Safwan bin Ya'la narrated that Ya'la (رضي الله تعالى عنه) used to say to Umar bin Khattab ( رضي الله تعالى عنه), ‘would that I see revelation descending upon the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). (Once) when the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) was in Ji'rana and there was a cloth which provided shade over him, and there were his companions with him. 'Umar ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) being one of them, there came a person with a cloak of wool on him daubed with perfume and he said, Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم), what about the person who entered upon the state of Ihram with a cloak after daubing it with perfume? The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) looked at him for a short while, and then became quiet, and revelation began descending upon him, and Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) gestured (with his hand) to Ya'la bin Umayya ( رضي الله تعالى عنه) to come. Ya'la (رضي الله تعالى عنه) came, and he entered his head (beneath the cloth and saw) the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) with his face red and breathing heavily. Then he felt relieved (of that burden) and he said, where is the man who was just asking me about Umra? The man was searched for and he was brought, and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) said, So far as the perfume is concerned, wash it three times, and remove the cloak too (as it was sewn) and do in 'Umra as you do in Hajj.’
امام صاحب اپنے تین اساتذہ سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ صفوان بن یعلیٰ بن امیہ نے عطا کو بتایا، کہ یعلیٰ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ سے کہتے تھے کہ کاش میں نبی اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اس وقت دیکھوں جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر وحی نازل ہو رہی ہو تو جب نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جعرانہ میں تھے اور نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایک کپڑے کا سایہ کیا گیا تھا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے کچھ ساتھی، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے، جن میں عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ بھی تھے، اچانک آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس ایک آدمی آیا، جو جبہ پہنے ہوئے تھا اور خوشبو سے لت پت تھا تو اس نے کہا: اے اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا اس انسان کے بارے میں کیا ارشاد ہے، جس نے عمرہ کا احرام ایک جبہ میں، خوشبو سے معطر ہو کر باندھا؟ کچھ وقت آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اسے دیکھا، پھر خاموش ہو گئے اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم پر وحی کا نزول شروع ہو گیا، حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے یعلیٰ بن امیہ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ کو اشارہ سے کہا: آؤ تو یعلیٰ رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ آ گئے اور اپنا سر (کپڑے کے) اندر داخل کر دیا، ناگہاں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا چہرہ سرخ تھا، کچھ وقت تک آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خراٹے لیتے رہے پھر یہ کیفیت دور ہو گئی تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”کہاں ہے وہ جس نے ابھی مجھ سے عمرہ کے بارے میں دریافت کیا تھا؟“ اس آدمی کو تلاش کر کے لایا گیا تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ”وہ خوشبو جو تیرے جسم پر ہے، اس کو تین دفعہ دھو ڈالو اور جبہ کو اتار دو، پھر اپنے عمرہ میں وہی کام کرو جو اپنے حج میں کرتے ہو۔“
Imam Sahab apne teen asatizah se bayan karte hain ke Safwan bin Ya'la bin Umayyah ne Ata ko bataya, ke Ya'la (Radiallahu Anhu) Hazrat Umar bin Khattab (Radiallahu Anhu) se kehte the ke kaash main Nabi Allah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko us waqt dekhoon jab Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) par wahi nazil ho rahi ho to jab Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) Ja'ranah mein the aur Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ko ek kapde ka sayah kiya gaya tha aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke kuch sathi, Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke saath the, jin mein Umar (Radiallahu Anhu) bhi the, achanak Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ke paas ek aadmi aaya, jo jubbah pehne hue tha aur khushboo se lat pat tha to usne kaha: "Aye Allah ke Rasool (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)! Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka is insan ke bare mein kya irshad hai, jisne umre ka ehram ek jubbah mein, khushboo se mu'attar ho kar bandha?" Kuch waqt Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne use dekha, phir khamosh ho gaye aur Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) par wahi ka nuzool shuru ho gaya, Hazrat Umar (Radiallahu Anhu) ne apne haath se Ya'la bin Umayyah (Radiallahu Anhu) ko ishara se kaha: "Aao!" To Ya'la (Radiallahu Anhu) aa gaye aur apna sir (kapde ke) andar dakhil kar diya, nagahan Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ka chehra surkh tha, kuch waqt tak Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) kharate lete rahe phir yeh kaifiyat door ho gai to Aap (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Kahan hai woh jisne abhi mujhse umre ke bare mein daryaft kiya tha?" Us aadmi ko talash kar ke laya gaya to Nabi Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) ne farmaya: "Woh khushboo jo tere jism par hai, usko teen dafa dho dalo aur jubbah ko utar do, phir apne umre mein wohi kaam karo jo apne Hajj mein karte ho."
