Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 5273
Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated the story of Muadh, in which Muadh used to pray the evening prayer with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and then return and lead his companions in prayer. One night, he came back and led the prayer, and a young man from his people prayed behind him. When the prayer became long for the young man, he left the congregation and prayed on his own, then took the reins of his camel and left. When Muadh finished the prayer, he was told about this, and he said, "He is a hypocrite. I will inform the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about him." The young man said, "I will also inform the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about what he did." In the morning, they went to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) told him what the young man had done. The young man said, "O Messenger of Allah! You (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stay for a long time (in prayer) and then you come back and lead us in a long prayer." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "O Muadh! Are you a source of trials?" Then he asked the young man, "O fleeing one! What do you do when you pray?" He said, "I recite Surah Fatiha and ask Allah for Paradise and seek refuge from Hell." The narrator said, "I could not understand what you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Muadh were saying." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "Muadh and I are concerned about these two (Paradise and Hell)" or he said something similar. The narrator said, "The young man said, 'But Muadh will know when people come and it is announced that the enemy is near.'" The narrator said that they came and the young man was martyred. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) then said to Muadh, "What happened to the one who argued with me and you?" Muadh (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Allah has spoken the truth and I have lied. He was martyred."

(٥٢٧٣) جابر (رض) نے معاذ کا قصہ ذکر کیا، اس میں ہے کہ معاذ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے ساتھ عشا کی نماز پڑھتے تھے، پھر واپس آ کر اپنے ساتھیوں کو نماز پڑھاتے تھے۔ ایک رات واپس آ کر نماز پڑھائی اور ان کی قوم کے ایک جو ان نے ان کے پیچھے نماز پڑھی۔ جب نوجوان پر نماز لمبی ہوئی تو اس نے جماعت کو چھوڑا اور اپنی نماز پڑھی اور اپنے اونٹ کی نکیل پکڑی اور چلا گیا۔ جب معاذ نماز سے فارغ ہوئے تو انھیں بتایا گیا تو وہ کہنے لگے : یہ منافق ہے، میں اس کی خبر نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو دوں گا اور نوجوان کہنے لگا : میں بھی رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو خبر دوں گا، جو اس نے کیا۔ صبح کے وقت وہ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس گئے تو معاذ (رض) نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بتایا، جو جوان نے کیا تھا۔ نوجوان کہنے لگا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! یہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس زیادہ دیر ٹھہرتے ہیں اور واپس آ کر ہمیں لمبی نماز پڑھاتے ہیں، آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اے معاذ ! کیا تو فتنہ باز ہے اور نوجوان سے پوچھا : اے بھیجتے ! جب تو نماز پڑھتا ہے تو کیا کرتا ہے، کہنے لگے : میں سورة فاتحہ پڑھتا ہوں اور اللہ سے جنت کا سوال کرتا ہوں اور جہنم سے پناہ مانگتا ہوں۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : میں آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اور معاذ کا کلام نہ سمجھ سکا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : میں اور معاذ ان دو کے ارد گرد ہیں یا اس کی مثل فرمایا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : نوجوان نے کہا : لیکن معاذ جان لیں گے جب لوگ آئیں گے اور انھیں خبر دی جائے گی کہ دشمن قریب ہے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں کہ وہ آئے تو نوجوان شہید ہوچکا تھا۔ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے اس کے بعد معاذ سے فرمایا : میرے اور تیرے ساتھ جھگڑا کرنے والے کا کیا بنا۔ معاذ (رض) نے عرض کیا : اللہ نے سچ فرمایا اور میں نے جھوٹ بولا، وہ شہید ہوگیا۔
