Sunan al-Darimi 58

Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him): I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on a moonlit night wearing red clothes. I would look at him and then at the full moon, and in my eyes, he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was more beautiful than the full moon.

سیدنا جابر بن سمرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کو چاندنی رات میں سرخ لباس زیب تن کئے ہوئے دیکھا، میں کبھی آپ کی طرف اور کبھی چودہویں کے چاند کی طرف دیکھتا اور میری نظر میں تو آپ ﷺ چودہویں کے چاند سے زیادہ حسین تھے۔

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ سَوَّارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: "رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ إِضْحِيَانٍ، وَعَلَيْهِ حُلَّةٌ حَمْرَاءُ، فَجَعَلْتُ أَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِ وَإِلَى الْقَمَرِ، قَالَ: فَلَهُوَ كَانَ أَحْسَنَ فِي عَيْنِي مِنْ الْقَمَرِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 59

It is narrated on the authority of Sayyidina Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that there was a gap between the two front teeth of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and when he (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would speak, rays of light would be seen emanating from between those two teeth.

سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کے ثنایا (سامنے کے دو دانت) میں جھری تھی، جب آپ ﷺ گفتگو فرماتے تو ان دونوں دانتوں کے درمیان نور کی شعاعیں پھوٹتی دیکھی جاتیں۔

Syedna Abdullah bin Abbas razi Allah anhuma se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke sanaya (samne ke do dant) mein jhuri thi, jab aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) guftagu farmate to in dono danton ke darmiyan noor ki shuayen phootti dekhi jati thin.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ أَبِي الثَابِتٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْمَاعِيل بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنُ أَخِي مُوسَى، عَنْ عَمِّهِ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "أَفْلَجَ الثَّنِيَّتَيْنِ، إِذَا تَكَلَّمَ رُئِيَ كَالنُّورِ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ بَيْنِ ثَنَايَاهُ".

Sunan al-Darimi 60

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar (may Allah be pleased with him): I have never seen anyone more generous, more courageous, or more handsome than the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).

سیدنا عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ سے زیادہ مدد کرنے والا، سخاوت کرنے والا، بہادر اور خوبصورت کوئی نہیں دیکھا۔

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a se riwayat hai ki maine Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se zyada madad karne wala, sakhawat karne wala, bahadur aur khoobsurat koi nahi dekha.

أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ: "مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَنْجَدَ، وَلَا أَجْوَدَ، وَلَا أَشْجَعَ، وَلَا أَضْوَأَ أَوْ أَوْضَأَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".

Sunan al-Darimi 61

It is narrated on the authority of Abu 'Ubaydah that I said to Sayyidah Rubayi' bint Mu'adh, may Allah be pleased with her: "Tell me about the characteristics of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace." She said: "Son! If you were to see him, peace and blessings be upon him, you would think that the sun had risen."


Grade: Da'if

ابوعبیدہ سے روایت ہے کہ میں نے سیدہ ربیع بنت معوذ رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا کہ مجھے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صفات سے آگاہ کیجئے، انہوں نے کہا: بیٹے! اگر تم انہیں ﷺ کو دیکھتے تو سمجھتے کہ سورج طلوع ہو گیا ہے۔

Abu Ubaidah se riwayat hai keh maine Sayyidah Rubai' bint Mu'adh ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se kaha keh mujhe Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki sifat se agah kijiye, unhon ne kaha: Bete! Agar tum unhen (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ko dekhte to samajhte keh sooraj taloo ho gaya hai.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: لِلرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ ابْنِ عَفْرَاءَ: صِفِي لَنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا بُنَيَّ "لَوْ رَأَيْتَهُ، رَأَيْتَ الشَّمْسَ طَالِعَةً".

Sunan al-Darimi 62

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet (ﷺ) was of fair complexion, and his sweat was like pearls. He used to walk tilting forward, and I never touched silk or anything softer than the palms of the Prophet (ﷺ). And I never smelled a perfume or musk more fragrant than the fragrance of the Prophet (ﷺ).


