كِتَابُ الْإِمَامَةِ فِي الصَّلَاةِ
Chapter on praying in congregation after performing the morning prayer individually.
بَابُ الصَّلَاةِ جَمَاعَةً بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ مُنْفَرِدًا

Sayyiduna Yazid bin Aswad Amri, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates that I was with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, during his Hajj. I prayed the Fajr prayer with him in the Masjid Khaif in Mina. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer, he suddenly saw two men sitting behind the people who had not prayed with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that they be brought to him. So they were brought, and (due to fear) the flesh of their shoulders was trembling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Why did you not pray with us?" They both replied, "O Messenger of Allah, we had already prayed in our neighborhood." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Do not do that. When you have prayed in your neighborhood mosque, then come to the mosque where the congregation is and pray with them, for it will be a voluntary (nafl) prayer for you." In the narration of Bandar, it is stated, "Then come to the imam who has not yet prayed." And in the narration of Waki', it is stated, "Then come while the people are praying." And Imam San'ani added these words: "The people were taking the blessed hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and applying it to their faces, and it was colder than snow and had a fragrance purer than musk."
سیدنا یزید بن اسود عامری رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حج میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ شریک تھا - تو میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ منیٰ کی مسجد خیف میں فجر کی نماز پڑھی - جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے نماز مکمّل کی تو اچانک آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے دیکھا کہ لوگوں کے پیچھے دو آدمی بیٹھے تھے جنہوں نے آپ کے ساتھ نماز نہیں پڑھی تھی - آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حُکم دیا کہ ان دونوں کو میرے پاس لاؤ۔ پس اُن دونوں کو لایا گیا تو (خوف کی وجہ سے) اُن کے شانوں کا گوشت پھڑک رہا تھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پوچھا: ”تم نے ہمارے ساتھ نماز کیوں نہیں پڑھی؟“ دونوں نے جواب دیا کہ اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ، ہم اپنے محلّے میں نماز پڑھ چکے تھے۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”تو تم ایسے نہ کیا کرو، جب تم اپنے محلّے (کی مسجد) میں نماز پڑھ لو پھر تم جماعت والی مسجد میں آؤ تو اُن کے ساتھ مل کر نماز پڑھ لیا کرو بیشک وہ تمہارے لئے نفل بن جائے گی۔“ جناب بندار کی روایت میں ہے کہ ”پھر تم اس امام کے پاس آؤ جس نے ابھی نماز نہ پڑھی ہو۔“ اور جناب وکیع کی روایت میں ہے کہ ”پھر تم اس حال میں آؤ کہ لوگ نماز پڑھ رہے ہوں ـ“ اور جناب صنعانی نے ان الفاظ کا اضافہ کیا ہے کہ لوگ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے دست مبارک کو پکڑ کر اُسے اپنے چہروں پر لگا رہے تھے تو وہ برف سے زیادہ ٹھنڈا اور کستوری سے زیادہ پاکیزہ خوشبو مہک والا تھا۔
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Aswad Amri Radi Allahu Anhu bayan karte hain ki main Rasul Allah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke Hajj mein aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath shareek tha - to maine aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke sath Mina ki Masjid Khaif mein Fajr ki namaz parhi - jab aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne namaz mukammal ki to achanak aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne dekha ki logon ke peeche do aadmi baithe the jinhone aap ke sath namaz nahi parhi thi - aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne hukm diya ki un donon ko mere paas lao. Pas un donon ko laya gaya to (khauf ki wajah se) unke shanon ka gosht pharak raha tha. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne poocha: ”Tumne humare sath namaz kyon nahi parhi?“ Donon ne jawab diya ki aye Allah ke Rasul Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, hum apne mohalle mein namaz parh chuke the. Aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ne farmaya: ”To tum aise na kiya karo, jab tum apne mohalle (ki masjid) mein namaz parh lo phir tum jamaat wali masjid mein aao to unke sath mil kar namaz parh liya karo beshak woh tumhare liye nafl ban jayegi.“ Janab Bandar ki riwayat mein hai ki ”phir tum us Imam ke paas aao jisne abhi namaz nah parhi ho.“ Aur Janab Wakee ki riwayat mein hai ki ”phir tum us haal mein aao ki log namaz parh rahe hon -“ aur Janab Sanani ne in alfaz ka izapha kiya hai ki log aap Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam ke dast mubarak ko pakar kar usay apne chehron par laga rahe the to woh barf se zyada thanda aur kasturi se zyada pakeeza khushbu mehak wala tha.
نا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ زِيَادُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ ، وَأَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، نا مُحَمَّدٌ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ ، وَشُعْبَةُ ، وَشَرِيكٌ . ح وَحَدَّثَنَا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ ، نا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، وَقَالَ هُشَيْمٌ: وَهَذَا حَدِيثُهُ، قَالَ: ثنا جَابِرُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ الْعَامِرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ: شَهِدْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَجَّتَهُ، قَالَ: فَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ صَلاةَ الْفَجْرِ فِي مَسْجِدِ الْخَيْفِ، يَعْنِي مَسْجِدَ مِنًى، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلاتَهُ إِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ فِي آخِرِ الْقَوْمِ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّيَا مَعَهُ، فَقَالَ:" عَلَيَّ بِهِمَا"، فَأُتِيَ بِهِمَا تُرْعَدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا، فَقَالَ:" مَا مَنَعَكُمَا أَنْ تُصَلِّيَا مَعَنَا؟" قَالا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، كُنَّا قَدْ صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا، قَالَ: " فَلا تَفْعَلا إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا، ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُمَا مَسْجِدَ جَمَاعَةٍ، فَصَلِّيَا مَعَهُمْ، فَإِنَّهَا لَكُمْ نَافِلَةٌ" . وَقَالَ بُنْدَارٌ:" فَأَتَيْتُمَا الإِمَامَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ". وَفِي حَدِيثِ وَكِيعٍ:" ثُمَّ جِئْتُمْ وَالنَّاسُ فِي الصَّلاةِ". وَزَادَ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ: وَالنَّاسُ يَأْخُذُونَ بِيَدِهِ، وَيَمْسَحُونَ بِهَا وُجُوهَهُمْ، فَإِذَا هِيَ أَبْرَدُ مِنَ الثَّلْجِ، وَأَطْيَبُ رِيحًا مِنَ الْمِسْكِ
