the Khalil (close friend) of Allah." Another said, "Even more amazing is that Allah, the Exalted, spoke to Musa (Moses) directly." Another said, "And Isa (Jesus), he was created by the word of Allah, 'Kun' (Be), and the Spirit (Angel Gabriel) is from Him." Someone else said, "And Adam (Adam), Allah, the Exalted, chose him and favored him." Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came before them, greeted them with salam, and said, "I heard your conversation and your amazement at Ibrahim being the Khalil, and he is as you said. And (your amazement at) Musa being Kalimullah (the one spoken to by Allah), and he is as you said. And (your amazement at) Isa being Kalimatullah (the Word of Allah) and Roohullah (the Spirit from Allah), and he is as you said. And (your amazement at) Adam being chosen and favored, and he is as you said. And listen! I am the beloved of Allah, and I do not boast of it. And I am the one who will carry the banner of praise on the Day of Judgment, under which will be Adam and those after him. And I do not boast of it. And I am the first intercessor and the first whose intercession will be accepted. And I do not boast of it. And I am the first who will knock on the doors of Paradise, and they will be opened for me, and Allah, the Exalted, will admit me into Paradise, and with me will be the poor and needy believers. And I do not boast of it. And I am the most honored and respected of all people, past and present, in the sight of Allah. And I do not boast of it."

سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ نبی ﷺ کے کچھ ساتھی بیٹھے آپ کا انتظار کر رہے تھے، آپ ﷺ ان سے قریب ہوئے اور ان کی باتیں سنیں، کسی نے کہا: تعجب ہے اللہ تعالی نے اپنی مخلوق میں سے ابراہیم علیہ السلام کو دوست بنا لیا اور ابراہیم علیہ السلام اللہ کے خلیل ہیں، دوسرے نے کہا: اللہ تعالیٰ کا موسیٰ علیہ السلام سے کلام کرنا اس سے بھی عجیب تر ہے، ایک نے کہا: اور عیسیٰ علیہ السلام تو الله تعالی کے کلمہ «كُنْ» سے پیدا ہو گئے اور روح ان کی اس کی طرف سے ہے، کسی نے کہا: اور آدم علیہ السلام کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے پسند کیا، ان کو چن لیا، پھر آپ ﷺ ان کے سامنے آئے، سلام کیا اور فرمایا: میں نے تمہاری باتیں سنیں اور سنا تمہارا تعجب کرنا ابراہیم کے خلیل ہونے پر اور وہ ایسے ہی ہیں، اور موسیٰ کے اللہ سے نجی (سرگوشی کرنے والا) ہونے پر اور وہ بھی ایسے ہی ہیں، اور تمہیں تعجب ہے عیسٰی کے کلمۃ اللہ و روحہ ہونے پر وہ بھی ایسے ہی ہیں، اور آدم کے پسندیدہ ہونے پر وہ بھی ایسے ہی ہیں (یعنی یہ سب صحیح ہے) اور سنو! میں (بھی) الله کا محبوب ہوں اور اس پر فخر نہیں اور میں ہی قیامت کے دن حمد کے جھنڈے کو اٹھانے والا ہوں جس کے نیچے آدم علیہ السلام اور ان کے بعد کے لوگ ہوں گے۔ اس پر بھی کوئی فخر نہیں، اور میں ہی سب سے پہلا شفاعت کرنے والا اور وہ پہلا شخص ہوں جس کی شفاعت قبول کی جائے گی، اس پر بھی کوئی فخر نہیں، اور میں ہی وہ پہلا شخص ہوں گا جو جنت کے دروازوں کی زنجیریں کھٹکھٹائے گا اور وہ میرے لئے کھول دی جائیں گی اور اللہ تعالی مجھے جنت میں داخل فرمائے گا اور میرے ساتھ فقراء مومنین ہوں گے اس میں بھی فخر نہیں، اور میں اللہ کے نزدیک اگلے پچھلے سب لوگوں میں سب سے زیادہ معزز و مکرم ہوں اس پر بھی کوئی فخر نہیں۔
