Chapter on One Who Touches Something with His Hand or Gestures to Another in His Prayer
باب من تناول في صلاته شيئا بيده أو غمز غيره
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 3426
(3426) (a) Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was offering prayer and we heard him say thrice, "I seek refuge with Allah from you." Then he said: "May Allah's curse be on you," thrice and stretched his hands as if catching hold of something. When he (ﷺ) finished the prayer, we said: Messenger of Allah, we heard you uttering words in the prayer which we did not hear you utter before this, and we saw you stretching your hands in the prayer. Thereupon he said: Allah's enemy Iblis - may Allah curse him - came with a live coal to put it in my face, so I sought refuge with Allah from him thrice, then I said: May Allah's curse be on you. Still he did not retreat, so I intended to seize him. Had it not been for the supplication of our brother Sulaiman (peace be upon him), I would have bound him so that the children of Medina might have played with him.
(b) A hadith like this has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (RA) through a different chain of narrators in connection with the problem of funeral prayers.

(٣٤٢٦) (ا) سیدنا ابود رداء (رض) بیان کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز پڑھ رہے تھے ہم نے سنا کہ آپ نے تین مرتبہ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّہِ مِنْکَ پڑھا۔ پھر فرمایا : میں تجھ پر اللہ کی لعنت کرتا ہوں۔ یہ کلمات بھی تین بار کہے اور اپنے ہاتھ پھیلائے ، گویا کوئی چیز پکڑ رہے ہیں۔ جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو ہم نے عرض کیا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! ہم نے نماز میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو کچھ ایسے کلمات کہتے سنا، جو اس سے پہلے آپ نہیں کہا کرتے تھے اور ہم نے آپ کو نماز میں ہاتھ پھیلائے دیکھا ہے ؟ تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ کا دشمن ابلیس اللہ کی اس پر پھٹکار پڑے وہ آگ کا شعلہ لے کر آیا تھا، تاکہ میرے چہرے کے سامنے ڈال دے تو میں نے تین بار اعوذ باللہ منک پڑھا، پھر کہا : میں تجھ پر اللہ کی لعنت بھیجتا ہوں پھر بھی وہ پیچھے نہ ہٹا تو میں نے ارادہ کیا کہ اس کو پکڑ لوں۔ اگر ہمارے بھائی سلیمان (علیہ السلام) کی دعا نہ ہوئی تو میں اسے پکڑ کر باندھ لیتاتا کہ اہل مدینہ کے بچے اس سے کھیلتے۔
(ب) ابوہریرہ (رض) سے اس کے ہم معنی حدیث فوت ہونے والی قضاء نمازوں کے مسئلے میں گزر چکی ہے۔
(3426) (a) Syedna Abu Hurairah (RA) bayan karte hain keh Rasul Allah (SAW) namaz parh rahe thy hum ne suna keh aap ne teen martaba A'udhu billahi mink parha. Phir farmaya: mein tujh par Allah ki laanat karta hun. Yeh kalimat bhi teen bar kahe aur apne hath phelaye, goya koi cheez pakar rahe hain. Jab aap (SAW) namaz se farigh huye to hum ne arz kiya: aye Allah ke Rasul! Hum ne namaz mein aap (SAW) ko kuch aise kalimat kehte suna, jo is se pehle aap nahin kaha karte thy aur hum ne aap ko namaz mein hath phelaye dekha hai? To aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Allah ka dushman Iblees Allah ki is par phatkar pare woh aag ka shola lekar aaya tha, taake mere chehre ke samne daal de to mein ne teen bar A'udhu billahi mink parha, phir kaha: mein tujh par Allah ki laanat bhejta hun phir bhi woh peeche na hata to mein ne irada kiya keh usko pakar lun. Agar humare bhai Sulaiman (AS) ki dua na hui hoti to mein use pakar kar bandh leta taake Ahl-e-Madinah ke bache us se khelte.
(b) Abu Hurairah (RA) se is ke hum ma'ani hadees faut hone wali qaza namazon ke masle mein guzar chuki hai.
(3427) (a) Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Once I was praying when a devil started quarreling with me. I caught him and squeezed his throat. If it were not for the prayer of my brother Solomon (peace be upon him), I would have tied him to a pillar so that the people could see him or you could see him.
(b) The hadith of Ibn Abbas (RA) is about the prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at the time of the solar eclipse. I saw Paradise or he said: I was shown Paradise and I was about to take a bunch of grapes from it.

