Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came from a journey and I had hung a curtain on an alcove in which there were pictures. When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saw the curtain, he tore it down and said, "The people who will receive the most severe punishment on the Day of Resurrection will be those who try to imitate the creation of Allah." She said, "Then we cut it up and made one or two cushions out of it."

(١٤٥٧٣) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سفر سے آئے تو میں نے ایک طاقچہ پر پردہ ڈال رکھا تھا، جس میں تصاویر تھیں، جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس پردہ کو دیکھا تو پھاڑ ڈالا اور فرمایا : قیامت کے دن سب سے زیادہ سخت عذاب اس کو ہوگا جو اللہ کی پیدائش کی مشابہت کرتے ہیں۔ فرماتے ہیں : پھر ہم نے کاٹ کر ایک یا دو تکیے بنا لیے۔
hazrat ayesha (rz) farmati hain ki rasool allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) safar se aye to maine ek takche par parda daal rakha tha, jis mein tasaveer thin, jab aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne is parde ko dekha to phaar daala aur farmaya : qayamat ke din sab se zyada sakht azab is ko hoga jo allah ki paidaish ki mushabbat karte hain. farmate hain : phir hum ne kaat kar ek ya do takiya bana liye.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that I had hung a curtain with pictures on it, so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) cut it and made two cushions out of it. From the gathering, Rabiah bin Ataa, who was from the slaves of Banu Zahra, stood up and said: Did you hear from Abu Muhammad, while he was narrating from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to lean on both of them? So Ibn Qasim said: No, rather he intended that it was Qasim bin Muhammad.

(١٤٥٧٤) حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں کہ میں نے تصاویر والا پردہ لٹکا رکھا تھا تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے کاٹ کر دو تکیے بنا دیے۔ مجلس سے ربیعہ بن عطاء جو بنو زہرہ کے غلام تھے کھڑے ہوئے اور کہنے لگے : کیا آپ نے ابو محمد سے سنا وہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے ذکر کرتے تھے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ان دونوں پر ٹیک لگاتے تھے تو ابن قاسم کہتے ہیں : نہیں بلکہ ان کا ارادہ تھا کہ قاسم بن محمد تھے۔
Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) farmati hain keh maine tasaveer wala pardeh latka rakha tha to Rasool Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne kaat kar do takiya bana diye. Majlis se Rabia bin Ata jo Banu Zahra ke ghulam thay khade hue aur kehne lage: kya aap ne Abu Muhammad se suna woh Hazrat Ayesha (Raz) se zikar karte thay keh aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) in donon per tek lagate thay to Ibn e Qasim kehte hain: nahi balkeh unka iradah tha keh Qasim bin Muhammad thay.
Qasim ibn Muhammad reported from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered her house and there was a curtain with pictures on it. She said: I recognized anger on his face. Then he came and tore it down. She said: I divided it into two cushions and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would recline on both of them in the house.

(١٤٥٧٥) قاسم بن محمد حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) حضرت عائشہ (رض) کے گھر آئے تو وہاں تصاویر والا پردہ تھا، فرماتی ہیں : میں نے آپ کے چہرہ سے غصہ کو پہچان لیا۔ پھر آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے آکر پھاڑ ڈالا۔ فرماتی ہیں : میں نے اس کو دو تکیوں میں تقسیم کردیا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ان دونوں پر گھر میں ٹیک لگاتے تھے۔
Qasim bin Muhammad Hazrat Ayesha (RA) se naqal farmate hain ke aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) Hazrat Ayesha (RA) ke ghar aye to wahan tasaveer wala parda tha, farmati hain : maine aap ke chehre se ghusse ko pehchan liya. Phir aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aakar phaar dala. Farmati hain : maine is ko do takion mein taqseem kar diya aur aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) in dono par ghar mein teak lagate thay.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Gabriel came to me and said: ‘I did not come to you last night because there was a picture of a man on the door of the house, and there were pictures on the curtain, and there was a puppy in the house. So order the head of the pictures in the house to be cut off, and order the curtain to be cut up and made into cushions to be sat on and walked over, and order the puppy to be taken out of the house.’ So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did that.” The dog or puppy belonged to Hasan and Husayn, and the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) ordered it to be taken out.

