Chapter on the evidence that Zakat al-Fitr is obligated as a Sa' according to the Prophet's measure, peace be upon him, and that it is considered as a Sa' of the people of Medina, who used to live on it.

Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 7717
(7717) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The scale of the people of Makkah is the true scale and the measure of the people of Madinah is the true measure."
Grade: Sahih
(٧٧١٧ ) عبداللہ بن عمر (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : ترازو اہل مکہ کا ترازو ہے اور ماپ اہل مدینہ کا اصل ماپ ہے۔
(7717) Abdullah bin Umar (RA) farmate hain ki Rasul Allah (SAW) ne farmaya: Tarazu ehl Makkah ka tarazu hai aur maap ehl Madina ka asl maap hai.
٧٧١٧ - أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ، ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ حَنْظَلَةَ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ،عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:" الْمِيزَانُ عَلَى مِيزَانِ أَهْلِ مَكَّةَ، وَالْمِكْيَالُ مِكْيَالُ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ "
