Mention of the death of Hazrat Fatimah and the differing opinions about the time of her death
وفاة حضرة فاطمة رضي الله عنها واختلاف زمان وفاتها
Mustadrak Al Hakim 4761
Muhammad bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: Fatima bint Muhammad (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away at approximately 29 years of age on the 3rd of Ramadan. There is a difference of opinion regarding the exact time of her death.
* Imam Muhammad al-Baqir states that Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away three months after the Prophet's (peace be upon him) death.
* It is narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that her death occurred six months after the Prophet's (peace be upon him) death.
* Abdullah bin Harith has narrated from Yazid bin Abu Ziyad that Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away eight months after the Prophet's (peace be upon him) death.
* Ibn Juraij, through Zuhri, from Urwa, that Muhammad bin Umar narrated from Zuhri, through Ma'mar, from Urwa, from Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said, " Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away six months after the death of the Prophet (peace be upon him)."
** Muhammad bin Umar says: This is the most authentic opinion in our view.
" حضرت محمد بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں : حضرت فاطمہ بنت محمد کا انتقال تقریباً 29 سال کی عمر میں 3 رمضان المبارک کو ہوا ۔ آپ کی وفات کے وقت کے بارے میں اختلاف پایا جاتا ہے ۔
* امام محمد الباقر کا کہنا ہے کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کی وفات کے تین ماہ بعد حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا وصال مبارک ہوا ۔
* ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ ان کی وفات نبی اکرم ﷺ کی وفات کے چھ ماہ بعد ہوئی ۔
* حضرت عبداللہ بن حارث نے یزید بن ابوزیاد کا یہ بیان نقل کیا ہے کہ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا وصال ، نبی اکرم ﷺ کی وفات کے آٹھ ماہ بعد ہوا ۔
* ابن جریج نے زہری کے ذریعے ، عروہ سے ، جبکہ محمد بن عمر نے معمر کے واسطے سے زہری کے ذریعے عروہ سے روایت کی ہے کہ ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ کے وصال کے چھ ماہ بعد حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا انتقال ہوا ۔
٭٭ محمد بن عمر کہتے ہیں : ہمارے نزدیک یہی قول معتبر ہے ۔"
Hazrat Muhammad bin Umar Radi Allaho Anhuma farmate hain : Hazrat Fatima bint Muhammad ka inteqal taqreeban 29 saal ki umar mein 3 Ramadan ul Mubarak ko hua . Aap ki wafat ke waqt ke bare mein ikhtilaf paya jata hai .
* Imam Muhammad al-Baqir ka kehna hai ki Nabi Akram ﷺ ki wafat ke teen mah baad Hazrat Fatima Radi Allaho Anha ka wisal mubarak hua .
* Umm al-Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha se marvi hai ki un ki wafat Nabi Akram ﷺ ki wafat ke chhe mah baad hui .
* Hazrat Abdullah bin Harith ne Yazid bin Abu Ziyad ka yeh bayan naqal kya hai ki Hazrat Fatima Radi Allaho Anha ka wisal , Nabi Akram ﷺ ki wafat ke aath mah baad hua .
* Ibn Juraij ne Zuhri ke zariye , Urwah se , jabke Muhammad bin Umar ne Ma'mar ke waste se Zuhri ke zariye Urwah se riwayat ki hai ki Umm al-Momineen Hazrat Ayesha Radi Allaho Anha farmati hain ki Nabi Akram ﷺ ke wisal ke chhe mah baad Hazrat Fatima Radi Allaho Anha ka inteqal hua .
** Muhammad bin Umar kehte hain : humare nazdeek yahi qaul motabar hai .
It is narrated on the authority of Umm al-Mumineen Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), along with the aforementioned narration, that Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) lived for six months after the death of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
** Saalih ibn Kisaan, 'Uqail, Ibn 'Uyainah, Waqidi, Muhammad ibn 'Abdullah ibn Ukhi Az-Zuhri and Ibn Juraij, all of them have also narrated this tradition in the same way.
"مذکورہ سند کے ہمراہ ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا ، نبی اکرم ﷺ کے وصال کے بعد چھ ماہ تک زندہ رہیں ۔
٭٭ صالح بن کیسان ، عقیل ، ابن عیینہ ، واقدی ، محمد بن عبداللہ ابن اخی الزہری اور ابن جریج ان تمام نے بھی اس روایت کو اسی طرح بیان کیا ہے ۔"
Mazkoora sand ke hamra ummulmomineen hazrat ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se marvi hai ke hazrat fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا), nabi akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke wisal ke baad chhe mah tak zinda raheen. ** Saleh bin kisan, aqeel, ibn e ayyna, waqidi, muhammad bin abdullah ibn akhi azzahri aur ibn juraij in tamam ne bhi is riwayat ko isi tarah bayan kiya hai.
