It is narrated from Hazrat Yahya bin Ja'dah that he used to say: "Act while you are afraid, and leave the act when you desire it. Even if righteous deeds are few, be consistent in them."
حضرت یحییٰ بن جعدہ سے روایت ہے کہ وہ کہا کرتے تھے تم عمل کرو درآنحالیکہ تم ڈر رہے ہو اور عمل کو چھوڑ دو جبکہ تمہیں اس کی چاہت ہو۔ عمل صالح تھوڑا بھی ہو تم اس پر مداومت کرو۔
Hazrat Yahya bin Jaada se riwayat hai ki woh kaha karte thay tum amal karo daran halika tum dar rahay ho aur amal ko chhor do jabke tumhen is ki chahat ho. Amal saleh thoda bhi ho tum is par mudawamat karo.
It is narrated from Hazrat Yahya bin Ja'dah that Hazrat Yahya said, "When a person prostrates," and Hazrat Ibn Mahdi said, "When a person places his forehead (on the ground), then he is freed from pride."
حضرت یحییٰ بن جعدہ سے روایت ہے حضرت یحییٰ کہتے ہیں جب آدمی سجدہ کرے اور حضرت ابن مہدی کہتے ہیں جب آدمی اپنی پیشانی کو رکھ دیتا ہے تو وہ تکبر سے بری ہوجاتا ہے۔
Hazrat Yahya bin Jada se riwayat hai Hazrat Yahya kahte hain jab aadmi sajdah kare aur Hazrat Ibn Mahdi kahte hain jab aadmi apni peshani ko rakh deta hai to wo takabbur se bari hojaata hai.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat A'mash that he said: I heard people mentioning Hazrat Shuraih, that he saw one of his neighbors who was going. He asked: What happened to you? He said: We are free. Shuraih said: Is this the command for a free man?
حضرت اعمش سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے لوگوں کو حضرت شریح کے حوالہ سے ذکر کرتے سنا کہ انھوں نے اپنے ایک پڑوسی کو دیکھا جو جارہے تھے۔ پوچھا : تمہیں کیا ہوا ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : ہم فارغ ہوگئے ہیں۔ شریح نے کہا : فارغ آدمی کو یہی حکم ہے ؟ “
Hazrat Aamash se riwayat hai woh kehte hain ke main ne logon ko Hazrat Shurai ke hawale se zikar karte suna ke unhon ne apne aik padosi ko dekha jo ja rahe the. Pucha: tumhen kya hua hai? Unhon ne kaha: hum farigh hogaye hain. Shurai ne kaha: farigh aadmi ko yahi hukum hai?
Hazrat Abū Sinān narrates, saying that once, Hazrat Abdullah bin Abu Al-Hadhil was complaining about his sins, when a man said to him, "O Abul Mughirah! Are you not righteous?" The narrator says, "He (Hazrat Abdullah) said, 'O Allah! One of your servants is approaching me (with condemnation) and I make You a witness to his anger.'"
حضرت ابوسنان بیان کرتے ہیں کہتے ہیں کہ حضرت عبداللہ بن ابوالہذیل ایک دن اپنے گناہوں کی شکایت کررہے تھے تو ان سے ایک آدمی نے کہا : اے ابوالمغیرہ ! کیا تم متقی نہیں ہو۔ راوی کہتے ہیں انھوں نے کہا : اے اللہ ! تیرا ایک بندہ میرے قریب ہو رہا ہے اور میں تجھے اس کے غصہ پر گواہ بناتا ہوں۔
Hazrat Abusanaan bayan karte hain kehte hain ke Hazrat Abdullah bin Abu alhazeel aik din apne gunahon ki shikayat kar rahe the to unse aik aadmi ne kaha: Aye Abul Mughirah! kya tum muttaqi nahi ho. Rawi kehte hain unhon ne kaha: Aye Allah! tera aik banda mere qareeb ho raha hai aur main tujhe iske ghusse par gawah banata hun.
