Chapter on those who said to leave for the owner of the wall what he and his family eat and what the destitute expose, so it is not counted against him.
باب من قال يترك لرب الحائط قدر ما يأكل هو وأهله وما يعري المساكين منها لا يخرص عليه

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7446
Sahl bin Abu Hatmah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) bin Al-Khattab sent him to estimate the dates and said: "When you reach this land, estimate it and leave for them what they eat."

(٧٤٤٦) سہل بن ابو حثمہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ عمر (رض) بن خطاب نے انھیں کھجور کا اندازہ لگانے کے لیے بھیجا اور کہا : جب تم اس زمین میں آؤ تو تخمینہ لگاؤ اور ان کے لیے اس قدر چھوڑ دو جو وہ کھائیں۔
Sahal bin Abu Hatmah (RA) farmate hain ki Umar (RA) bin Khattab ne unhen khajoor ka andaza lagane ke liye bheja aur kaha: Jab tum is zameen mein aao to takhmeena lagao aur un ke liye is qadar chhor do jo woh khaen.
٧٤٤٦ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، أنبأ أَبُو الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ بَعَثَهُ عَلَى خَرْصِ التَّمْرِ،وَقَالَ:" إِذَا أَتَيْتَ أَرْضًا فَاخْرُصْهَا وَدَعْ لَهَا قَدْرَ مَا يَأْكُلُونَ "وَقَدْ ذَكَرَهُ الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ مُرْسَلًا