(٣٤٢٧) (ا) سیدنا ابوہریرہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ایک دفعہ میں نماز پڑھ رہا تھا کہ ایک شیطان مجھ سے جھگڑنے لگا ، میں نے اس کو پکڑ کر اس کا گلا دبایا۔ اگر میرے بھائی سلیمان (علیہ السلام) کی دعا نہ ہوتی تو میں اس کو کسی ستون کے ساتھ باندھ دیتا تاکہ لوگ اسے دیکھ لیتے یا تم اس کو دیکھ پاتے۔
(ب) ابن عباس (رض) کی حدیث نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی نماز کسوف کے بارے میں ہے کہ میں نے جنت دیکھی یا فرمایا : مجھے جنت دکھلائی گئی تو میں اس سے ایک خوشہ لینے لگا تھا۔
3427 a Sayyidina Abu Huraira RA se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah SAW ne farmaya ek dafa main namaz parh raha tha ki ek shaitan mujhse jhagadne laga main ne usko pakad kar uska gala dabaya agar mere bhai Sulaiman AS ki dua na hoti to main usko kisi satoon ke sath bandh deta taake log use dekh lete ya tum usko dekh pate
b Ibn Abbas RA ki hadees Nabi SAW ki namaz kusuf ke bare mein hai ki maine jannat dekhi ya farmaya mujhe jannat dikhlai gai to main usse ek khusha lene laga tha
The Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) wife, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates, “I used to sleep in front of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and my legs would be in the direction of his qibla (direction of prayer). When he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would prostrate, he would signal me and I would draw my legs back. And when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would stand, I would stretch them out again. In those days, there were no lamps in the houses."

(٣٤٢٨) نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی زوجہ محترمہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے سامنے سو رہی ہوتی تھی اور میری ٹانگیں رسول اللہ کے قبلہ کی طرف میں رکاوٹ تھیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) جب سجدہ کرتے تو مجھے اشارہ کردیتے، میں اپنی ٹانگیں سمیٹ لیتی اور جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کھڑے ہوجاتے تو میں انھیں پھر پھیلا لیتی، ان دنوں گھروں میں چراغ نہیں ہوا کرتے تھے۔
(3428) Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ki zojah mohtarma Syeda Ayesha (RA) bayan karti hain keh mein Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke samne so rahi hoti thi aur meri taangein Rasul Allah ke qibla ki taraf mein rukawat thin. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) jab sajda karte to mujhe ishara karte, mein apni taangein samet leti aur jab aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kharay hojate to mein unhein phir phela leti, un dino gharon mein charagh nahin jala karte thay.
Narrated by the freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), Kuraib, that Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) informed him that he had spent the night at the house of his maternal aunt, Ummul Mu'minin Sayyidah Maimunah (may Allah be pleased with her)... Then he narrated the Hadith regarding the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) staying, performing ablution, and his prayer. Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I also stood up and did whatever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did, then I stood on his left side. He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) placed his right hand on my head, then he took hold of my right ear and rubbed it.

(٣٤٢٩) سیدنا ابن عباس (رض) کے آزاد کردہ غلام کریب سے روایت ہے کہ ابن عباس (رض) نے انھیں خبر دی کہ میں نے اپنی خالہ ام المومنین سیدہ میمونہ (رض) کے ہاں رات گزاری۔۔۔ پھر انھوں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے قیام، وضو اور آپ کی نماز کے متعلق حدیث بیان کی۔ عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں : میں بھی اٹھ کھڑا ہوا جو جو کام رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کیے میں بھی کرنے لگا، پھر میں آپ کی بائیں جانب کھڑا ہوگیا۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اپنا داہنا ہاتھ میرے سر پر رکھا، پھر میرے داہنے کان کو پکڑا اور آپ اس کو مڑور رہے تھے۔
(3429) Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) ke azad kardah ghulam Kareeb se riwayat hai ki Ibn Abbas (RA) ne unhen khabar di ki maine apni khala Ummul Momineen Sayyida Maymoonah (RA) ke han raat guzari... phir unhon ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke qayam, wazu aur aap ki namaz ke mutalliq hadees bayan ki. Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) farmate hain: main bhi uth khada hua jo jo kaam Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kiye main bhi karne laga, phir main aap ki bayein janib khada hogaya. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne apna dahina hath mere sar par rakha, phir mere dahine kaan ko pakra aur aap isko masal rahe thay.