5273 Jabar (RA) ne Muaz ka qissa zikar kya, is mein hai ki Muaz Nabi (SAW) ke sath isha ki namaz parhte the, phir wapas aakar apne saathion ko namaz parhate the. Ek raat wapas aakar namaz parhai aur unki qaum ke ek jo unhone unke peeche namaz parhi. Jab jawan par namaz lambi hui to usne jamaat ko chhora aur apni namaz parhi aur apne unt ki nakeel pakdi aur chala gaya. Jab Muaz namaz se farigh hue to unhen bataya gaya to woh kahne lage: Yeh munafiq hai, mein iski khabar Nabi (SAW) ko dun ga aur jawan kahne laga: Mein bhi Rasulullah (SAW) ko khabar dun ga, jo usne kya. Subah ke waqt woh Nabi (SAW) ke paas gaye to Muaz (RA) ne Nabi (SAW) ko bataya, jo jawan ne kya tha. Jawan kahne laga: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Yeh aap (SAW) ke paas zyada der theherte hain aur wapas aakar hamen lambi namaz parhate hain, aap (SAW) ne farmaya: Aye Muaz! Kya tu fitna baz hai aur jawan se pucha: Aye bhajte! Jab tu namaz parhta hai to kya karta hai, kahne lage: Mein Surah Fatiha parhta hun aur Allah se jannat ka sawal karta hun aur jahannam se panah mangta hun. Rawi kahte hain: Mein aap (SAW) aur Muaz ka kalam na samajh saka. Nabi (SAW) ne farmaya: Mein aur Muaz in do ke ird gird hain ya iski misl farmaya. Rawi kahte hain: Jawan ne kaha: Lekin Muaz jaan lenge jab log aayenge aur unhen khabar di jayegi ki dushman qareeb hai. Rawi kahte hain ki woh aaye to jawan shaheed ho chuka tha. Nabi (SAW) ne iske baad Muaz se farmaya: Mere aur tere sath jhagda karne wale ka kya bana. Muaz (RA) ne arz kya: Allah ne sach farmaya aur maine jhoot bola, woh shaheed hogaya.
٥٢٧٣ - فَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ، ثنا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ،فَذَكَرَ قِصَّةَ مُعَاذٍ وَتِلْكَ الْقِصَّةَ قَالَ:كَانَ مُعَاذٌ يُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعِشَاءَ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فَيُصَلِّي بِأَصْحَابِهِ فَرَجَعَ ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ، وَصَلَّى خَلْفَهُ فَتًى مِنْ قَوْمِهِ، فَلَمَّا طَالَ عَلَى الْفَتَى صَلَّى وَخَرَجَ وَأَخَذَ بِخِطَامِ بَعِيرِهِ وَانْطَلَقَ،فَلَمَّا صَلَّى مُعَاذٌ ذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ:إِنَّ هَذَا بِهِ لَنِفَاقٌ لَأُخْبِرَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالَّذِي صَنَعَ،وَقَالَ الْفَتَى:وَأَنَا لَأُخْبِرَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالَّذِي صَنَعَ، فَغَدَوْا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ مُعَاذٌ بِالَّذِي صَنَعَ الْفَتَى،فَقَالَ الْفَتَى:يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ يُطِيلُ الْمُكْثَ عِنْدَكَ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ فَيُطِيلُ عَلَيْنَا.فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" أَفَتَّانٌ أَنْتَ يَا مُعَاذُ؟ "،وَقَالَ للْفَتَى:" كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ أَنْتَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي إِذَا صَلَّيْتَ؟ "قَالَ: أَقْرَأُ بِفَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ وَأَسْأَلُ اللهَ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَعُوذُ بِهِ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَأَنِّي لَا أَدْرِي مَا دَنْدَنَتُكَ وَدَنْدَنَةُ مُعَاذٍ،فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" إِنِّي وَمُعَاذٌ حَوْلَ هَاتَيْنِ، أَوْ نَحْوَ ذَا "قَالَ: فَقَالَ الْفَتَى: وَلَكِنْ سَيَعْلَمُ مُعَاذٌ إِذَا قَدِمَ الْقَوْمُ وَقَدْ خُبِّرُوا أَنَّ الْعَدُوَّ قَدْ أَتَوْا،قَالَ:فَقَدِمُوا، فَاسْتُشْهِدَ الْفَتَى.فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لِمُعَاذٍ:" مَا فَعَلَ خَصْمِي وَخَصْمُكَ؟ "قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، صَدَقَ اللهَ، وَكَذَبْتُ، اسْتُشْهِدَ
