Jabir bin Abdullah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, went out for the battle of Hunayn and he sent a man to Safwan bin Umayyah asking him for his coats of mail. He had one hundred coats of mail. Safwan said, "O Muhammad, is this by force?" The Prophet said, "No, rather it is a loan to be repaid. We will return them to you." Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went out on the expedition.

(١١٤٧٧) جابر بن عبداللہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) حنین کی طرف نکلے، پھر آپ نے صفوان بن امیہ کی طرف ایک آدمی بھیجا اور اس سیذرعوں کا سوال کیا۔ اس کے پاس ایک سو ذرعیں تھیں۔ اس نے کہا : اے محمد ! زبردستی، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نہیں بلکہ عاریتاً ہیں لوٹائی جائیں گی۔ ہم تمہیں واپس کریں گے۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) غزوے میں چلے گئے۔
Jibir bin Abdullah se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Hunain ki taraf nikle, phir aap ne Safwan bin Umayya ki taraf ek aadmi bheja aur us se dirham ka sawal kiya. Uske pass ek sau dirham thi. Usne kaha: Aye Muhammad! Zabardasti, aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Nahi balki ariyatan hain lotai jayengi. Hum tumhen wapas karenge. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ghazwe mein chale gaye.
Umayya bin Safwan bin Umayya narrated from his father that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) borrowed armor from him on the Day of Hunayn. He (Safwan) said: "By force, O Muhammad!" He (the Prophet) said: "No, but as a loan, it will be returned."

(١١٤٧٨) امیہ بن صفوان بن امیہ اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان سے حنین کے دن عاریتاً ذرعیں لیں۔ اس (صفوان ) نے کہا : زبردستی اے محمد ! آپ نے فرمایا : نہیں بلکہ عاریتاً ، واپس کریں گے۔
Ameya bin Safwan bin Ameya apne walid se riwayat karte hain ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne unse Hunain ke din ariyatan zaraen li. Iss (Safwan) ne kaha: Zabardasti aye Muhammad! Aap ne farmaya: Nahi balki ariyatan, wapas karenge.
Ata’ bin Abi Rabah narrated from the offspring of Safwan bin Umayyah that he said, “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) borrowed weapons from Safwan bin Umayyah.” Safwan said, “Was it borrowed or taken by force?” He (ﷺ) said, “It was borrowed.” He gave him thirty or forty coats of mail. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) fought the Battle of Hunayn. When Allah defeated the polytheists, he (ﷺ) said, “Gather the coats of mail of Safwan.” The Companions were missing a few coats of mail. He (ﷺ) said to Safwan, “We will give you the option to be compensated.” He said, “O Messenger of Allah! What is in my heart today (faith) was not there on that day.”

(١١٤٧٩) عطاء بن ابی رباح صفوان بن امیہ کی اولاد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں انھوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صفوان بن امیہ سے اسلحہ عاریتاً لیا، صفوان نے کہا : عاریتاً یا زبردستی۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : عاریتاً ۔ اس نے تیس سے چالیس ذرعیں دیں۔ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے حنین کی جنگ لڑی۔ جب اللہ نے مشرکوں کو شکست دی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : صفوان کی ذرعوں کو جمع کرو۔ صحابہ نے چند ذرعیں گم پائیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے صفوان سے کہا : اگر تو چاہے تو ہم تاوان دے دیتے ہیں۔ اس نے کہا : یا رسول اللہ ! جو آج میرے دل میں ہے (ایمان ) وہ اس دن نہ تھا۔
11479 Ata bin Abi Rabah Safwan bin Umayya ki aulad se naqal farmate hain unhon ne kaha: Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Safwan bin Umayya se aslaha ariyatan liya, Safwan ne kaha: ariyatan ya zabardasti. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: ariyatan. Usne tees se chalis zarain di. Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Hunain ki jang lari. Jab Allah ne mushrikon ko shikast di to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Safwan ki zarain ko jama karo. Sahaba ne chand zarain gum payi. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne Safwan se kaha: agar tu chahe to hum tawan de dete hain. Usne kaha: Ya Rasool Allah! jo aaj mere dil mein hai (imaan) woh us din nah tha.
It is narrated from Aal-e-Safwan that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his progeny) said: "O Safwan! Do you have weapons?" Then he mentioned the hadith with the same meaning.

(١١٤٨٠) اٰل صفوان سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے صفوان ! کیا تیرے پاس اسلحہ ہے ؟ پھر اسی معنیٰ میں حدیث ذکر کی۔
Al Safwan se riwayat hai ki Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Aye Safwan! kya tere pass aslaha hai? phir isi maeny mein hadees zikr ki.
Ja'far ibn Muhammad narrated from his father that Safwan lent weapons to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and they were eighty dirhams. He said to him, "As a loan or by force?" The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "As a loan, we will return them."

(١١٤٨١) جعفر بن محمد اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ صفوان نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو عاریتاً اسلحہ دیا اور وہ ٨٠ ذرعیں تھیں۔ اس نے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے کہا : عاریتاً یا زبردستی ؟ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کہا : عاریتاً ہیں واپس کریں گے۔
(11481) Jaffar bin Muhammad apne walid se naql farmate hain ki Safwan ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko ariyatan aslaha diya aur wo 80 zarayeen thin. Usne aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se kaha: ariyatan ya zabardasti? Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kaha: ariyatan hain wapas karenge.
Narrated Samura: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: It is obligatory upon the hand to pay what it has taken. Then Hasan (the narrator) forgot (some of the Hadith). (Later on he said): It (hand) is a trustee, not a guarantor.

(١١٤٨٢) حضرت سمرہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ہاتھ پر لازم ہے جو اس نے لیا اسے ادا کر دے۔ پھر حسن (راوی) حدیث بھول گئے۔ فرمایا : وہ تیرا امانت دار ہے ضامن نہیں ہے۔
Hazrat Samara se riwayat hai ki Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : Hath par lazim hai jo usne liya use ada kar de. Phir Hassan (rawi) hadees bhul gaye. Farmaya : Wo tera amanatdaar hai zaamin nahi hai.
(11485) A man borrowed a camel from another man, then it died. He was brought to Marwan. Marwan sent him to Abu Hurairah (RA), he said: He is responsible.

(١١٤٨٥) ایک آدمی نے دوسرے آدمی سے اونٹ مستعار لیا ، پھر وہ ہلاک ہوگیا۔ اسے مروان کے پاس لایا گیا۔ مروان نے حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) کے پاس بھیجا، آپ نے فرمایا : وہ ذمہ دار ہے۔
(11485) aik aadmi ne dusre aadmi se ont mustaar liya, phir woh halaak hogaya. use marwan ke paas laya gaya. marwan ne hazrat abuhuraira (rz) ke paas bheja, aap ne farmaya : woh zimmedar hai.