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ چمکیلے صاف رنگ کے تھے، آپ کا پسینہ موتی کی طرح تھا، چلتے تو آگے کی طرف جھکے ہوئے اور میں نے ریشم سے زیادہ آپ کی ہتھیلیوں کو نرم و ملائم پایا اور میں نے مشک و عنبر میں بھی وہ خوشبو نہ پائی جو آپ کے جسد مبارک میں تھی۔

Sayyidina Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se riwayat hai ki Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) chamkile saaf rang ke thay, aap ka paseena moti ki tarah tha, chalte to aage ki taraf jhuke huye aur maine resham se zyada aap ki hatheliyon ko narm o mulayam paya aur maine mushk o anbar mein bhi woh khushbu na paayi jo aap ke jism e mubarak mein thi.

أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، أَخْبَرَنَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ "أَزْهَرَ اللَّوْنِ كَأَنَّ عَرَقَهُ اللُّؤْلُؤُ، إِذَا مَشَى تَكَفَّأَ، وَمَا مَسِسْتُ حَرِيرَةً وَلَا دِيبَاجَةً أَلْيَنَ مِنْ كَفِّهِ، وَلَا شَمِمْتُ رَائِحَةً قَطُّ أَطْيَبُ مِنْ رَائِحَتِهِ: مِسْكَةً وَلَا غَيْرَهَا".

Sunan al-Darimi 63

It is narrated by Anas Radi Allahu Anhu that I served the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam for ten years, never did He say "uff" to me, nor did He ever say on the completion of any work "Why did you do this, why didn't you do this". Anas Radi Allahu Anhu said, by Allah, I found the blessed hands of the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam to be softer than silk and brocade and I found the fragrance of the sweat of the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam better than all kinds of perfumes.

سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی دس سال تک خدمت کی، کبھی آپ نے مجھ سے ”اُف“ تک نہ کہا۔ نہ کسی چیز کے کر گزرنے پر یہ کہا کہ تم نے ایسا کیوں کیا، ایسا کیوں نہیں کیا۔ سیدنا انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم میں نے دیباج و حریر سے زیادہ نرم ملائم رسول اللہ ﷺ کے دست مبارک کو پایا اور میں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پسینے کی خوشبو کو ہر قسم کی خوشبو سے اچھا پایا۔

Sayyidna Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se marvi hai ke maine Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki das saal tak khidmat ki kabhi aap ne mujh se uff tak na kaha na kisi cheez ke kar guzarne par yeh kaha ke tum ne aisa kyon kiya aisa kyon nahi kiya Sayyidna Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne kaha ke Allah ki qasam maine debaj o hareer se ziada narm mulaim Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke dast mubarak ko paya aur maine Rasul Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke paseene ki khushbu ko har qisam ki khushbu se achcha paya

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: "خَدَمْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَا قَالَ لِي: أُفٍّ قَطُّ، وَلَا قَالَ لِي لِشَيْءٍ صَنَعْتُهُ: لِمَ صَنَعْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا أَوْ هَلَّا صَنَعْتَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَقَالَ: لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا مَسِسْتُ بِيَدِي دِيبَاجًا، وَلَا حَرِيرًا أَلْيَنَ مِنْ يَدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَا وَجَدْتُ رِيحًا قَطُّ أَوْ عَرْفًا كَانَ أَطْيَبَ مِنْ عَرْفِ أَوْ رِيحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ".

Sunan al-Darimi 64

It is narrated on the authority of Habib bin Khadrah that a man from Banu Harish told me: "When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, stoned Ma'iz bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), I was with my father. When the stones hit Ma'iz, I became afraid. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, drew me close. Your sweat fell on me from your armpit, and its fragrance was like the fragrance of musk."

