Yahya related to me from Malik from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al- Hadi from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Harith at-Taymi from Abu Salama ibn Abd ar-Rahman that Abu Said al-Khudri said, "The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to do itikaf in the middle ten days of Ramadan. One year he was doing itikaf and then, when it came to the night of the twenty-first, which was the night before the morning when he would normally have finished his itikaf, he said, 'Whoever has done i'tikaf with me should continue doing itikaf for the last ten days. I saw a certain night and then I was made to forget it. I saw myself prostrating the following morning in water and clay. Look for it in the last ten days, and look for it on the odd days.' "Abu Said continued, "The sky poured with rain that night and the mosque had a roof (made of palm fronds) and the mosque was soaked. With my own eyes I saw the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, leave with traces of water and clay on his forehead and nose, in the morning after the night of the twenty- first."
یحییٰ نے مجھے مالک سے یزید بن عبداللہ بن الہادی سے ، انھوں نے محمد بن ابراہیم التیمی سے ، انھوں نے ابو سلمہ بن عبدالرحمن سے روایت کی کہ ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رمضان کے درمیانی عشرہ میں اعتکاف فرمایا کرتے تھے۔ ایک سال آپ اعتکاف میں تھے کہ جب اکیسویں رات آئی جو کہ اس صبح سے پہلے کی رات تھی جب آپ عام طور پر اپنا اعتکاف ختم فرماتے تھے تو آپ نے فرمایا، "جو شخص میرے ساتھ اعتکاف کر رہا ہے وہ آخری دس دن بھی اعتکاف جاری رکھے۔ میں نے ایک خاص رات دیکھی تھی پھر مجھے وہ بھلا دی گئی۔ میں نے خود کو اگلی صبح پانی اور مٹی میں سجدہ کرتے ہوئے دیکھا۔ اسے آخری دس دنوں میں تلاش کرو اور طاق راتوں میں تلاش کرو۔" ابو سعید نے کہا، "اس رات موسلا دھار بارش ہوئی اور مسجد میں چھت (کھجور کے پتوں کی بنی ہوئی) تھی اور مسجد بھیگ گئی۔ اپنی آنکھوں سے میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اکیسویں رات کے بعد صبح کو پیشانی اور ناک پر پانی اور مٹی کے نشانات کے ساتھ نکلتے ہوئے دیکھا۔"
Yahya ne mujhe Malik se Yazid bin Abdullah bin al-Hadi se, unhon ne Muhammad bin Ibrahim al-Taimi se, unhon ne Abu Salama bin Abdur-Rahman se riwayat ki ke Abu Sa'id Khudri Radi Allahu Anhu ne kaha ke Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Ramadan ke darmiyani ashra mein i'tikaf farmaya karte thay. Ek saal aap i'tikaf mein thay ke jab ikkisvin raat aai jo ke us subah se pehle ki raat thi jab aap aam taur par apna i'tikaf khatm farmate thay to aap ne farmaya, "Jo shakhs mere sath i'tikaf kar raha hai wo aakhri das din bhi i'tikaf jari rakhe. Maine ek khas raat dekhi thi phir mujhe wo bhula di gai. Maine khud ko agli subah pani aur mitti mein sijda karte huye dekha. Use aakhri das dinon mein talash karo aur taq raaton mein talash karo." Abu Sa'id ne kaha, "Uss raat musladhar barish hui aur masjid mein chhat (khajoor ke patton ki bani hui) thi aur masjid bheeg gai. Apni aankhon se maine Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ko ikkisvin raat ke baad subah ko peshani aur nak par pani aur mitti ke nishanat ke sath nikalte huye dekha."
حَدَّثَنِي زِيَادٌ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْهَادِ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَعْتَكِفُ الْعَشْرَ الْوُسُطَ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ ، فَاعْتَكَفَ عَامًا . حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ لَيْلَةَ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ وَهِيَ اللَّيْلَةُ الَّتِي يَخْرُجُ فِيهَا مِنْ صُبْحِهَا مِنِ اعْتِكَافِهِ ، قَالَ : « مَنِ اعْتَكَفَ مَعِيَ ، فَلْيَعْتَكِفِ الْعَشْرَ الْأَوَاخِرَ . وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ . ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا . وَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي أَسْجُدُ مِنْ صُبْحِهَا فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ ، فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ . وَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي كُلِّ وِتْرٍ »، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ : فَأُمْطِرَتِ السَّمَاءُ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ ، وَكَانَ الْمَسْجِدُ عَلَى عَرِيشٍ فَوَكَفَ الْمَسْجِدُ "، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ فَأَبْصَرَتْ عَيْنَايَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ انْصَرَفَ وَعَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ وَأَنْفِهِ أَثَرُ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ . مِنْ صُبْحِ لَيْلَةِ إِحْدَى وَعِشْرِينَ
