Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2995

Abdullah (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, ‘every Prophet had a Wali among the Prophets. My Wali is my father Ibrahim () the Khalil of my Lord.’ Then he recited, [Certainly, among all the people who have the best claim about Ibrahiؑ ( عليهالسالم) are those who followed hiؑ, (they are) this Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and the believers; and Allah is the guardian of the believers.] (Aal-i-Imran - 68). There is another chain of narrators of this Hadith from Abdullah ( رضئ هللاتعالی عنہ) from the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) with siؑilar narration, but in it, the narrator did not say, ‘froؑ Masruq.’ Iؑaؑ Tirؑidhi said this is ؑore correct than the narration of Abu Ad-Duha from Masruq (narrators in the chain). Abu Ad-Duha's name is Muslim bin Subaih.

عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا: ”ہر نبی کا نبیوں میں سے کوئی نہ کوئی دوست ہوتا ہے، اور میرے دوست میرے باپ اور میرے رب کے گہرے دوست ابراہیم ہیں۔ پھر آپ نے آیت «إن أولى الناس بإبراهيم للذين اتبعوه وهذا النبي والذين آمنوا والله ولي المؤمنين» ۱؎ پڑھی“۔

Abdullah bin Masood raziallahu anhu kehte hain keh Rasool Allah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: “Har nabi ka nabiyon mein se koi na koi dost hota hai, aur mere dost mere baap aur mere Rab ke gehre dost Ibrahim hain.” Phir aap ne aayat «Inna awla alnnasi bi Ibrahima lal lazeena ittabaAAoohu wa hatha alnnabiyyu wa allazeena aamanoo wa Allahu waliyyu almumineen» padhi.

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ وُلَاةً مِنَ النَّبِيِّينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَإِنَّ وَلِيِّي أَبِي وَخَلِيلُ رَبِّي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَرَأَ إِنَّ أَوْلَى النَّاسِ بِإِبْرَاهِيمَ لَلَّذِينَ اتَّبَعُوهُ وَهَذَا النَّبِيُّ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَاللَّهُ وَلِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سورة آل عمران آية 68 ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَمْ يَقُلْ فِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الضُّحَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَبُو الضُّحَى اسْمُهُ مُسْلِمُ بْنُ صُبَيْحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي نُعَيْمٍ وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ.
