كِتَابُ صَلَاةِ التَّطَوُّعِ وَالْإِمَامَةِ وَأَبْوَابٌ مُتَفَرِّقَةٌ
Who said: Tasbih is for men, and clapping is for women
مَنْ قَالَ: التَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ

Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah 7254
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abu Huraira that one day the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the prayer. When you stood up to say the takbeer, you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said that if the Shaytan makes me forget my prayer, then the men should say tasbeeh and the women should clap their hands.
حضرت ابوہریرہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک دن نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے نماز پڑھائی، جب آپ تکبیر کہنے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ اگر شیطان مجھے میری نماز بھلا دے تو مرد تسبیح کہیں گے اور عورتیں تالی بجائیں گی۔
Hazrat Abu Huraira se riwayat hai ke aik din Nabi (SAW) ne namaz parhi, jab aap takbeer kehne ke liye khare hue to aap (SAW) ne farmaya ke agar shaitan mujhe meri namaz bhula de to mard tasbeeh kahenge aur auraten taali bajayengi.
حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِالنَّاسِ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ لِيُكَبِّرَ قَالَ : « إِنْ أَنْسَانِي الشَّيْطَانُ شَيْئًا مِنْ صَلَاتِي فَالتَّسْبِيحُ لِلرِّجَالِ ، وَالتَّصْفِيقُ لِلنِّسَاءِ »