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) became severely ill, so she said to Asma bint Umais (may Allah be pleased with her), "Don't you see my condition? Will I be carried on a cot openly (after my death)?" Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "By Allah! I will adopt the same method for your funeral that is prevalent in Abyssinia." Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "Show me how it is done." So, Asma asked for some fresh branches of a date palm tree and placed them on the cot in such a way that they were raised in the middle. This method was adopted for the first time in Arabia on this occasion. Seeing this, Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) smiled. After the Prophet's (peace be upon him) death, it was the first time that I saw a smile on her lips. (Then, when she passed away) we carried her funeral in the same manner (that too in the darkness of the night) and she was buried.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما فرماتے ہیں : حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا شدید بیمار ہو گئیں تو انہوں نے حضرت اسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ عنہا سے کہا : میری حالت کو تم دیکھ نہیں رہی ہو ؟ کیا میں ( وفات کے بعد یونہی ) عیاں طور پر چارپائی پر اٹھائی جاؤں گی ؟ حضرت اسماء رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا : خدا کی قسم ! میں آپ کی میت کے لئے وہ طریقہ اختیار کروں گی جو حبشہ میں رائج ہے ۔ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے فرمایا : مجھے اس طرح کر کے دکھاؤ ۔ چنانچہ حضرت اسماء نے کھجور کی چند تازہ ٹہنیاں منگوائیں اور چارپائی پر اس طور پر رکھ دیں کہ درمیان سے ابھری ہوئی تھیں ، یہ طریقہ عرب میں سب سے پہلے اسی موقع پر اختیار کیا گیا یہ دیکھ کر حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا مسکرا دیں ۔ نبی اکرم ﷺ کی وفات کے بعد پہلی مرتبہ اس موقع پر آپ کے ہونٹوں پر میں نے تبسم دیکھا ( پھر جب ان کا انتقال ہو گیا تو ) ہم نے اسی طریقہ سے ( وہ بھی رات کے اندھیرے میں ) ان کا جنازہ اٹھایا اور ان کی تدفین کی گئی ۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a farmate hain : Hazrat Fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) shadeed bimar ho gai to unhon ne Hazrat Asma bint Umais ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) se kaha : meri halat ko tum dekh nahin rahi ho ? kya main ( wafaat ke bad yunhi ) ayaan tor par charpai par uthai jaoon gi ? Hazrat Asma ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne kaha : Khuda ki qasam ! main aap ki mayyat ke liye wo tariqa ikhtiyar karoon gi jo Habasha mein raij hai . Hazrat Fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ne farmaya : mujhe is tarah kar ke dikhao . Chunancha Hazrat Asma ne khajoor ki chand taza tehniyan mangwain aur charpai par is tor par rakh di ke darmiyan se ubhri hui thin , ye tariqa Arab mein sab se pehle isi mauqa par ikhtiyar kiya gaya ye dekh kar Hazrat Fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) muskura di . Nabi Akram SallAllaho Alaihi Wasallam ki wafaat ke bad pehli martaba is mauqa par aap ke honton par main ne tabassum dekha ( phir jab un ka inteqal ho gaya to ) hum ne isi tariqa se ( wo bhi raat ke andhere mein ) un ka janaza uthaya aur un ki tadfeen ki gai .
The Mother of the Believers, Aisha (peace be upon her) narrates: The Prophet's daughter, Fatima (peace be upon her) (observed such strictness in the matters of hijab that) was buried under the cover of night. Ali (peace be upon him) led her funeral prayer and he himself buried her. Even Abu Bakr (peace be upon him) was not informed about her funeral and burial.
ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں : رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صاحبزادی حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا ( پردہ داری کا یہ عالم تھا کہ ان ) کو رات کی تاریکی میں دفن کیا گیا اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے ان کی نمازہ جنازہ پڑھائی اور انہوں نے ہی آپ کی تدفین کی اور حضرت ابوبکر رضی اللہ عنہ تک کو ان کے جنازہ اور تدفین کا پتہ نہ چلا ۔
Um ul momineen Hazrat Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) farmati hain : Rasool Allah ﷺ ki sahibzadi Hazrat Fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ( parda dari ka yeh aalam tha ke un ) ko raat ki tareeki mein dafan kiya gaya aur Hazrat Ali (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ne un ki namaz e janaza parhayi aur unhon ne hi aap ki tadfeen ki aur Hazrat Abubakar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) tak ko un ke janaza aur tadfeen ka pata na chala ..
Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq said: Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away at the age of 21, while her birth took place forty-one years after the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
حضرت امام جعفر صادق فرماتے ہیں : حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا انتقال 21 سال کی عمر میں ہوا ، جبکہ ان کی پیدائش رسول اللہ ﷺ کی ولادت کے اکتالیس سال بعد ہوئی ۔
Hazrat Imam Jaffar Sadiq farmate hain : Hazrat Fatima ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) ka inteqal 21 saal ki umar mein hua, jabke un ki paidaish Rasul Allah ﷺ ki wiladat ke iktalees saal baad hui.
The Mother of the Believers, Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "Between (the death of) the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and (the death of) Fatima, may Allah be pleased with her, was (a period of) two months."
ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں : نبی اکرم ﷺ ( کی وفات ) اور حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا ( کی وفات ) کے درمیان دو ماہ ( کا وقفہ ) ہے ۔
Am ul momineen hazrat ayesha razi allaho anha farmati hain : nabi akram sallallaho alaihi wasallam ( ki wafat ) aur hazrat fatima razi allaho anha ( ki wafat ) ke darmiyaan do mah ( ka waqfa ) hai ..
It is narrated on the authority of Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) lived for only two months after the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
حضرت جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے مروی ہے کہ حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا ، رسول اللہ ﷺ کی وفات کے بعد صرف دو مہینے زندہ رہیں ۔
Hazrat Jaber Raziallahu Anhu se marvi hai ki Hazrat Fatima Raziallahu Anha, Rasool Allah SAW ki wafat ke baad sirf do mahine zinda raheen.
It is narrated on the authority of Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that at the time of the Prophet's (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) death, Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) said, "O my dear father! How close you have become to your Lord. O my dear father! Paradise is your abode. O my dear father! When you reach the presence of your Lord, how much honor Allah, the Exalted, will bestow upon you. O my dear father! When you meet your Lord, the Almighty and His angels will send salutations upon you." And when Fatima (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away, Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) recited the following verses:
"Separation is inevitable in the meeting of two friends; rarely anyone escapes separation.
And the fact that I have lost two friends, one after the other, is clear proof that no friend (in this world) remains forever."
" حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ کی وفات کے موقع پر حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا یوں کہتی تھی ’’ اے میرے ابا جان ! آپ اپنے رب کے کتنے قریب ہو گئے ہیں ، اے میرے ابا جان ! جنت خلد آپ کا ٹھکانہ ہے ، اے میرے ابا جان ! جب آپ اپنے رب کی بارگاہ میں پہنچے ہوں گے تو اللہ کریم نے آپ کو کتنی عزت دی ہو گی ، اے میرے ابا جان ! جب آپ نے اپنے رب سے ملاقات کی ہو گی تو رب تعالیٰ اور اس کے فرشتے آپ پر سلام بھیج رہے ہوں گے ، اور جب حضرت فاطمہ رضی اللہ عنہا کا انتقال ہوا تو حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے درج ذیل اشعار کہے ۔
دو دوستوں کے ملاپ میں جدائی بہرحال ہوتی ہے کوئی شاذونادر ہی فراق سے بچا ہو گا ۔
اور میں نے جو یکے بعد دیگرے دو دوست کھو دیئے ہیں یہ اس بات کا بین ثبوت ہے کہ کوئی دوست ( دنیا میں ) ہمیشہ نہیں رہتا ۔"
Hazrat Ali Razi Allah Anhu se riwayat hai keh Rasool Allah SAW ki wafat ke mauqa par Hazrat Fatima Razi Allah Anha yun kehti thi '' Aye mere Abba Jaan! Aap apne Rab ke kitne kareeb ho gaye hain, Aye mere Abba Jaan! Jannat ul Firdous aap ka thikana hai, Aye mere Abba Jaan! Jab aap apne Rab ki bargah mein pahunche honge to Allah Kareem ne aap ko kitni izzat di hogi, Aye mere Abba Jaan! Jab aap ne apne Rab se mulaqat ki hogi to Rab ul ta'ala aur uske farishtay aap par salam bhej rahe honge, aur jab Hazrat Fatima Razi Allah Anha ka inteqal hua to Hazrat Ali Razi Allah Anhu ne darj zail ashaar kahe.
Do doston ke milap mein judai behar haal hoti hai koi shaz-o-nader hi firaq se bacha hoga.
Aur maine jo yake baad digray do dost kho diye hain yeh is baat ka bain suboot hai keh koi dost (duniya mein) hamesha nahi rehta.
Asma bint Umays (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I and Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the ritual bath to the daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him).
حضرت اسماء بنت عمیس رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں : میں نے اور حضرت علی رضی اللہ عنہ نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی صاحبزادی کو غسل دیا ۔
Hazrat Asma bint Umays razi Allah anha farmati hain : mein ne aur Hazrat Ali razi Allah anhu ne Rasul Allah ﷺ ki sahibzadi ko ghusl diya .
