كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on Mentioning Who Has the Most Right to Lead the Prayer
بَابُ ذِكْرِ أَحَقِّ النَّاسِ بِالْإِمَامَةِ.
Sahih Ibn Khuzaymah 1508
Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "When there are three people, one of them should lead them in prayer, and the most deserving of them to lead is the one who has the most knowledge of the Quran."

سیدنا ابوسعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے فرمایا: ”جب تین افراد ہوں تو ان میں سے ایک انہیں امامت کرائے اور ان میں سے امامت کا زیادہ حق دار وہ شخص ہے جو قرآن کو زیادہ پڑھنے اور جاننے والا ہو۔“
Sayyidina Abu Saeed Khudri Radi Allahu Anhu, Nabi Kareem Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam se riwayat karte hain ki aap ne farmaya: "Jab teen afrad hon to un mein se ek unhen imamat karae aur un mein se imamat ka zyada haqdaar wo shakhs hai jo Quran ko zyada padhne aur jaanne wala ho."
نا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، حَدَّثَنِي قَتَادَةُ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، وَهِشَامٍ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ ، وَهِشَامٍ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: " إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلاثَةً، فَلْيَؤُمَّهُمْ أَحَدُهُمْ، وَأَحَقُّهُمْ بِالإِمَامَةِ أَقْرَؤُهُمْ" . نا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، نا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ بِنَحْوِهِ
