Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 32045
Hazrat Abdullah bin Qais (R.A) narrates that Hazrat Nauman bin Bashir (R.A) said: "Hazrat Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan (R.A) sent a letter with me to Hazrat Aisha (R.A). When I handed her the letter, Hazrat Aisha (R.A) said: 'Shall I not narrate to you a hadith that I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)?' I replied: 'Why not! Please do tell me.' She (R.A) said: 'One day, I and Hazrat Hafsa (R.A) were with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'I wish we had someone to talk to.' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not send a message to Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) to come and chat with us?' He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained silent. Then Hazrat Hafsa (R.A) said, 'O Messenger of Allah! Shall I not send a message to Hazrat Umar (R.A) to come and chat with us?' He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) remained silent. She (R.A) said: 'He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) called a man and whispered to him away from us. He then left. Then, Hazrat Uthman (R.A) arrived, and he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) turned his face towards him. I then heard him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: 'O Uthman! Allah may bestow upon you a shirt. If some people wish to take it off from you, then do not take it off.' He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said this thrice.' The narrator says: 'I asked, 'O Mother of the Believers! Why didn't you narrate this hadith before?' She (R.A) replied: 'I had forgotten about it as if I had never heard it.'"
حضرت عبداللہ بن قیس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت نعمان بن بشیر (رض) نے ارشاد فرمایا : کہ حضرت معاویہ بن ابی سفیان (رض) نے ان کو ایک خط دے کر حضرت عائشہ (رض) کے پاس بھیجا تو انھوں نے وہ خط ان کو دے دیا تو حضرت عائشہ (رض) نے فرمایا : کیا میں تمہیں وہ حدیث بیان نہ کروں جو میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنی تھی ؟ میں نے کہا : کیوں نہیں ! ضرور سنائیں۔ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : ایک دن میں اور حضرت حفصہ (رض) ، حضور (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس تھیں تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) فرمانے لگے۔ کاش کہ ہمارے پاس کوئی آدمی ہوتا تو وہ ہم سے بات کرتا ۔ میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول 5! میں حضرت ابوبکر (رض) کو پیغام نہ بھیج دوں کہ وہ آئیں اور ہم سے بات چیت کریں ؟ پس آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) خاموش رہے۔ پھر حضرت حفصہ (رض) نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول 5! میں حضرت عمر (رض) کی طرف پیغام نہ بھیج دوں کہ وہ ہم سے بات چیت کریں ۔ پس آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) خاموش رہے ۔ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک آدمی کو بلا کر ہم سے ہٹ کر اس سے سرگوشی کی پھر وہ چلا گیا پھر حضرت عثمان (رض) حاضر ہوئے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنا چہرہ ان کی طرف متوجہ کیا۔ پھر میں نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا : اے عثمان : شاید اللہ تعالیٰ تمہیں ایک قمیص پہنائیں گے پس اگر کچھ لوگ اس کو تم سے اتروانا چاہیں تو تم ہرگز اس کو مت اتارنا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے یہ تین بار ارشاد فرمایا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : میں نے عرض کی۔ اے ام المؤمنین ! آپ (رض) نے پہلے یہ حدیث کیوں بیان نہیں کی ؟ آپ (رض) نے فرمایا : مجھے یہ بھلا دی گئی تھی گویا کہ میں نے اس کو کبھی سنا ہی نہ ہو۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Qais (RA) farmate hain ki Hazrat Nauman bin Bashir (RA) ne irshad farmaya: ki Hazrat Muawiya bin Abi Sufyan (RA) ne un ko ek khat de kar Hazrat Ayesha (RA) ke paas bheja to unhon ne woh khat un ko de diya to Hazrat Ayesha (RA) ne farmaya: kya main tumhen woh hadees bayan na karoon jo maine Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) se suni thi? Maine kaha: kyun nahi! Zaroor sunaen. Aap (RA) ne farmaya: ek din main aur Hazrat Hafsa (RA), Huzoor (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas thin to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) farmane lage. Kash ki humare paas koi aadmi hota to woh hum se baat karta. Maine kaha: aye Allah ke Rasul 5! Main Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) ko paigham na bhej doon ki woh aaen aur hum se baat cheet karen? Pas aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) khamosh rahe. Phir Hazrat Hafsa (RA) ne kaha: aye Allah ke Rasul 5! Main Hazrat Umar (RA) ki taraf paigham na bhej doon ki woh hum se baat cheet karen. Pas aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) khamosh rahe. Aap (RA) ne farmaya: ki aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne ek aadmi ko bula kar hum se hat kar us se sargosi ki phir woh chala gaya phir Hazrat Usman (RA) hazir hue to aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne apna chehra un ki taraf mutawajjah kiya. Phir maine aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko yeh farmate hue suna: aye Usman: shayad Allah Ta'ala tumhen ek qamees pahnaen ge pas agar kuch log us ko tum se utarwana chahen to tum hargiz us ko mat utarna. Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne yeh teen baar irshad farmaya. Ravi kehte hain: maine arz ki. Aye Ummul Momineen! Aap (RA) ne pehle yeh hadees kyun bayan nahi ki? Aap (RA) ne farmaya: mujhe yeh bhula di gayi thi goya ki maine is ko kabhi suna hi na ho.
حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ، قَالَ : ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَيْسٍ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النُّعْمَانَ بْنَ بَشِيرٍ ، أَنَّهُ أَرْسَلَهُ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ بِكِتَابٍ إِلَى عَائِشَةَ فَدَفَعَهُ إِلَيْهَا ، فَقَالَتْ لِي : أَنَا أُحَدِّثُكَ بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ، قُلْتُ : بَلَى ، قَالَتْ : إِنِّي عنْدَهُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، أَنَا وَحَفْصَةُ ، فَقَالَ : « لَوْ كَانَ عِنْدَنَا رَجُلٌ يُحَدِّثُنَا »، فَقُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَبْعَثُ إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَيَجِيءُ فَيُحَدِّثُنَا ، قَالَ : فَسَكَتَ ، فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَبْعَثُ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَيُحَدِّثُنَا ، فَسَكَتَ ، قَالَتْ : فَدَعَا رَجُلًا فَأسَرَّ إِلَيْهِ دُونَنَا فَذَهَبَ ، ثُمَّ جَاءَ عُثْمَانُ فَأَقْبَلَ عَلَيْهِ بِوَجْهِهِ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : « يَا عُثْمَانُ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَعَلَّهُ أَنْ يُقْمِصَكَ قَمِيصًا ، فَإِنْ أَرَادُوكَ عَلَى خَلْعِهِ فَلَا تَخْلَعْهُ » ثَلَاثًا ، قُلْتُ : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَيْنَ كُنْتِ عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ؟ قَالَتْ : أُنْسِيتُهُ كَأَنِّي لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ قَطُّ