It is narrated on the authority of Hazrat Rubai' bin Harash that he said that someone came to me and told me that your brother has passed away. So I came quickly. He was covered in his clothes and I was standing by my brother's head, asking for forgiveness for him, and reciting "Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un" when suddenly he removed the cloth from his face and said: "Peace be upon you!" We replied, "And upon you be peace. Glory be to Allah." He said, "Glory be to Allah. I was presented before Allah after you. There, I was received with a gentle breeze and fragrance, and by a Lord who was not angry. And I was clothed in a green garment of silk and satin. And I found the matter even easier than you think. And do not sit in reliance (on good deeds). I have been granted permission by my Lord to inform you and give you glad tidings. Take me to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Because you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) promised me that I would stay here until you came." Then this person died at the same spot. The narrator says that he picked up a pebble and threw it. The narrator says, "I do not know which one was faster, him or this."
حضرت ربعی بن حراش سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ میرے پاس کوئی آیا اور مجھے کہا تمہارا بھائی مرگیا ہے۔ پس میں جلدی سے آیا۔ اس کو اس کے کپڑوں میں ڈھانپ دیا گیا تھا اور میں اپنے بھائی کے سر کے پاس کھڑا اس کے لیے استغفار کررہا تھا۔ اور انا للہ پڑھ رہا تھا کہ اچانک اس کے چہرے سے کپڑا ہٹا اور اس نے کہا : السلام علیکم ! ہم نے جواب میں کہا۔ وعلیک السلام۔ سبحان اللہ۔ اس نے کہا : سبحان اللہ۔ میں تمہارے بعد اللہ کے پاس حاضر ہوا تھا۔ وہاں میرا استقبال باد نسیم اور ریحان کے ساتھ اور ایسے پروردگار نے کیا جو غصہ میں نہیں تھا۔ اور مجھے سندس اور ریشم کا سبز لباس پہنایا۔ اور میں نے تمہارے گمان سے بھی آسان معاملہ پایا۔ اور تم بھروسہ کر کے نہ بیٹھ جاؤ۔ میں نے اپنے رب سے اس بات کی اجازت لی ہے کہ میں تمہیں خبر دوں اور بشارت دوں۔ تم مجھے جناب رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کی طرف لے چلو۔ کیونکہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے میرے ساتھ عہد کیا ہے کہ میں تمہارے آنے تک یہیں رہوں گا۔ پھر یہ صاحب اسی جگہ فوت ہوگئے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں اس نے ایک کنکری پکڑی اور پھینک دی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں۔ مجھے یہ بات معلوم نہیں ہے کہ وہ زیادہ تیز تھے یا یہ۔
Hazrat Rubai bin Harash se riwayat hai woh kehte hain ke mere pass koi aaya aur mujhe kaha tumhara bhai mar gaya hai. Pas main jaldi se aaya. Is ko is ke kapron mein dhaanp diya gaya tha aur main apne bhai ke sar ke pass khara is ke liye istighfar kar raha tha. Aur inna lillah parh raha tha ke achanak is ke chehre se kapda hata aur is ne kaha : Assalamu Alaikum ! Hum ne jawab mein kaha. Wa Alaikum Assalam. Subhan Allah. Is ne kaha : Subhan Allah. Main tumhare baad Allah ke pass hazir hua tha. Wahan mera istiaqbal bad e nasim aur rayhan ke sath aur aise parwardigaar ne kiya jo ghusse mein nahi tha. Aur mujhe sindas aur resham ka sabz libas pehnaya. Aur main ne tumhare guman se bhi aasan mamla paya. Aur tum bharosa kar ke na baith jao. Main ne apne rab se is baat ki ijazat li hai ke main tumhen khabar dun aur basharat dun. Tum mujhe janab rasool Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ki taraf le chalo. Kyunki aap (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) ne mere sath ahd kiya hai ke main tumhare aane tak yahin rahun ga. Phir yeh sahib isi jagah fout ho gaye. Rawi kehte hain is ne ek kankari pakri aur phenk di. Rawi kehte hain. Mujhe yeh baat maloom nahi hai ke woh zyada tez the ya yeh.
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Aun that he said that when the righteous people used to meet each other, some of them would advise others on three things, and when they were absent, they would write these down to each other. Whoever works for his Hereafter, Allah Almighty will suffice him for his world. Whoever sets right his matter between himself and his Lord, Allah Almighty will suffice him from the people. And whoever corrects his private life, Allah Almighty will correct his public life.
