Chapter on what should be exchanged from sacrifices if it becomes defective or lost.
باب الهدي الذي أصله تطوع إذا ساقه فعطب فأدرك ذكاته نحره وصنع به
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 10248
(10248) Musa bin Salamah Hazli narrates that he and Sinan bin Salamah went for Umrah. Sinan took his sacrificial animal with him. The animal got tired due to the journey. He became very worried about its condition. If it got tired, how would he bring it? He said: If I reach the city, I will inquire about it. He said: When we reached the valley of Bat'ha, Musa bin Salamah said: Let's go to Ibn Abbas (RA). We will tell him our situation. Musa said that Sinan narrated the story of his sacrificial animal. He (Ibn Abbas) said: You have asked the question to the one who knows. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent 16 sacrificial animals with a man, He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) instructed him about them. He went, then came back, and said: O Messenger of Allah! What should I do if an animal gets tired? He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Slaughter it, then dip its collar and shoes in its blood and put them on its neck. Neither you nor any of your companions should eat it.
(B) Musaddad narrated from Abdul Warith that there were 18 sacrificial animals. This is correct.

(١٠٢٤٨ ) موسیٰ بن سلمہ ہذلی فرماتے ہیں کہ میں اور سنان بن سلمہ دونوں عمرہ کے لیے نکلے۔ سنان اپنے ساتھ اپنی (قربانی) کو لے کر چلے قربانی سفر کی وجہ سے تھک گئی وہ اس کی حالت سے بڑے فکر مند ہوئے۔ اگر وہ تھک گئی تو اس کو کیسے لائیں گے۔ اس نے کہا : اگر میں شہر آیا تو اس کے بارے میں خود پوچھ تاچھ کروں گا۔ کہتے ہیں : جب ہم بطحا وادی میں آئے ، موسیٰ بن سلمہ کہنے لگے : ابن عباس (رض) کے پاس چلو۔ ہم انھیں اپنا واقع بیان کرتے ہیں۔ موسیٰ کہتے ہیں کہ سنان نے اپنی قربانی کا قصہ سنایا، فرمانے لگے : تو نے جاننے والے سے ہی مسئلہ پوچھا ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک آدمی کے ساتھ ١٦ قربانیاں روانہ کیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کے بارے میں حکم دیا وہ چلا، پھر واپس آیا، کہنے لگا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! اگر کوئی سواری تھک جائے تو پھر میں کیا کروں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نحر کر، پھر اس کے قلادے والے جوتے اس کے خون میں رنگ کر اس کی گردن پر رکھ نہ تو اور نہ تیرے ساتھیوں میں سے کوئی اس کو کھائے۔
(ب) مسدد عبدالوارث سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ١٨ قربانیاں تھیں۔ یہ صحیح ہے۔
(10248) Musa bin Salma Hazli farmate hain keh main aur Sinan bin Salma dono Umrah ke liye nikle. Sinan apne sath apni (qurbani) ko lekar chale qurbani safar ki wajah se thakgayi woh uski halat se bare fikarmand hue. Agar woh thakgayi to usko kaise layenge. Usne kaha: Agar main shehar aya to uske bare mein khud puchtach karoonga. Kehte hain: Jab hum Batha wadi mein aye, Musa bin Salma kehne lage: Ibn Abbas (Raz) ke pass chalo. Hum unhen apna waqea bayan karte hain. Musa kehte hain keh Sinan ne apni qurbani ka qissa sunaya, farmane lage: Tu ne janne wale se hi masla pucha hai keh Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne ek aadmi ke sath 16 qurbaniyan rawana kin, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne unke bare mein hukm diya woh chala, phir wapas aya, kehne laga: Aye Allah ke Rasool! Agar koi sawari thakgaye to phir main kya karoon, Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Nahar kar, phir uske qilade wale jute uske khoon mein rang kar uski gardan par rakh na tu aur na tere sathiyon mein se koi usko khaye.
(b) Musaddad Abdul Waris se bayan karte hain keh 18 qurbaniyan thin. Yeh sahih hai.
Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent 18 sacrifices with a man. He narrated a similar narration from Abd al-Warith, but did not mention the story, and instead of the word "Abda", he used the word "Azhaf".

(١٠٢٤٩ ) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایک آدمی کے ساتھ ١٨ قربانیاں روانہ کیں، عبدالوارث کی حدیث کے مثل ذکر کیا ہے، لیکن قصہ ذکر نہیں کیا، اور ابدع کی جگہ ازحف کے لفظ بولے ہیں۔
Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne ek aadmi ke sath 18 qurbanian rawana kin, Abdul Waris ki hadees ke misl zikr kiya hai, lekin qissa zikr nahin kiya, aur abda ki jagah azhaf ke lafz bole hain.
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Dhu'ayb informed him that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent two sacrificial camels with him and commanded: "If they are about to die, then slaughter them, dye their shoes (meaning their collars) in their blood and put them on their necks. Then leave them for the people, do not give any verdict (regarding them) and do not eat from them, neither you nor those with you."