(١٤٥٧٦) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میرے پاس جبرائیل آئے اور فرمایا : میں گزشتہ رات اس وجہ سے نہ آیا کہ گھر کے دروازے پر مرد کی تصویر اور پردہ پر تصاویر تھیں اور گھر میں کتیا کا بچہ تھا تو گھر کی تصاویر کے سر کاٹنے کا حکم دیں اور پردہ کو کاٹ کر تکیے بنانے کا حکم فرمائیں، جن کو روندا جائے اور کتیا کے بچے کو گھر سے نکالنے کا حکم دیں تو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ایسے ہی کیا۔ وہ کتا یا کتے کا بچہ حسن و حسین کا تھا تو نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کو نکالنے کا حکم فرمایا۔
(14576) Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain keh Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Mere pass Jibraeel (AS) aaye aur farmaya: Mein guzastha raat iss wajah se na aaya keh ghar ke darwaze par mard ki tasveer aur parde par tasveerein thin aur ghar mein kutte ka bachcha tha to ghar ki tasveeron ke sar kaatne ka hukm dein aur parde ko kaat kar takiya banane ka hukm farmaein, jin ko ronda jaye aur kutte ke bachche ko ghar se nikalne ka hukm dein to Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne aise hi kiya. Woh kutta ya kutte ka bachcha Hassan o Hussain ka tha to Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne usko nikalne ka hukm farmaya.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that Jibril (Gabriel), the trustworthy, came and greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) recognized his voice and said, "Come in." He said, "There is a curtain on the wall of the house on which there are pictures. Cut off their heads and make mats or cushions out of them and trample on them, because we do not enter a house in which there are pictures."

(١٤٥٧٧) حضرت ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت جبرائیل امین نے آکر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو سلام کیا، نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے ان کی آواز پہچان لی، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : داخل ہوجاؤ تو وہ کہنے لگے : گھر کی دیوار پر پردہ تھا جس میں تصویریں تھیں۔ ان کے سر کاٹ کر چٹائی یا تکیے بنا لو اور ان کو روندو۔ کیونکہ ہم تصاویر والے گھر نہیں آتے۔
(14577) Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) farmate hain ke Hazrat Jibraeel Amin ne aakar Nabi (SAW) ko salam kiya, Nabi (SAW) ne unki awaz pehchan li, Aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Dakhil ho jao to woh kehne lage: Ghar ki diwar par parda tha jis mein tasveerein thin. Un ke sar kaat kar chatai ya takiye bana lo aur un ko rondo. Kyunki hum tasveeron wale ghar nahin aate.
(14579) Said bin Abu Hasan narrates that a person came to Abdullah bin Abbas (R.A.) and said: "Making pictures is my profession, I earn my living from it." So, Ibn Abbas (R.A.) said: "Come closer to me; because I heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: 'Whoever makes a picture in the world, on the Day of Resurrection he will be tasked to breathe the soul into it, while he will not be able to breathe the soul.'" The person argued more, so he (R.A.) said: "Then be ruined! If you are going to make them, then make pictures of trees, in which there is no soul."

(١٤٥٧٩) سعید بن ابو حسن فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) کے پاس آیا اور کہنے لگا : تصاویر بنانا میرا پیشہ ہے، میں اس سے روزی کماتا ہوں تو ابن عباس (رض) نے فرمایا : میرے قریب ہو جاؤ؛ کیونکہ میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سنا ہے کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : جس نے دنیا میں تصویر بنائی قیامت کے دن اس کو مکلف ٹھہرایا جائے گا کہ وہ اس میں روح پھونکے حالانکہ وہ روح پھونک نہ سکے گا۔ اس شخص نے زیادہ بحث کی تو فرمانے لگے : تو ہلاک ہو اگر بنانی ہیں تو درختوں کی تصاویر بنا لیا کرو جس میں روح نہیں ہوتی۔
Saeed bin Abu Hasan farmate hain ki aik shakhs Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) ke paas aya aur kehne laga: Tasaveer banana mera pesha hai, main is se rozi kamata hun to Ibn Abbas (RA) ne farmaya: Mere qareeb ho jao; kyunki maine Rasulullah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se suna hai ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Jisne duniya mein tasveer banai qayamat ke din us ko mukallaf thehraya jayega ki woh is mein rooh phoonkay halanki woh rooh phoonk na sakega. Is shakhs ne zyada bahes ki to farmane lage: To halaak ho agar banani hain to darakhton ki tasaveer bana liya karo jis mein rooh nahi hoti.
Ikrima narrated from Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that a picture is only a picture if it has a head. When the head is cut off, it is no longer a picture.

