Hazrat Ibrahim's guidance is that the value of a child in the womb of a slave woman is equal to the price of the slave woman, and the value of a child of a free woman is based on her dowry, which is one-tenth or half of one-tenth.
حضرت ابراہیم کا ارشاد ہے کہ باندی کے پیٹ میں موجود بچے کا اعتبار باندی کی قیمت سے ہے اور آزاد عورت کے بچے کا اعتبار اس کی دیت سے ہے یعنی عشر اور نصف عشر۔
Hazrat Ibrahim ka irshad hai keh bandi ke pait mein mojood bachay ka aitbaar bandi ki qeemat se hai aur azad aurat ke bachay ka aitbaar us ki deet se hai yani ushr aur nisf ushr.
Hazrat Qatadah said that if the child is born alive, then there is a price for it, and if it is born dead, then there is one-tenth of the price of its mother.
حضرت قتادہ فرماتے ہیں کہ اگر بچہ زندہ پیدا ہوجائے تو اس میں اس کی قیمت ہے اور اگر مردہ پیدا ہوا تو اس میں اس کی ماں کی قیمت کا دسواں حصہ ہے۔
Hazrat Qatadah farmate hain keh agar bachcha zinda paida hojae to is mein is ki qeemat hai aur agar murda paida hua to is mein is ki maan ki qeemat ka daswaan hissa hai.
Hazrat Sufyan said that if a slave is born (meaning a boy is born) then one-twentieth of his price will have to be given and if a slave girl is born (meaning a girl is born), one-tenth of her price will have to be given.
حضرت سفیان کا ارشاد ہے کہ ہم کہتے ہیں کہ اگر جنین غلام ہو (یعنی لڑکا پیدا ہو) تو اس کی قیمت کا بیسواں حصہ دینا ہوگا اور اگر باندی (یعنی بچی پیدا ہو) تو اس کی قیمت کا دسواں حصہ دینا ہوگا۔