Sayyidna Ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ki Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke kuch sathi baithe aap ka intezar kar rahe the, aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) unse qareeb huye aur unki baaten sunin, kisi ne kaha: ta'ajjub hai Allah Ta'ala ne apni makhlooq mein se Ibrahim Alaihissalam ko dost bana liya aur Ibrahim Alaihissalam Allah ke khalil hain, doosre ne kaha: Allah Ta'ala ka Musa Alaihissalam se kalaam karna is se bhi ajeeb tar hai, ek ne kaha: aur Isa Alaihissalam to Allah Ta'ala ke kalma «kun» se paida ho gaye aur Rooh unki iski taraf se hai, kisi ne kaha: aur Adam Alaihissalam ko Allah Ta'ala ne pasand kiya, unko chun liya, phir aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) unke samne aaye, salaam kiya aur farmaya: maine tumhari baaten sunin aur suna tumhara ta'ajjub karna Ibrahim ke khalil hone par aur wo aise hi hain, aur Musa ke Allah se niji (sarگوشی karne wala) hone par aur wo bhi aise hi hain, aur tumhen ta'ajjub hai Isa ke kalimatullah o Roohullah hone par wo bhi aise hi hain, aur Adam ke pasandidah hone par wo bhi aise hi hain (yani ye sab sahih hai) aur suno! main (bhi) Allah ka mahboob hun aur is par fakhr nahin aur main hi qayamat ke din hamd ke jhande ko uthane wala hun jiske neeche Adam Alaihissalam aur unke baad ke log honge. is par bhi koi fakhr nahin, aur main hi sab se pehla shifa'at karne wala aur wo pehla shakhs hun jiski shifa'at qubool ki jayegi, is par bhi koi fakhr nahin, aur main hi wo pehla shakhs hun ga jo jannat ke darwazon ki zanjiren khatkhataye ga aur wo mere liye khol di jayegi aur Allah Ta'ala mujhe jannat mein dakhil farmayega aur mere sath fuqara mominin honge is mein bhi fakhr nahin, aur main Allah ke nazdeek agle pichhle sab logon mein sab se zyada mo'azziz o mukrim hun is par bhi koi fakhr nahin.
أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَجِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا زَمْعَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: جَلَسَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْتَظِرُونَهُ فَخَرَجَ حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَا مِنْهُمْ، سَمِعَهُمْ يَتَذَاكَرُونَ، فَتَسَمَّعَ حَدِيثَهُمْ، فَإِذَا بَعْضُهُمْ، يَقُولُ: عَجَبًا إِنَّ اللَّهَ اتَّخَذَ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ خَلِيلًا، فَإِبْرَاهِيمُ خَلِيلُهُ، وَقَالَ آخَرُ: مَاذَا بِأَعْجَبَ مِنْ: وَكَلَّمَ اللَّهُ مُوسَى تَكْلِيمًا سورة النساء آية 164، وَقَالَ آخَرُ: فَعِيسَى كَلِمَةُ اللَّهِ وَرُوحُهُ، وَقَالَ آخَرُ: وَآدَمُ اصْطَفَاهُ اللَّه، فَخَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَسَلَّمَ، وَقَالَ: "قَدْ سَمِعْتُ كَلَامَكُمْ وَعَجَبَكُمْ، إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلُ اللَّهِ، وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ، وَمُوسَى نَجِيُّهُ، وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ، وَعِيسَى رُوحُهُ وَكَلِمَتُهُ، وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ، وَآدَمُ اصْطَفَاهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى، وَهُوَ كَذَلِكَ، أَلَا وَأَنَا حَبِيبُ اللَّهِ، وَلَا فَخْرَ، وَأَنَا حَامِلُ لِوَاءِ الْحَمْدِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَلَا فَخْرُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ شَافِعٍ، وَأَوَّلُ مُشَفَّعٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَا فَخْرُ، وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ مَنْ يُحَرِّكُ بِحَلَقِ الْجَنَّةِ وَلَا فَخْرُ، فَيَفْتَحُ اللَّهُ فَيُدْخِلُنِيهَا وَمَعِي فُقَرَاءُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَا فَخْرُ، وَأَنَا أَكْرَمُ الْأَوَّلِينَ وَالْآخِرِينَ عَلَى اللَّهِ، وَلَا فَخْرُ".
