It is narrated from Ta'us that Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If a deceased person leaves behind seven hundred dirhams, he should not make a will.
طاؤس سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : جب مرنے والا سات سو درہم چھوڑ کر جا رہا ہو تو وصیت نہ کرے۔
Taus se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Ibn Abbas (RA) ne farmaya: Jab marne wala saat sau dirham chhor kar ja raha ho to wasiyat na kare.
It is narrated from Hammam that Hazrat Qatadah, in explanation of the words of Allah Almighty {If he leaves wealth, [it is] for the will}, said: It was famous among the people at that time that good wealth was one thousand dirhams.
ھمام سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت قتادہ نے فرمان باری تعالیٰ {إنْ تَرَکَ خَیْرًا الْوَصِیَّۃُ } کی تشریح میں فرمایا : اس وقت لوگوں میں یہ بات معروف تھی کہ بہتر مال ایک ہزار درہم ہے۔
Hammam se riwayat hai keh Hazrat Qatada ne farman e bari tala {In Taraka Khayran Al-Wassiyatu} ki tashreeh mein farmaya: us waqt logon mein yeh baat maroof thi keh behtar maal ek hazaar dirham hai.
It is narrated on the authority of 'Urwah that Hadrat 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) came to visit a man from the Banu Hashim who was ill. When the man began to make a will, you (Hadrat 'Ali) stopped him and said, "Allah Almighty has said, 'If (the deceased) leaves behind wealth...' and you are not leaving behind any wealth, so leave what you have for your children!".
عروہ سے روایت ہے کہ حضرت علی (رض) بنو ہاشم کے ایک آدمی کے پاس اس کی تیمارداری کے لیے آئے، وہ وصیت کرنے لگا تو آپ نے اس کو منع فرمایا اور فرمایا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ فرمایا ہے کہ ” اگر (مرنے والا) مال چھوڑے “ اور تم تو کوئی مال چھوڑ کر نہیں مر رہے، اس لیے جو ہے وہ اپنے بچوں کے لیے چھوڑ دو !۔
Urwa se riwayat hai ki Hazrat Ali (RA) Banu Hashim ke aik aadmi ke paas uski timaardari ke liye aaye, woh wasiyat karne laga to aap ne usko mana farmaaya aur farmaaya ki Allah Taala ne ye farmaaya hai ki "Agar (marne wala) maal chhore" aur tum to koi maal chhor kar nahi mar rahe, isliye jo hai woh apne bachchon ke liye chhor do!.
Ibn Abi Malikah narrated that a man came to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: "I want to make a will." She asked: "How much wealth do you have?" He replied: "Three thousand." She asked: "How many members are there in your family?" He said: "Four." She said: "Allah Almighty has stated this condition: 'If he leaves behind wealth...' And you have very little wealth, leave it for your children, that is better.
ابن ابی ملیکہ فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک آدمی نے حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے عرض کیا کہ میں وصیت کرنا چاہتا ہوں ، انھوں نے پوچھا تیرے پاس کتنا مال ہے ؟ عرض کیا : تین ہزار، آپ نے پوچھا تیرے اہل و عیال کتنے افراد ہیں ؟ کہنے لگا ، چار، آپ نے فرمایا : اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ شرط ذکر فرمائی ہے ” اگر مال چھوڑے “ اور تیرے پاس تو بہت معمولی سا مال ہے اس کو اپنے بچوں کے لیے چھوڑ دو ، یہی افضل ہے۔
Ibne Abi Malika farmate hain ke ek aadmi ne Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) se arz kiya ke mein wasiyat karna chahta hun, unhon ne poocha tere pass kitna maal hai? Arz kiya: teen hazaar, aap ne poocha tere ahle wa ayaal kitne afrad hain? Kehne laga, chaar, aap ne farmaya: Allah Ta'ala ne yeh shart zikr farmai hai "agar maal chhode" aur tere pass to bahut mamooli sa maal hai is ko apne bachchon ke liye chhod do, yahi afzal hai.