حبیب بن خدرہ سے مروی ہے کہ بنوحریش کے ایک آدمی نے مجھ سے بیان کیا کہ جب رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ماعز بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کو رجم کیا تو میں اپنے والد کے ساتھ تھا جب ماعز رضی اللہ عنہ کے پتھر لگا میرے اوپر خوف طاری ہو گیا تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے مجھے چمٹا لیا، آپ کی بغل سے میرے اوپر آپ کا پسینہ آ گیا جس کی خوشبو مشک کی خوشبو کے مثل تھی۔

Habib bin Khadra se marvi hai ki Banu Harish ke ek admi ne mujh se bayan kiya ki jab Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne Maaz bin Malik razi Allah anhu ko rajm kiya to main apne walid ke sath tha jab Maaz razi Allah anhu ke pathar laga mere upar khauf tari ho gaya to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne mujhe chamta liya aap ki baghal se mere upar aap ka paseena aa gaya jis ki khushbu mushk ki khushbu ke misl thi.

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الرِّفَاعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ خُدْرَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي حُرَيْشٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ أَبِي حِينَ رَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَاعِزَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَلَمَّا أَخَذَتْهُ الْحِجَارَةُ أُرْعِبْتُ، "فَضَمَّنِي إِلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَالَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ عَرَقِ إِبْطِهِ مِثْلُ رِيحِ الْمِسْكِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 65

Narrated by Sayyiduna Bara' (RA): A person asked him: Did you see the face of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) like a sword (i.e. was his face long and thin like a sword)? He said: No, your blessed face was like the moon of the fourteenth night (round and beautiful).


Grade: Sahih

سیدنا براء رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ ایک شخص نے ان سے پوچھا: کیا آپ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے چہرے کو تلوار کی طرح دیکھا (یعنی کیا آپ کا چہرہ تلوار کی طرح لمبا اور پتلا تھا؟) انہوں نے کہا: نہیں، آپ کا چہرہ مبارک تو چودہویں کے چاند کی طرح (گول اور خوبصورت) تھا۔

Sayyidna Bara RA ne kaha keh ek shakhs ne un se poocha: kya aap ne Rasul Allah SAW ke chehre ko talwar ki tarah dekha (yani kya aapka chehra talwar ki tarah lamba aur patla tha?) Unhon ne kaha: nahi, aapka chehra mubarak to chaudhvin ke chand ki tarah (gol aur khoobsurat) tha.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق، عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ، قَالَ: سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ: أَرَأَيْتَ كَانَ وَجْهُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ السَّيْفِ؟، قَالَ: "لَا، مِثْلَ الْقَمَرِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 66

Ibrahim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was recognizable even at night by his fragrance.


Grade: Hasan

ابراہیم رحمہ اللہ نے کہا: رسول اللہ ﷺ رات میں بھی اپنی خوشبو کی وجہ سے پہچان لئے جاتے تھے۔

Ibrahim rehmatullah alaih ne kaha: Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) raat mein bhi apni khushbu ki wajah se pehchan liye jate the.

أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "يُعْرَفُ بِاللَّيْلِ بِطيبِ الرِّيحِ".

Sunan al-Darimi 67

It is narrated from Sayyidina Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would pass by a path, anyone who would pass by that path after him would recognize that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) had passed by, due to the fragrance of his scent or the pleasant smell of his perspiration.

روایت ہے سیدنا جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہ نبی کریم ﷺ کسی راستے سے گزر جاتے تو آپ کے پیچھے جو بھی اس راستے سے گزرتا وہ آپ کی خوشبو یا آپ کے پسینے کی خوشبو کی وجہ سے پہچان لیتا کہ آپ ﷺ اس راستے سے گزرے ہیں۔

Riwayat hai syedna jabir razi Allah anhu se ke nabi kareem (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) kisi raste se guzar jate to aap ke peeche jo bhi is raste se guzarta wo aap ki khushbu ya aap ke paseene ki khushbu ki wajah se pehchan leta ke aap (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) is raste se guzre hain.

أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْهَاشِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: "لَمْ يَسْلُكْ طَرِيقًا أَوْ لَا يَسْلُكُ طَرِيقًا، فَيَتْبَعُهُ أَحَدٌ إِلَّا عَرَفَ أَنَّهُ قَدْ سَلَكَهُ مِنْ طِيبِ عَرْفِهِ"، أَوْ قَالَ: مِنْ رِيحِ عَرَقِهِ.
