Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2994
Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) narrated that she asked the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) about this Ayah – [He (Allah) is who has sent down to you (O' Prophet ﷺ) the Book (the Quran). Some verses of it are definite in meaning (Ayaat-e-Muhkamaat). These form the mother of the Book (the basic there in) and the rest are figurative (metaphorical) (Ayaat-e-Mutashaabihaat). But they, in whose minds there is a tendency to deviate from truth, take the metaphorical (verses in their literal / textual sense) craving discord, and craving to give them their own interpretation, although none knows the reality about them except Allah. And those who make it right approach to knowledge could only say, 'we believe therein all that is from our Lord'. None can catch their significance except those gifted with insight.] (Aal-i-Imran - 7). So, the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, 'when you see those who seek what is not entirely clear thereof, then it is they whom Allah has described, so beware of them.' Imam Tirmidhi said, this Hadith is Hasan Sahih. It has been related from Ayyub, from Ibn Abi Mulaikah from Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها). This is how more than one narrator reported this Hadith; from Ibn Abi Mulaikah from Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها) and they did not mention in it, ‘from Al-Qasim bin Muhammad.’ Only Yazid bin Ibrahim At-Tustari is mentioned from Al-Qasim bin Muhammad in this Hadith. Ibn Abi Mulaikah is Abdullah bin Ubaidullah bin Abi Mulaika, and he has also heard from Ummul Momineen Aisha (رضي الله تعالى عنها).

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی الله عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ سے آیت «هو الذي أنزل عليك الكتاب منه آيات محكمات» کی تفسیر پوچھی گئی تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”جب تم ان لوگوں کو آیات متشابہات کے پیچھے پڑے ہوئے دیکھو تو سمجھ لو کہ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جن کا اللہ نے نام لیا ہے اور ایسے لوگوں سے بچو“۔ امام ترمذی کہتے ہیں: ۱- یہ حدیث حسن صحیح ہے، ۲- یہ حدیث ایوب سے بھی مروی ہے، اور ایوب نے ابن ابی ملیکہ کے واسطہ سے عائشہ سے روایت کی ہے، ۳- ایسے ہی یہ حدیث متعدد لوگوں نے ابن ابی ملیکہ سے عائشہ سے روایت کی ہے۔ لیکن ان لوگوں نے اپنی اپنی روایات میں ”قاسم بن محمد“ کا ذکر نہیں کیا ہے۔ ان کا ذکر صرف ”یزید بن ابراہیم تستری“ نے اس حدیث میں «عن القاسم» کہہ کر کیا ہے، ۴- ابن ابی ملیکہ عبداللہ بن عبیداللہ بن ابی ملیکہ ہیں، انہوں نے بھی عائشہ سے سنا ہے۔
Am-ul-Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehteen hain ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se aayat «Hu alladhi anzala alaika al-kitab minhu ayatin muhkamat» ki tafseer poochee gai to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne farmaya: “Jab tum in logoon ko aayatin mutashabahat ke peeche pare hue dekhon to samajh lo ke yehi woh log hain jin ka Allah ne naam liya hai aur aise logoon se bacho”۔ Imam Tirmidhi kehteen hain: 1. Yeh Hadith Hasan Sahih hai, 2. Yeh Hadith Ayyub se bhi marwi hai, aur Ayyub ne Ibn Abi Maleeka ke waseela se Ayesha se riwayat ki hai, 3. Aise hi yeh Hadith mutaaddid logon ne Ibn Abi Maleeka se Ayesha se riwayat ki hai. Lekin in logon ne apni apni riwayaton mein “Qasim bin Muhammad” ka zikr nahi kiya hai. In ka zikr sirf “Yazid bin Ibrahim Tastari” ne is Hadith mein «An al-Qasim» keh kar kiya hai, 4. Ibn Abi Maleeka Abdullah bin Ubaidullah bin Abi Maleeka hain, unhon ne bhi Ayesha se suna hai.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: هُوَ الَّذِي أَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ آيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ سورة آل عمران آية 7 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِذَا رَأَيْتُمُ الَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ فَأُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ سَمَّاهُمُ اللَّهُ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ ، قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ، وَرُوِي عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، هَكَذَا رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، وَابْنُ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ سَمِعَ مِنْ عَائِشَةَ أَيْضًا.
