Umar ibn al-Khattab appointed Hakam ibn Amr al-Ghifari as the governor of Khorasan. Imran ibn Husain desired to meet him and went to his doorstep. He said, "I wished to meet you. Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying, 'There is no obedience to a created being in disobedience of Allah?'" Hakam replied, "Yes." Upon this Imran exclaimed, "Allahu Akbar!"

زیادنے حکم بن عمروغفاری کو خراسان کا گورنر مقرر کردیا حضرت عمران کو ان سے ملنے کی خواہش پیدا ہوئی اور وہ ان کے گھر کے دروازے پر ملے اور کہا کہ مجھے آپ سے ملنے کی خواہش تھی کیا آپ نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اللہ کی نافرمانی میں کسی مخلوق کی اطاعت نہیں ہے؟ حکم نے فرمایا جی ہاں اس پر حضرت عمران نے اللہ اکبر کہا۔

Abdullah bin Samit narrated that Ziyad wanted to appoint Imran bin Husain as the governor of Khurasan, but he refused. His friends said to him, "Are you refusing to be the governor of Khurasan?" He said, "By Allah, I do not like that I should suffer its heat and you should suffer its cold. I fear that if I am facing the enemy and a letter from Ziyad comes to me, if I implement it, I will be destroyed, and if I do not implement it, my head will be cut off." Then Ziyad wanted to appoint Hukm bin Amr al-Ghifari to this post, and he agreed. When Imran bin Husain came to know of this, he said, "Someone should go and call Hukm to me." So, a messenger went and brought Hukm. When he entered his house, Imran asked him, "Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say that there is no obedience to anyone in disobedience to Allah?" He replied, "Yes." Imran thanked Allah and said, "Allahu Akbar."

عبداللہ بن صامت کہتے ہیں کہ زیاد نے حضرت عمران بن حصین کو خراسان کا گورنر مقرر کرنا چاہا لیکن انہوں نے انکار کردیا ان کے دوستوں نے ان سے کہا تم خراسان کا گورنر بننے سے انکار کررہے ہو؟ انہوں نے فرمایا کہ واللہ مجھے یہ بات پسند نہیں ہے کہ میں اس کی گرمی کا شکار ہوجاؤں اور تم اس کی سردی کا شکار ہوجاؤ مجھے اندیشہ ہے کہ اگر میں دشمن کے سامنے ہوا اور میرے پاس زیاد کا کوئی خط آجائے اب اگر میں اسے نافذ کروں تو ہلاک ہوتاہوں اور اگر نافذ نہ کروں تو میری گردن اڑادی جائے۔ پھر زیاد نے حکم بن عمرو غفاری کو اس پر مقرر کرنا چاہا تو وہ تیار ہوگئے حضرت عمران بن حصین کو معلوم ہوا تو فرمایا کہ کوئی آدمی جا کر حضرت حکم کو میرے پاس بلا لائے چنانچہ ایک قاصد گیا اور حضرت حکم آگئے وہ ان کے گھر میں آئے تو حضرت عمران نے ان سے پوچھا کہ کیا آپ نے نبی ﷺ کو یہ فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ اللہ کی نافرمانی میں کسی کی اطاعت نہیں ہے انہوں نے فرمایا کہ جی ہاں تو حضرت عمران نے اللہ کا شکر ادا کیا اور اللہ اکبر کہا۔
Abdullah bin Samat kehte hain ke ziyad ne Hazrat Imran bin Husain ko Khorasan ka governor muqarrar karna chaha lekin unhon ne inkar kardiya un ke doston ne un se kaha tum Khorasan ka governor banne se inkar kar rahe ho unhon ne farmaya ke wallah mujhe ye baat pasand nahin hai ke main is ki garmi ka shikar ho jaon aur tum is ki sardi ka shikar ho jao mujhe andesha hai ke agar main dushman ke samne hua aur mere pass ziyad ka koi khat aa jaye ab agar main ise nafiz karoon to halaak hota hoon aur agar nafiz na karoon to meri gardan urra di jaye phir ziyad ne Hukm bin Amr Ghaffari ko is par muqarrar karna chaha to woh tayyar ho gaye Hazrat Imran bin Husain ko maloom hua to farmaya ke koi aadmi ja kar Hazrat Hukm ko mere pass bula laye chunancha ek qasid gaya aur Hazrat Hukm aa gaye woh un ke ghar mein aaye to Hazrat Imran ne un se poocha ke kya aap ne Nabi (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko ye farmate huye suna hai ke Allah ki nafarmani mein kisi ki itaat nahin hai unhon ne farmaya ke ji haan to Hazrat Imran ne Allah ka shukar ada kiya aur Allah Akbar kaha.
It is narrated on the authority of Hukm bin Amr that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade men from performing ablution with the leftover water of a woman.

حضرت حکم بن عمرو سے مروی ہے کہ نبی ﷺ نے عورت کے چھوڑے ہوئے پانی سے مرد کو وضو کرنے سے منع فرمایا ہے۔

Umar appointed Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman al-Ghifari as the governor of Khurasan. Imran wished to meet him and went to his house. He met him at the door and said, “I wished to see you. Did you hear the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, saying, 'There is no obedience to a creature in disobedience to Allah?'” Hudhayfah said, “Yes.” Imran said, “Allahu akbar!”

It is narrated on the authority of Hukm bin Amr that once, I and my brother Rafi bin Amr went to Amir-ul-Momineen Umar Farooq. I had applied henna and my brother had applied yellow dye. Umar said to me, "This is the dye of Islam," and to my brother Rafi he said, "This is the dye of faith."

حضرت حکم بن عمرو سے مروی ہے کہ ایک مرتبہ میں اور میرا بھائی رافع بن عمر و امیرالمؤمنین حضرت عمر فاروق کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے میں نے مہندی کا خضاب کیا ہوا تھا اور میرے بھائی نے زرد رنگ کا تو حضرت عمر نے مجھ سے فرمایا یہ اسلام کا خضاب ہے اور میرے بھائی رافع سے فرمایا کہ یہ ایمان کا خضاب ہے۔
Hazrat Hukm bin Amro se marvi hai keh ek martaba main aur mera bhai Rafi bin Umar o Ameerul Momineen Hazrat Umar Farooq ki khidmat main hazir huye main ne mehendi ka khuzab kiya hua tha aur mere bhai ne zard rang ka to Hazrat Umar ne mujh se farmaya yeh Islam ka khuzab hai aur mere bhai Rafi se farmaya keh yeh emaan ka khuzab hai.
Umar appointed Hakim bin Amr al-Ghifari as governor of Khorasan. Imran wished to meet him so he met him at the door of his house and said, "I wanted to meet you. Did you hear the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say, 'Obedience is not to be offered to any creation if it involves disobedience to Allah'?" Hakim said, "Yes." Imran said, "That is the hadith I wanted to remind you of.”