(١٤٥٨٠) عکرمہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ تصویر سر ہی تو ہے جب سر کاٹ دیا جائے تو وہ تصویر نہیں ہوتی۔
(14580) Akrma Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) se naql farmate hain ki tasveer sar hi to hai jab sar kaat diya jaye to wo tasveer nahi hoti.
١٤٥٨٠ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نا سَهْلُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، نا وَهْبٌ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ،عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ:" الصُّورَةُ الرَّأْسُ فَإِذَا قُطِعَ الرَّأْسُ فَلَيْسَ بِصُورَةٍ "

Ikrimah disliked hanging pictures, but he saw no harm in those that were trampled underfoot.

(١٤٥٨١) حضرت عکرمہ لٹکائی گئی تصاویر کو ناپسند کرتے تھے لیکن جو پاؤں میں روندی جائیں ان میں کوئی حرج محسوس نہ کرتے تھے۔
Hazrat Akrma latkai gai tasaveer ko napasand karte thay laikin jo paon mein rondi jayen in mein koi harj mehsoos na karte thay.
Masur bin Mukhrama (RA) went to visit Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) while he was ill. He saw Abdullah wearing fine clothing, meaning silk, and said, "O Ibn Abbas! What is this cloth?" Ibn Abbas (RA) said, "What is it?" He said, "Silk." He said, "It is not permissible for the arrogant." Masur then asked, "What are these images on the carpet?" Ibn Abbas (RA) replied, "I will burn it with fire." When Masur left, Ibn Abbas (RA) said, "Take this carpet or cloth away from me. Cut off the heads of these images." So they cut them off.

(١٤٥٨٢) حضرت مسور بن مخرمہ حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس (رض) کی بیمار پرسی کے لیے گئے تو ان پر مزین قسم کا لباس دیکھا یعنی ریشم کا تو کہنے لگے : اے ابن عباس ! یہ کیا کپڑا ہے ؟ ابن عباس (رض) فرماتے ہیں : وہ کیا ہے ؟ فرمایا : ریشم۔ فرمانے لگے : تکبر کرنے والے کے لیے جائز نہیں ہے۔ کہنے لگے : یہ قالین پر کیسی تصاویر ہیں ؟ فرمانے لگے : میں اس کو آگ سے جلا دوں گا۔ جب مسور چلے گئے تو ابن عباس (رض) فرمانے لگے : اس قالین یا کپڑے کو مجھ سے دورلے جاؤ۔ ان تصاویر کے سر کاٹ دو تو انھوں نے کاٹ ڈالے۔
14582 Hazrat Masoor bin Mukhram Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas (Razi) ki bemar porsi ke liye gaye to un par mazeen qisam ka libas dekha yani resham ka to kehne lage: Aye Ibn Abbas! Yeh kya kapra hai? Ibn Abbas (Razi) farmate hain: Woh kya hai? Farmaya: Resham. Farmane lage: Takabbur karne wale ke liye jaiz nahin hai. Kehne lage: Yeh qaleen par कैसी tasveerein hain? Farmane lage: Main is ko aag se jala dun ga. Jab Masoor chale gaye to Ibn Abbas (Razi) farmane lage: Is qaleen ya kapre ko mujh se door le jao. In tasveeron ke sar kaat do to unhon ne kaat dale.
