What has been mentioned concerning al-Abbas ﵁, the uncle of the Prophet ﷺ.
مَا ذُكِرَ فِي الْعَبَّاسِ ﵁ عَمِّ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

Hazrat Abdul Muttalib bin Rabia bin Haris bin Abdul Muttalib (R.A) stated that Hazrat Abbas (R.A) came to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while I was with him. So, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) asked, "Who angered you?" He (R.A) replied, "O Messenger of Allah! What have the people of Quraysh done to us? When they meet each other, they meet with cheerful faces, but when they meet us, they don't do the same." The narrator says: Upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) became angry, so much so that his face turned red with anger, and the vein between his two eyes started throbbing. And whenever he (ﷺ) got angry, this vein used to throb. Then when you (R.A) left, he (ﷺ) said, "By the One in whose grip is the life of Muhammad (ﷺ), faith will never enter the heart of a man until he loves you for the sake of Allah and His Messenger (ﷺ)." Then he (ﷺ) said, "O people! Whoever has hurt Hazrat Abbas (R.A) has indeed hurt me. Verily, a man's paternal uncle is like his father."
حضرت عبد المطب بن ربیعہ بن حارث بن عبد المطلب (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عباس (رض) رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آئے اس حال میں کہ میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس تھا۔ تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : کس نے آپ (رض) کو غصہ دلایا ؟ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : اے اللہ کے رسول 5! قریش کے لوگوں کو ہم سے کیا ہوا ؟ جب وہ آپس میں ملتے ہیں تو بڑے خوشگوار چہرے سے ملتے ہیں اور جب ہم سے ملتے ہیں تو وہ اس طرح نہیں ہوتے ؟ راوی کہتے ہیں : یہ بات سن کر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو غصہ آگیا یہاں تک کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کا چہرہ غصہ سے سرخ ہوگیا اور دونوں آنکھوں کے درمیان موجود رَگ پھڑکنے لگی۔ اور جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) غصہ ہوتے تو یہ رگ پھڑکتی تھی۔ پس جب آپ (رض) چلے گئے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے قبضہ قدرت میں محمد (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی جان ہے۔ ایمان ہرگز داخل نہیں ہوگا کسی آدمی کے دل میں یہاں تک کہ وہ تم لوگوں سے اللہ اور اس کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی وجہ سے محبت کرے ، پھر ارشاد فرمایا : اے لوگو ! جس نے حضرت عباس (رض) کو اذیت پہنچائی، تحقیق اس نے مجھے ایذا پہنچائی۔ بیشک آدمی کا چچا اس کے باپ کی مانند ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Abdul Muttalib bin Rabia bin Harith bin Abdul Muttalib (Razi Allah Anhu) farmate hain ki Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah Anhu) Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke pas aaye is hal mein ki main aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke pas tha. To Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Kisne aap (Razi Allah Anhu) ko gussa dilaya? Aap (Razi Allah Anhu) ne farmaya: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Quresh ke logon ko humse kya hua? Jab woh aapas mein milte hain to bade khushgawar chehre se milte hain aur jab humse milte hain to woh is tarah nahin hote? Ravi kehte hain: Yeh baat sunkar Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko gussa aagaya yahan tak ki aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka chehra gusse se surkh hogaya aur donon aankhon ke darmiyan mojood rag phadakne lagi. Aur jab aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) gussa hote to yeh rag phadakti thi. Pas jab aap (Razi Allah Anhu) chale gaye to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: Kasam hai us Zaat ki jis ke qabza qudrat mein Muhammad (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki jaan hai. Imaan hargiz dakhil nahin hoga kisi aadmi ke dil mein yahan tak ki woh tum logon se Allah aur uske Rasul (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ki wajah se mohabbat kare, phir irshad farmaya: Aye logo! Jisne Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah Anhu) ko aziyat pahunchayi, tahqeeq usne mujhe eza pahunchayi. Beshak aadmi ka chacha uske baap ki manind hota hai.
Hazrat Mujahid (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Protect me concerning Abbas (RA). For indeed, he is the only one left from among my paternal uncles. And indeed, a person's paternal uncle is like his father."
حضرت مجاہد (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : تم لوگ میری حفاظت کیا کرو حضرت عباس (رض) کے بارے میں۔ پس بیشک میرے آباؤ اجداد میں سے بس وہی باقی ہیں۔ اور بیشک آدمی کا چچا باپ کی مانند ہوتا ہے۔
Hazrat Mujahid (RA) farmate hain ki Rasool Allah (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Tum log meri hifazat kya karo Hazrat Abbas (RA) ke bare mein. Pas beshak mere abaao ajdad mein se bas wohi baqi hain. Aur beshak aadmi ka chacha baap ki manind hota hai.
Hazrat Abu al-Dahhi Muslim ibn Sabeeh (RA) narrates that Hazrat Abbas (RA) said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)! We see displeasure on the faces of the people." The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "These people will never attain goodness until they love you because of my kinship. O Banu Salamah! Do you expect my intercession while Banu Abdul Muttalib do not?".
حضرت ابو الضحی مسلم بن صبیح (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! ہم لوگوں کے چہروں میں ناگواریاں دیکھتے ہیں ، تو نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : یہ لوگ ہرگز بھلائی نہیں پاسکتے یہاں تک کہ یہ تم سے محبت کریں میری قرابت کی وجہ سے، اے بنو سلہب والو کیا تم میری شفاعت کی امید کرتے ہو اور بنو عبد المطلب والے نہیں کرتے۔
Hazrat Abu al Duha Muslim bin Sabiha farmate hain ki Hazrat Abbas ne farmaya: Aye Allah ke Rasool hum logon ke chehron mein nagwariyan dekhte hain to Nabi Kareem ne irshad farmaya: Yeh log hargiz bhalayi nahin pasakte yahan tak ki yeh tumse mohabbat karein meri qarabat ki wajah se. Aye Banu Salib walo kya tum meri shafaat ki umeed karte ho aur Banu Abdul Muttalib wale nahin karte?
Hazrat Abu Usman al-Nahdi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Hazrat Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): "Come here, for you are to me like my father."
حضرت ابو عثمان النھدی (رض) فرماتے ہیں بیشک رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حضرت عباس (رض) سے ارشاد فرمایا : یہاں آؤ، بیشک آپ (رض) تو میرے والد کی طرح ہو۔
Hazrat Abu Usman al-Nahdi (RA) farmate hain beshak Rasul Allah (SAW) ne Hazrat Abbas (RA) se irshad farmaya: yahan aao, beshak aap (RA) to mere walid ki tarah ho.
Hazrat Amir (R.A) narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was going somewhere and Hazrat Abbas (R.A) was also with you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Hazrat Abbas (R.A) noticed something. So, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "O Uncle! When you (R.A) see any mistake in me, do tell me about it."
حضرت عامر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) تشریف لے جا رہے تھے اور حضرت عباس (رض) بھی آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ تھے۔ حضرت عباس (رض) نے کوئی بات دیکھی۔ تو نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : اے چچا جان ! جب آپ (رض) مجھ میں کوئی غلطی دیکھیں تو مجھے اس بارے میں بتلادیں۔
Hazrat Aamir (RA) farmate hain ke Nabi Kareem (SAW) tashreef le ja rahe thay aur Hazrat Abbas (RA) bhi aap (SAW) ke sath thay. Hazrat Abbas (RA) ne koi baat dekhi. To Nabi Kareem (SAW) ne irshad farmaya: Aye chacha jaan! Jab aap (RA) mujh mein koi ghalti dekhen to mujhe is baare mein bata den.
