Sunan an-Nasa'i 2160
Abu 'Atiyyah narrated that he and Masruq came to Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها), and Masruq said to her, 'there are two men from among the companions of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) both of whom are good. One of them delays the prayer and Ifar, and the other hastens the prayer and Iftar.' Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) said, 'which of them is the one who hastens the prayer and Iftar?' Masruq said, Abdullah bin Masud ( رضي الله تعالى عنه). She said, 'that is what the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) used to do."'

ابوعطیہ وادعی ہمدانی کہتے ہیں میں اور مسروق دونوں ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے پاس گئے، مسروق نے ان سے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ کے اصحاب میں سے دو شخص ہیں، یہ دونوں نیک کام میں کوتاہی نہیں کرتے، ( لیکن ) ان میں سے ایک نماز اور افطار دونوں میں تاخیر کرتے ہیں، اور دوسرے نماز اور افطار دونوں میں جلدی کرتے ہیں، ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے پوچھا: کون ہیں جو نماز اور افطار دونوں میں جلدی کرتے ہیں؟ مسروق نے کہا: وہ عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ہیں، تو عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ ایسا ہی کرتے ہیں۔
Abu Atiyah wa Adi Hamdani kehte hain main aur Masruq donon Ummul Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ke pas gaye, Masruq ne un se kaha: Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke Ashab mein se do shakh hain, yeh donon nek kam mein kutahi nahin karte, ( lekin ) in mein se ek namaz aur iftar donon mein takheer karte hain, aur dusre namaz aur iftar donon mein jaldi karte hain, Ummul Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne poocha: Kon hain jo namaz aur iftar donon mein jaldi karte hain? Masruq ne kaha: Woh Abdullah bin Masood (رضي الله تعالى عنه) hain, to Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne kaha: Rasoolullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) aisa hi karte hain.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ، عَنْ زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَ دَخَلْتُ أَنَا وَمَسْرُوقٌ، عَلَى عَائِشَةَ فَقَالَ لَهَا مَسْرُوقٌ رَجُلاَنِ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم كِلاَهُمَا لاَ يَأْلُو عَنِ الْخَيْرِ أَحَدُهُمَا يُؤَخِّرُ الصَّلاَةَ وَالْفِطْرَ وَالآخَرُ يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلاَةَ وَالْفِطْرَ . فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ أَيُّهُمَا الَّذِي يُعَجِّلُ الصَّلاَةَ وَالْفِطْرَ قَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ . فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ هَكَذَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .
