It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Anas that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps over the time of a prayer, its expiation is that he should offer it as soon as he remembers it."
حضرت انس سے روایت ہے کہ نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : جس شخص کو نماز پڑھنا بھول جائے یا وہ نماز کے وقت سویا رہ جائے تو اس کا کفارہ یہ ہے کہ جب اس آدمی کو نماز یاد آئے تو یہ نماز پڑھ لے۔
Hazrat Anas se riwayat hai keh Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Jis shakhs ko namaz parhna bhul jaye ya woh namaz ke waqt soya rahe to uska kaffara yeh hai keh jab us aadmi ko namaz yaad aaye to yeh namaz parh le.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood narrates that we were returning from Hudaybiyah with the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Companions state that they descended on a sand dune. Ibn Masood says, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Who will guard us? The narrator says that Hazrat Bilal said: I will! So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Then we sleep. The narrator says that everyone slept until the sun rose. The narrator says: A few people woke up, including so-and-so, so-and-so, and among them was Umar bin Khattab. They say that then we said: Talk. The narrator says that then the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also woke up and you said: Do as you were doing. The narrator says that then we did (meaning prayed). The narrator says that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Whoever forgets a prayer or sleeps, let him do the same.
حضرت عبداللہ بن مسعود فرماتے ہیں کہ ہم نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ حدیبیہ سے آ رہے تھے صحابہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ ایک ریت کے ٹیلے پر اترے، ابن مسعود کہتے ہیں، رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : کون ہماری حفاظت کرے گا ؟ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت بلال نے کہا : میں کروں گا ! تو نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : پھر تو ہم سوتے ہیں راوی کہتے ہیں کہ سب لوگ سوئے رہے یہاں تک کہ سورج طلوع ہوگیا، راوی کہتے ہیں : چند لوگ بیدار ہوگئے ، جن میں فلاں ، فلاں تھے اور انہی میں عمر بن خطاب بھی تھے ، کہتے ہیں کہ پھر ہم نے کہا : باتیں کرو، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ پھر نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) بھی بیدار ہوگئے اور آپ نے فرمایا : تم جیسے کرتے تھے ویسے ہی کرو، راوی کہتے ہیں کہ پھر ہم نے کیا (یعنی نماز پڑھی) راوی کہتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جو کوئی نماز بھول جائے یا سویا رہے تو وہ ایسے ہی کرے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood farmate hain ke hum Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke sath Hudaibiya se aa rahe the Sahaba bayan karte hain ke woh aik ret ke teile par utre, Ibn Masood kehte hain, Rasul Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya : Kaun hamari hifazat kare ga ? Ravi kehte hain ke Hazrat Bilal ne kaha : Mein karunga ! To Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya : Phir to hum sote hain Ravi kehte hain ke sab log soye rahe yahan tak ke Suraj taloo hogaya, Ravi kehte hain : Chand log bedar hogaye, jin mein falan, falan the aur unhi mein Umar bin Khattab bhi the, kehte hain ke phir hum ne kaha : Baatein karo, Ravi kehte hain ke phir Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) bhi bedar hogaye aur aap ne farmaya : Tum jaise karte the waise hi karo, Ravi kehte hain ke phir hum ne kiya (yani namaz parhi) Ravi kehte hain ke aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya : Jo koi namaz bhool jaye ya soya rahe to woh aise hi kare.
Hazrat Aun bin Abi Hajifa narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to the people who had slept with him until sunrise: You were dead, then Allah returned your souls to you. So whoever sleeps through the time of prayer or forgets the prayer, then when he remembers this prayer or when he wakes up from sleep, he should offer the prayer.
حضرت عون بن ابی حجیفہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان لوگوں کو ارشاد فرمایا جو آپ کے ساتھ طلوع شمس تک سوئے رہے تھے، فرمایا : تم لوگ مردہ تھے پس اللہ نے تمہاری طرف تمہاری ارواح کو لوٹا دیا ہے، پس جو کوئی نماز کے وقت میں سویا رہ جائے یا نماز کو بھول جائے تو جب اس کو یہ نماز یاد آئے یا یہ جب نیند سے بیدار ہو تو نماز کو ادا کرے۔
Hazrat Aun bin Abi Hajifa apne walid se riwayat karte hain ke Rasool Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne un logon ko irshad farmaya jo aap ke sath tulue shams tak soye rahe the, farmaya: Tum log murda the pas Allah ne tumhari taraf tumhari aroah ko lauta diya hai, pas jo koi namaz ke waqt mein soya rahe jaye ya namaz ko bhul jaye to jab usko yeh namaz yaad aye ya yeh jab neend se bedar ho to namaz ko ada kare.
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that we encamped one night with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and we woke up when the sun's rays were shining, so the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Each of you should hold the end of his sheet and move away from this place." Then he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) asked for water and performed ablution and offered two rak'ahs of prayer. Then the Iqamah for prayer was pronounced and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the prayer.
And it has been stated from (Imam) Abu Hanifa that: If a person wakes up at the time of sunrise or sunset and prays (at that time), it will not suffice him.
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ ہم نے ایک رات نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ پڑاؤ ڈالا تو ہم سورج کی شعائیں پڑنے پر بیدار ہوئے تو نبی پاک (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ارشاد فرمایا : تم میں سے ہر ایک اپنے کجاوہ کے سرے کو پکڑ لے پھر اس جگہ سے ہٹ جائے، پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے پانی منگوا کر وضو فرمایا اور دو سجدے ادا کئے پھر نماز کی اقامت کہی گئی اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی۔
اور (امام) ابوحنیفہ کا قول یہ ذکر کیا گیا ہے کہ : جب آدمی طلوع آفتاب یا غروب آفتاب کے وقت بیدار ہو اور (اسی وقت) نماز پڑھے تو یہ اس کو کفایت نہیں کرے گی۔
Hazrat Abu Hurairah se riwayat hai ki hum ne ek raat Nabi (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saath paradao dala to hum sooraj ki shuain parne par bedaar hue to Nabi Pak (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne irshad farmaya: Tum mein se har ek apne kajawah ke siray ko pakad le phir us jagah se hat jaye, phir Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne pani mangwa kar wuzu farmaya aur do sajday ada kiye phir namaz ki iqamat kahi gayi aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne namaz parhai.
Aur (Imam) Abu Hanifa ka qaul ye zikar kiya gaya hai ki: Jab aadmi tulu-e-aftab ya ghurub-e-aftab ke waqt bedaar ho aur (usi waqt) namaz parhe to ye us ko kafiyat nahin karegi.