(١٠٢٥٠ ) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ذوئب نے ان کو خبر دی کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کے ساتھ دو اونٹ قربانی کے لیے روانہ کیے اور حکم دیا اگر یہ ہلاک ہونے لگے تو ان کو نحر کردینا اور ان دونوں کے جوتے (یعنی قلادہ والے) ان کے خون میں رنگ کر ان کی گردنوں پر رکھ دینا۔ اس کو اور لوگوں کو چھوڑ دو، کسی بھی معاملہ کا حکم نہیں دینا اور بذات خود اور اس کے ساتھ والے اس سے کچھ نہ کھائیں۔
(10250) Ibne Abbas (Razi Allah Anhu) farmate hain ke Zoaib ne un ko khabar di ke Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne un ke sath do unt qurbani ke liye rawana kiye aur hukm diya agar ye halak hone lage to in ko nahr kar dena aur in donon ke joote (yani qilada wale) in ke khoon mein rang kar in ki gardnon par rakh dena. Iss ko aur logon ko chhor do, kisi bhi mamle ka hukm nahi dena aur bizat khud aur iss ke sath wale iss se kuch na khayen.
Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Dhuwaib Khuza'i told him that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sent a sacrificial camel with him and instructed: "If it seems about to die, then slaughter it, dye its shoes in its blood, put them around its neck, and do not eat from it yourself nor let anyone with you eat from it, but distribute it."
'Abd al-'Ala' narrated from Sa'id ibn Abi 'Arubah with a similar wording but without the phrase "nor let anyone with you".

(١٠٢٥١ ) ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ذوائب خزاعی نے انھیں بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کے ساتھ قربانی کا ایک اونٹ روانہ کیا اور حکم فرمایا : اگر یہ ہلاک ہونے لگے تو نحر کردینا اور اس کا جوتا اس کے خون میں رنگ کر اس کی گردن پر رکھ دے اور بذات خود اور اس کے ساتھ اس سے کچھ نہ کھانا اور تقسیم کردینا۔
عبدالاعلیٰ بن عبدالاعلیٰ حضرت سعید بن ابو عروبہ سے نقل فرماتے ہیں لیکن اس میں ان یقسما کے الفاظ موجود نہیں ہیں۔
10251 Ibn Abbas (RA) farmate hain keh Zawaa'ib Khuza'i ne unhen bayan kya keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne uske sath qurbani ka ek unt rawana kya aur hukm farmaya: Agar yeh halaak hone lage to nahar kar dena aur iska joota iske khoon mein rang kar iski gardan par rakh de aur bizat khud aur iske sath is se kuch na khana aur taqseem kar dena.
Abdula'ala bin Abdula'ala Hazrat Sa'eed bin Abu 'Urwah se naql farmate hain lekin is mein 'in yaqsima' ke alfaz mojood nahin hain.
Hisham bin Urwah's father narrated from a man from the tribe of Aslam who said: O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! If the sacrificial animal becomes exhausted (while taking it to the place of sacrifice), what should I do? He (ﷺ) said: Slaughter it, and dip your shoes in its blood, then remove it from the way of the sacrificial animals and the people, and let them eat its meat.

(١٠٢٥٢) ہشام بن عروہ کے والد اسلم قبیلہ کے ایک آدمی سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ اس نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ! اگر قربانی تھک جائے تو کیا کروں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حکم دیا کہ وہ اس کو نحر کرے اور جوتے اس کے خون میں ڈالے۔ پھر قربانی اور لوگوں کے درمیان سے ہٹ جائے۔ وہ قربانی کا گوشت کھائیں۔
Hisham bin Urwah ke walid Aslam qabeele ke ek aadmi se naql farmate hain ke usne kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasool ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم))! Agar qurbani thak jaye to kya karoon? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne hukm diya ke woh usko nahar kare aur jute uske khoon mein dale. Phir qurbani aur logon ke darmiyan se hat jaye. Woh qurbani ka gosht khayen.
Najiyah Aslami reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, sent me off with his sacrificial animal and said, "If it should become exhausted and unable to walk, then slaughter it, then dye its shoes (anklets) in its blood, then move away from between the sacrifice and the people."

(١٠٢٥٣) ناجیہ اسلمی کہتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے میری ساتھ اپنی ہدی روانہ کی اور فرمایا : اگر ہلاک ہونے لگے تو نحر کردینا، پھر اس کے جوتے (قلادہ والے) اس کے خون میں رنگ دینا، پھر اس قربانی اور لوگوں کے درمیان سے ہٹ جانا۔
10253 Najiha Islami kehte hain ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne meri sath apni hadi rawana ki aur farmaya: Agar halaak hone lage to nahar kar dena, phir uske joote (qilaada wale) uske khoon mein rang dena, phir us qurbani aur logon ke darmiyan se hat jana.
Saeed bin Musayyab said: “If a man takes out a camel as a voluntary sacrifice and it begins to die, so he slaughters it, then he moves the sacrifice away from himself and the people so that they do not eat from it, then there is no sin on him. But if he eats from it or commands that it be eaten, then he will be punished.”

(١٠٢٥٤) سعید بن مسیب فرماتے ہیں کہ جو نفلی قربانی اونٹ کی لے کر چلا وہ ہلاک ہونے لگی تو اس نے نحر کردیا، پھر قربانی اور لوگوں کے درمیان سے ہٹ گیا تاکہ وہ اس کو کھاتے ہیں تو اس کے ذمہ کچھ نہیں۔ اگر اس نے اس سے کچھ کھایا یا کھانے کا حکم دیاتو اس کو چٹی پڑجائے گی۔
(10254) Saeed bin Musayyab farmate hain ki jo nafli qurbani unt ki le kar chala wo halak hone lagi to us ne nahr kar diya, phir qurbani aur logon ke darmiyan se hat gaya takay wo us ko khate hain to us ke zimma kuch nahin. Agar us ne us se kuch khaya ya khane ka hukam diya to us ko chatti par jaye gi.