حضرت ابوعون سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں کہ اہل خیر جب باہم ملتے تھے تو ان میں سے بعض، بعض کو تین باتوں کی وصیت کرتے تھے اور جب یہ غائب ہوتے تو پھر ایک دوسرے کو یہ تحریر کرتے۔ جو شخص اپنی آخرت کے لیے عمل کرتا ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی دنیا کے لیے اس کو کافی ہوجاتے ہیں۔ جو شخص اپنے اور اپنے اللہ کے درمیان معاملہ درست رکھتا ہے اللہ تعالیٰ اس کو لوگوں کی طرف سے کفایت کرجاتے ہیں۔ جو شخص اپنی خلوت کو درست رکھتا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی جلوت کو درست کردیتے ہیں۔
Hazrat AbuAun se riwayat hai woh kahte hain ke ahl-e-khair jab baham milte thay toh un mein se baaz, baaz ko teen baaton ki wasiyat karte thay aur jab yeh ghaib hote toh phir ek dusre ko yeh tahrir karte. Jo shakhs apni akhirat ke liye amal karta hai toh Allah ta'ala uski duniya ke liye usko kaafi hojaty hain. Jo shakhs apne aur apne Allah ke darmiyan mamla durust rakhta hai Allah ta'ala usko logon ki taraf se kifayat karjate hain. Jo shakhs apni khalwat ko durust rakhta hai Allah ta'ala uski jalwat ko durust kardety hain.
It is narrated on the authority of Hadrat Abdullah bin Sinan that he saw one of his friends in a dream. So he asked him when you saw the matter, what did you find best? He said: A few prostrations in the mosque.
حضرت عبداللہ بن سنان سے روایت ہے کہ انھوں نے اپنے ایک دوست کو خواب میں دیکھا۔ تو اس سے پوچھا جب تم نے معاملہ دیکھا تو کون سی چیز تمہیں سب سے افضل نظر آئی ؟ انھوں نے کہا : مسجد کے چند سجدے۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Sinan se riwayat hai ki unhon ne apne aik dost ko khwab mein dekha to us se poocha jab tum ne mamla dekha to kon si cheez tumhen sab se afzal nazar aai unhon ne kaha masjid ke chand sijde
Narrated Abdullah bin Isa: He said: There was a man among the people before you who worshipped Allah on land for forty years. Then he prayed. O Lord! I desire to worship You in the sea. So some people came and he asked them to ride: They took him (in the boat). Then the boat carried them as long as God willed. Then the boat stopped. There was a tree by the water. The narrator says that the man (to the boatmen) said: Let me down by this tree. The narrator says: The people said: How will you live in this place? He said: I asked you to take me for a fee, so wherever my heart desires, you take me down there. So those people dropped him there and the boat took the rest of the people and left. Then an angel wanted to ascend to heaven and he read the words by which he used to ascend to heaven, but he could not ascend to heaven. He realized that it was the result of some mistake on his part. So he came to the man of the tree and asked him to intercede for him with his Lord. The narrator says. The man prayed and prayed for the angel. The narrator says: This worshiper also prayed to God that this angel should take his soul so that the pain from the angel of death would be less. So when the death of this man came, this angel appeared and he said, I have requested my Lord to accept my intercession for you as He accepted your intercession for me, and that I should take your soul. So, I will take your soul however you wish. The narrator says: Then this worshiper prostrated and a tear came out of his eye and he died.
حضرت عبداللہ بن عیسیٰ سے روایت ہے وہ کہتے ہیں تم سے پہلے لوگوں میں ایک آدمی تھا جس نے چالیس سال تک خشکی میں اللہ کی عبادت کی۔ پھر اس نے دعا کی۔ اے پروردگار ! میں سمندر میں آپ کی عبادت کرنے کا شوق رکھتا ہوں۔ چنانچہ کچھ لوگ آئے اور اس نے ان سے سوار کرنے کو کہا : انھوں نے اس کو (کشتی میں) سوار کرلیا۔ پھر جب تک خدا کی مشیت تھی کشتی انھیں لے کر چلتی رہی۔ پھر کشتی ٹھہر گئی۔ وہاں پانی کے کنارے میں ایک درخت تھا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں اس آدمی نے (کشی والوں سے) کہا : مجھے اس درخت کے پاس اتار دو ۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : لوگوں نے کہا : تم اس جگہ کیسے زندہ رہو گے ؟ اس نے کہا : میں نے تمہیں اجرت پر اٹھانے کو کہا تھا پس جہاں میرا دل چاہے تم مجھے وہیں اتارو۔ چنانچہ ان لوگوں نے اس کو وہاں اتار دیا اور کشتی بقایا لوگوں کو لے کر پھر چل پڑی۔ پھر ایک فرشتے نے آسمان پر چڑھنا چاہا اور اس نے وہ کلمات پڑھے جن کے ذریعہ وہ آسمان پر چڑھتا تھا لیکن وہ آسمان پر نہ چڑھ سکا۔ اسے معلوم ہوا کہ یہ اس کی کسی غلطی کا نتیجہ ہے۔ چنانچہ وہ درخت والے کے پاس آیا اور اس سے کہا کہ وہ اس کے پروردگار کے پاس اس کی سفارش کرے۔ راوی کہتے ہیں۔ اس آدمی نے نماز پڑھی اور فرشتے کے لیے دعا کی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : اس عابد نے خدا سے یہ دعا بھی کی کہ اس کی روح یہ فرشتہ قبض کرے تاکہ ملک الموت سے ہلکی تکلیف ہو۔ چنانچہ جب اس آدمی کی موت آئی تو یہ فرشتہ حاضر ہوا اور اس نے کہا میں نے اپنے رب سے یہ درخواست کی ہے کہ وہ تیرے بارے میں میری بھی شفاعت قبول کریں جس طرح انھوں نے میرے بارے میں تیری شفاعت قبول کی تھی اور یہ کہ میں ہی تمہاری روح قبض کروں۔ پس جیسے تم چاہو گے میں تمہاری روح قبض کروں گا۔ راوی کہتے ہیں پھر اس عابد نے سجدہ کیا اور اس کی آنکھ سے آنسو نکلا اور وہ مرگیا۔
Hazrat Abdullah bin Isa se riwayat hai woh kehte hain tum se pehle logon mein ek aadmi tha jisne chalis saal tak khushki mein Allah ki ibadat ki. Phir usne dua ki. Aye Parwardigaar! mein samandar mein aap ki ibadat karne ka shauq rakhta hun. Chunancha kuch log aaye aur usne unse sawar karne ko kaha: unhon ne usko (kashti mein) sawar karliya. Phir jab tak Khuda ki mashiyat thi kashti unhen le kar chalti rahi. Phir kashti theher gayi. Wahan pani ke kinare mein ek darakht tha. Ravi kehte hain is aadmi ne (kashi walon se) kaha: mujhe is darakht ke paas utaar do. Ravi kehte hain: logon ne kaha: tum is jagah kaise zinda raho ge? usne kaha: mein ne tumhen ujrat par uthane ko kaha tha pas jahan mera dil chahe tum mujhe wahin utaaro. Chunancha un logon ne usko wahan utaar diya aur kashti baqaya logon ko le kar phir chal padi. Phir ek farishte ne aasman par chadhna chaha aur usne woh kalmaat padhe jin ke zariye woh aasman par chadhta tha lekin woh aasman par na chadh saka. Use maloom hua ke yeh uski kisi ghalti ka natija hai. Chunancha woh darakht wale ke paas aaya aur us se kaha ke woh uske Parwardigaar ke paas uski sifarish kare. Ravi kehte hain. Is aadmi ne namaz padhi aur farishte ke liye dua ki. Ravi kehte hain: is abid ne Khuda se yeh dua bhi ki ke uski rooh yeh farishta qabz kare taake malakul maut se halki takleef ho. Chunancha jab is aadmi ki maut aayi to yeh farishta hazir hua aur usne kaha mein ne apne Rabb se yeh darkhwast ki hai ke woh tere baare mein meri bhi sifarish qabool karen jis tarah unhon ne mere baare mein teri sifarish qabool ki thi aur yeh ke mein hi tumhari rooh qabz karun. Pas jaise tum chaho ge mein tumhari rooh qabz karun ga. Ravi kehte hain phir us abid ne sajda kiya aur uski aankh se aansu nikla aur woh mar gaya.
