Sunan an-Nasa'i 4641
Jabir bin Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘we were traveling with the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and I was riding a camel. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said to me, ‘will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgive you?’ I said, ‘yes, it is yours, O Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).’ He said, ‘will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgive your?’ I said, ‘yes, it is yours, O Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم).’ He said, ‘will you sell it to me for such and such, may Allah forgive you?’ I said, ‘yes, it is yours’.’ One of the narrators Abu Nadrah said, ‘this became a phrase that was used by the Muslims, “Do such and such, may Allah forgive you”.

جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ہم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ساتھ جا رہے تھے، میں سینچائی کرنے والے ایک اونٹ پر سوار تھا، رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم اسے میرے ہاتھ اتنے اتنے میں بیچو گے؟ اللہ تمہیں معاف کرے“، میں نے عرض کیا: ہاں، اللہ کے نبی! وہ آپ کا ہی ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم اسے میرے ہاتھ اتنے اور اتنے میں بیچو گے؟ اللہ تمہیں معاف کرے“، میں نے عرض کیا: ہاں، اللہ کے نبی! وہ آپ ہی کا ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: ”کیا تم اسے میرے ہاتھ اتنے اور اتنے میں بیچو گے؟ اللہ تمہیں معاف کرے“، میں نے عرض کیا: ہاں، وہ آپ ہی کا ہے۔ ابونضرہ کہتے ہیں: یہ مسلمانوں کا تکیہ کلام تھا کہ جب کسی سے کہتے: ایسا ایسا کرو تو کہتے: «واللہ یغفر لک» ۔
Jaber bin Abdillah ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a kehte hain ke hum Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sath ja rahe the, main sinchayi karne wala ek ont par sawar tha, Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: "Kya tum ise mere hath itne itne mein bechogay? Allah tumhen maaf kare", main ne arz kiya: Haan, Allah ke Nabi! woh aap ka hi hai, aap ne farmaya: "Kya tum ise mere hath itne aur itne mein bechogay? Allah tumhen maaf kare", main ne arz kiya: Haan, Allah ke Nabi! woh aap hi ka hai, aap ne farmaya: "Kya tum ise mere hath itne aur itne mein bechogay? Allah tumhen maaf kare", main ne arz kiya: Haan, woh aap hi ka hai. Abu Nuzra kehte hain: yeh Musalmanon ka takiya kalam tha ke jab kisi se kehte: aisa aisa karo to kehte: «WAllahu Yaghfir Lak»
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي قَالَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نَضْرَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَسِيرُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَنَا عَلَى نَاضِحٍ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " أَتَبِيعُنِيهِ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ هُوَ لَكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ قَالَ " أَتَبِيعُنِيهِ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ هُوَ لَكَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ . قَالَ " أَتَبِيعُنِيهِ بِكَذَا وَكَذَا وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَكَ " . قُلْتُ نَعَمْ هُوَ لَكَ . قَالَ أَبُو نَضْرَةَ وَكَانَتْ كَلِمَةً يَقُولُهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ افْعَلْ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَكَ .
