Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that some Bedouin from 'Uraynah came to the Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and accepted Islam, but the climate of Madinah did not suit them; their skin turned yellow and their bellies became swollen. The Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent them to some milk camels of his and told them to drink their milk and urine until they recovered. Then they killed their herdsmen and drove off the camels. The Prophet of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent (men) after them and they were brought back, then he had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes were branded.’ Abdul-Malik, (the Umayyed ruler), ased Anas ( رضي الله تعالى عنه), when he was narrating this Hadith, ‘was that (punishment) for Kufr or for sin?’ He said, for Kufr.’

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ قبیلہ عرینہ کے کچھ اعرابی ( دیہاتی ) نبی اکرم ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور اسلام قبول کیا، انہیں مدینے کی آب و ہوا راس نہیں آئی، یہاں تک کہ ان کے رنگ پیلے پڑ گئے، ان کے پیٹ پھول گئے تو نبی اکرم ﷺ نے انہیں دودھ والی اونٹنیوں کے پاس بھیجا اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ وہ ان کا دودھ اور پیشاب پئیں، یہاں تک کہ جب وہ ٹھیک ہو گئے تو انہوں نے ان چرواہوں کو قتل کر دیا اور اونٹوں کو ہانک لے گئے، نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ان کی تلاش میں کچھ لوگ بھیجے، انہیں لایا گیا تو آپ نے ان کے ہاتھ اور پیر کاٹ دیے، اور ان کی آنکھوں میں گرم سلائی پھیر کر ان کو پھوڑ دیا۔ امیر المؤمنین عبدالملک نے انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا ( وہ ان سے یہ حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے ) : کفر ( ردت ) کی وجہ سے یا جرم کی وجہ سے ( ان کے ساتھ ایسا کیا گیا ) ؟ انہوں نے کہا: کفر ( ردت ) کی وجہ سے۔
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke qabila e Arina ke kuchh Arabi ( dehati ) Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ke pas aaye aur Islam qabool kiya, unhen Madina ki ab o hawa ras nahi aai, yahan tak ke un ke rang pille pad gaye, un ke pet phool gaye to Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ne unhen doodh wali oontiyon ke pas bheja aur unhen hukm diya ke woh un ka doodh aur peshab peen, yahan tak ke jab woh theek ho gaye to unhon ne in charwahoon ko qatl kar diya aur oonton ko hank le gaye, Nabi e akram salla allahu alaihi wasallam ne un ki talash mein kuchh log bheje, unhen laya gaya to aap ne un ke hath aur pair kaat diye, aur un ki aankhon mein garm salai phir kar un ko phoor diya. Ameerul Momineen Abdul Malik ne Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) se kaha ( woh un se yeh hadees bayan kar rahe the ): kufr ( raddat ) ki wajah se ya jurm ki wajah se ( un ke sath aisa kiya ) ? Unhon ne kaha: kufr ( raddat ) ki wajah se.
أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ مُصَرِّفٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ قَدِمَ أَعْرَابٌ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ إِلَى نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَسْلَمُوا فَاجْتَوَوُا الْمَدِينَةَ حَتَّى اصْفَرَّتْ أَلْوَانُهُمْ وَعَظُمَتْ بُطُونُهُمْ فَبَعَثَ بِهِمْ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى لِقَاحٍ لَهُ فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا وَأَبْوَالِهَا حَتَّى صَحُّوا فَقَتَلُوا رُعَاتِهَا وَاسْتَاقُوا الإِبِلَ فَبَعَثَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُتِيَ بِهِمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَّرَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ . قَالَ أَمِيرُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ لأَنَسٍ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُهُ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ بِكُفْرٍ أَوْ بِذَنْبٍ قَالَ بِكُفْرٍ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4036
Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab narrated that ‘some Arab people came to the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and accepted Islam, then they became sick. The Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent them to some milk camels to drink their milk. While they were with them, they attacked the herdsman, who was a slave of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and killed him. They drove off the camels and claimed that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had said, 'O Allah, make thirsty the one who makes the family of Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) thirsty tonight.' The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent (men) after them, and they were caught. Then he had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes gouged out.’ Some of them (the narrators) added more than others, except that in his narration of this Hadith, Mu'awiyah said, ‘they drove them off to the land of Shirk.’

تابعی سعید بن المسیب کہتے ہیں کہ کچھ عرب رسول اللہ ﷺ کے پاس آئے اور اسلام قبول کیا، پھر وہ بیمار پڑ گئے تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے انہیں دودھ والی اونٹنیوں کے پاس بھیجا تاکہ وہ ان کا دودھ پیئں۔ وہ انہیں اونٹنیوں میں رہے، پھر انہوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے غلام چرواہے پر نیت خراب کی اور اسے قتل کر دیا اور اونٹنیاں ہانک لے گئے، لوگوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے یہ دعا کی: «اللہم عطش من عطش آل محمد الليلة» اے اللہ! اسے پیاسا رکھ جس نے محمد کے گھر والوں کو اس رات پیاسا رکھا ، پھر رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان کی تلاش میں کچھ لوگ بھیجے۔ جب وہ گرفتار کر لیے گئے تو آپ نے ان کے ہاتھ کاٹ دیے اور ان کی آنکھیں گرم سلائی سے پھوڑ دیں۔ راویوں میں سے بعض دوسرے سے کچھ زیادہ بیان کرتے ہیں، سوائے معاویہ کے، انہوں نے اس حدیث میں کہا ہے کہ وہ ہانک کر مشرکوں کی زمین کی طرف لے گئے۔
Taabi'i Saeed bin al-Masiib kehte hain ke kuchh Arab Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke pas aaye aur Islam qubool kiya, phir woh beemar pad gaye to Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne unhen doodh wali oontiyon ke pas bheja taka woh in ka doodh piyan. Woh inhen oontiyon mein rahe, phir unhon ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ke ghulam charwahe par niyat kharab ki aur usey qatl kar diya aur oontiyan hank le gaye, logon ne bayan kiya ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne yeh dua ki: «Allahumma atash min atash Aal Muhammad al-laylah» Aay Allah! Usey piyasa rakh jis ne Muhammad ke ghar walon ko is raat piyasa rakha, phir Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne in ki talash mein kuchh log bheje. Jab woh giraftar kar liye gaye to aap ne in ke hath kaat diye aur in ki aankhen garam sulai se phoor den. Raviyon mein se baaz dusre se kuchh ziyada bayan karte hain, siwaye Muawiya ke, unhon ne is hadees mein kaha hai ke woh hank kar mushrikon ki zamin ki taraf le gaye.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، وَمُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، قَالَ قَدِمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَسْلَمُوا ثُمَّ مَرِضُوا فَبَعَثَ بِهِمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِلَى لِقَاحٍ لِيَشْرَبُوا مِنْ أَلْبَانِهَا فَكَانُوا فِيهَا ثُمَّ عَمَدُوا إِلَى الرَّاعِي غُلاَمِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَتَلُوهُ وَاسْتَاقُوا اللِّقَاحَ فَزَعَمُوا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " اللَّهُمَّ عَطِّشَ مَنْ عَطَّشَ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ اللَّيْلَةَ " . فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي طَلَبِهِمْ فَأُخِذُوا فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ . وَبَعْضُهُمْ يَزِيدُ عَلَى بَعْضٍ إِلاَّ أَنَّ مُعَاوِيَةَ قَالَ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ اسْتَاقُوا إِلَى أَرْضِ الشِّرْكِ .

Ummul Momineen Ayesha ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) ا) kehti hain kuchh logon ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki oontein ko lootta to Aap ne unhen giraftar kiya aur un ke hath aur paaon kaat diye aur un ki aankhein phoor dein.
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخَلَنْجِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ سُعَيْرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رضى الله عنها قَالَتْ أَغَارَ قَوْمٌ عَلَى لِقَاحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَخَذَهُمْ فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4038

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، ح وَأَنْبَأَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي الْوَزِيرِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الدَّرَاوَرْدِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ قَوْمًا، أَغَارُوا عَلَى لِقَاحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأُتِيَ بِهِمُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَطَّعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ . اللَّفْظُ لاِبْنِ الْمُثَنَّى .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4039
Hisham narrated from his father that some people raided the camels of the Apostle of Allah ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم). He had their hands and feet cut off and their eyes gouged out.

عروہ سے روایت ہے کہ کچھ لوگوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کے اونٹ لوٹ لیے، تو آپ ﷺ ان کے ہاتھ اور پیر کاٹ دیے اور ان کی آنکھیں پھوڑ دیں۔

أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ قَوْمًا، أَغَارُوا عَلَى إِبِلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4040
Urwah bin Az-Zubair narrated that some people from 'Uraynah raided the milk camels of the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and drove them off and killed a slave of his. The Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) sent (men) after them and they were caught, and he had their hands and feet cut off, and their eyes gouged out.’

عروہ بن زبیر کہتے ہیں کہ قبیلہ عرینہ کے کچھ لوگوں نے رسول اللہ ﷺ کی اونٹنیاں لوٹ لیں، انہیں ہانک لے گئے اور آپ کے غلام کو قتل کر دیا۔ تو رسول اللہ ﷺ نے ان کے پیچھے کچھ لوگ روانہ کیے، وہ سب گرفتار کر لیے گئے، تو آپ نے ان کے ہاتھ اور پاؤں کاٹ دیے اور ان کی آنکھیں پھوڑ دیں۔
Aroha bin Zubair kehte hain ke Qabila Arina ke kuchh logon ne Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ki oontain loot lein, unhen hank le gaye aur aap ke ghulam ko qatl kar dia. To Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un ke pichhe kuchh log rawana kiye, woh sab girftar kar liye gaye, to aap ne un ke hath aur paon kaat diye aur un ki aankhen phoor dein.
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ، قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَذَكَرَ، آخَرَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَغَارَ نَاسٌ مِنْ عُرَيْنَةَ عَلَى لِقَاحِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَاسْتَاقُوهَا وَقَتَلُوا غُلاَمًا لَهُ فَبَعَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي آثَارِهِمْ فَأُخِذُوا فَقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ وَأَرْجُلَهُمْ وَسَمَلَ أَعْيُنَهُمْ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4041
Abdullah bin 'Umar (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated from the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) that the Verse about Al-Muharabah - ِْ فَسَادًا أَنْ يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ ضْ َرْ نَ فِي األَ سُولَهُ وَ يَسْعَوَّ َ وَ رِ بُونَ َّللاَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارإِنَّمَا جَز ْ يٌ فِيِ زِ ۚ ذََٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خْ ضْ َرْ ا مِنَ األْ يُنْفَوَ فٍ أَوِ الْ جُلُهُمْ مِنْ خْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَريُصَلَّبُوا أَو ۖ الدُّنْيَا ٌَ ةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمِ رْ خوَلَهُمْ فِي اآل [The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and perpetrate disorders in the land is that they be crucified, or their hands and feet cut off from alternate sides, or they be banished far away from the land; this is their degradation in the world, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.] (Al-Ma’idah – 33), was revealed concerning them.’

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما رسول اللہ ﷺ سے ( اسی طرح کا واقعہ ) نقل کرتے ہیں، اور کہتے ہیں کہ انہیں کے سلسلے میں آیت محاربہ نازل ہوئی۔
Abdul-Allah bin Umar ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) se ( isi tarah ka waqia) naql karte hain, aur kehte hain ke unhein ke silsile mein aayat muharabah nazil hui.
Abu Az-Zinad ru) narrated that the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) had the (hands and feet) of those who drove off his camels cut off, and their eyes gouged out with fire. Allah approved of that and revealed this verse -
ِْ فَسَادًا أَنْ ضْ َرْ نَ فِي األَ سُولَهُ وَ يَسْعَوَّ َ وَ رِ بُونَ َّللاَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارإِنَّمَا جَز َِ ۚ ذََٰلِكَ لْ ضْ َرْ ا مِنَ األْ يُنْفَوَ فٍ أَوِ الْ جُلُهُمْ مِنْ خْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَويُقَتَّلُوا أَو ۖ ْ يٌ فِي الدُّنْيَاِ زهُمْ خ ٌَ ةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمِ رْ خوَلَهُمْ فِي اآل [The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle ( صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and perpetrate disorders in the land is that they be crucified, or their hands and feet cut off from alternate sides, or they be banished far away from the land; this is their degradation in the world, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.] (Al-Ma’idah – 33).

ابوالزناد سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے جب ان کے ہاتھ کاٹے جن ہوں نے آپ کی اونٹنیاں چرائی تھیں اور آگ سے ان کی آنکھوں کو پھوڑا تو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس سلسلے میں آپ کی سرزنش کی ۱؎، چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے یہ مکمل آیت اتاری «إنما جزاء الذين يحاربون اللہ ورسوله» ان لوگوں کا بدلہ جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑتے ہیں … الخ
Abu al-Zanaad se riwayat hai ke Rasool Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne jab un ke hath kaate jin hon ne aap ki untniyan churaai thi aur aag se un ki aankhon ko phoda to Allah Ta'ala ne is silsile mein aap ki sarzanish ki 1, chanancha Allah Ta'ala ne yeh mukaml aayat utari «Innama jaza alladhina yuharribuna Allaha wa rasooluhu» in logoon ka badla jo Allah aur us ke Rasool se larte hain... alkh
Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) only had the eyes of those people gouged out, because they had gouged out the eyes of the herdsmen.

انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے ان لوگوں کی آنکھیں پھوڑ دیں کیونکہ ان لوگوں نے چرواہوں کی آنکھیں پھوڑ دی تھیں۔
Ins (رضي الله تعالى عنه) kehte hain ke Nabi-e-Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne un logon ki aankhen phoor dein kyunki un logon ne churahon ki aankhen phoor di thin.
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الأَعْرَجُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، - ثِقَةٌ مَأْمُونٌ - قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ إِنَّمَا سَمَلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَعْيُنَ أُولَئِكَ لأَنَّهُمْ سَمَلُوا أَعْيُنَ الرُّعَاةِ .
Sunan an-Nasa'i 4044
Anas bin Malik (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a Jewish man killed an Ansari girl for her jewelry and threw her (body) in an empty well and crushed her head with a rock. He was caught and the Apostle of Allah (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered that he be stoned to death.

انس رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ ایک یہودی نے ایک انصاری لڑکی کو اس کے زیور کی لالچ میں قتل کر کے، اسے کنوئیں میں پھینک دیا اور اوپر سے اس کا سر پتھروں سے کچل دیا، تو نبی اکرم ﷺ نے حکم دیا کہ اسے پتھروں سے اس طرح مارا جائے کہ وہ مر جائے ۔

Anas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated that a man killed an Ansari girl for her jewelry, then he threw her (body) in an empty well and crushed her head with a rock. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ordered that he be stoned to death.

انس رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ ایک شخص نے ایک انصاری لڑکی کو اس کے ایک زیور کی لالچ میں قتل کر دیا، پھر اسے ایک کنوئیں میں پھینک دیا اور اس کا سر پتھر سے کچل دیا۔ تو نبی اکرم ﷺ نے حکم دیا کہ اسے پتھروں سے اس طرح مارا جائے کہ وہ ہلاک ہو جائے ۔
Ins razi Allah anhu se riwayat hai ke aik shakhs ne ek ansari laraki ko us ke ek zewar ki lalach mein qatl kar diya, phir use aik kunwain mein phenk diya aur us ka sir pathar se kuchal diya. To Nabi Akram (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) ne hukm diya ke usse pathroon se is tarah mara jaaye ke woh halak ho jaaye.
Ibn Abbas (رضي الله تعالى عنه) narrated, ‘concerning the statement of Allah - َ َِّ بُونَ َّللاَاءُ الَّذِينَ يُحَارإِنَّمَا جَز ِْ جُلُهُمْ مْ تُقَطَّعَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْ يُصَلَّبُوا أَوِ فَسَادًا أَنْ يُقَتَّلُوا أَوْ ضْ َرْ نَ فِي األَ سُولَهُ وَ يَسْعَووَ ر ٌْ يِ زِ ۚ ذََٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خْ ضْ َرْ ا مِنَ األْ يُنْفَوَ فٍ أَوِ النْ خ ۖ فِي الدُّنْيَا ٌَ ةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمِ رْ خوَلَهُمْ فِي اآل [The punishment for those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) and perpetrate disorders in the land is that they be crucified, or their hands and feet cut off from alternate sides, or they be banished far away from the land; this is their degradation in the world, and for them in the Hereafter is a great punishment.] (Al-Ma’idah – 33), ‘this Verse was revealed concerning the idolators. Whoever among them repents before he is captured, you have no way against him. This Verse does not apply to the Muslims. Whoever kills, spreads mischief in the land, and wages war against Allah and His Apostle, then joins the disbelievers before he can be caught, there is nothing to prevent the Hadd punishment being carried out on him because of what he did.’

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما آیت کریمہ «إنما جزاء الذين يحاربون اللہ ورسوله» ”ان لوگوں کا بدلہ جو اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑتے ہیں …“ کے سلسلے میں کہتے ہیں کہ یہ آیت مشرکین کے سلسلے میں نازل ہوئی، پس ان میں سے جو شخص توبہ کرنے سے پہلے اسے پکڑا جائے تو اس کو سزا دینے کا کوئی جواز نہیں، یہ آیت مسلمان شخص کے لیے نہیں ہے، پس جو ( مسلمان ) زمین میں فساد پھیلائے اور اللہ اور اس کے رسول سے لڑے، پھر پکڑے جانے سے پہلے کفار سے مل جائے تو اس کی جو بھی حد ہو گی، اس کے نفاذ میں کوئی چیز رکاوٹ نہیں ہو گی ۔
Abdul'lah ibn Abbas ( (رضي الله تعالى عنه) a aayat kareema «Inma jazaa alladhina yuharribuuna allaha wa rasooluhu» “in logoon ka badla jo allaha aur uske rasool se larte hain …“ ke silsile mein kahte hain ke yeh aayat mushrikeen ke silsile mein nazil hui, pas in mein se jo shakhs toba karne se pahle use pakda jaaye to usko saza dene ka koi jawaz nahi, yeh aayat musalman shakhs ke liye nahi hai, pas jo ( musalman ) zameen mein fasad phailane aur allaha aur uske rasool se lare, phir pakde jaane se pahle kufar se mil jaaye to uski jo bhi had ho gi, uske nifaaz mein koi cheez rukawat nahi ho gi 1؎.
