Ibn Shihab narrated that it reached him that 'Aisha and Hafsa were observing voluntary fasts and were presented with food in the morning, and they ate it. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon them, and 'Aisha said, “Hafsa hastened to speak before I could, for she is the daughter of his uncle. She said, 'O Messenger of Allah, we were observing voluntary fasts and were presented with food, so we ate it.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'Make up for it with another day's fast."

(٨٣٦٣) ابن شہاب بیان کرتے ہیں کہ مجھ تک یہ بات پہنچی ہے کہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) اور حفصہ (رض) نے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی نفلی روزے کے ساتھ تو ان کے کھانے کا ھدیہ دیا گیا تو انھوں نے اس کے ساتھ افطار کرلیا تو ان کے پاس نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) داخل ہوئے تو عائشہ (رض) کہتی ہیں کہ حفصہ (رض) نے بات کرنے میں مجھ سے پہل کی اور وہ اپنے باپ کی بیٹی تھی۔ وہ کہتی ہیں : اے اللہ کے رسول ! میں نے اور عائشہ (رض) نے نفلی روزوں کے ساتھ صبح کی۔ پھر ہمیں کھانے کا ھدیہ ملا تو ہم نے افطار کرلیاتو رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کے عوض دوسرے دن میں قضا دینا۔
(8363) Ibne Shahab bayan karte hain ke mujh tak yeh baat pahunchi hai ke Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) aur Hafsah (RA) ne rozey ki halat mein subah ki nafli rozey ke sath tou un ke khaney ka hadiyah diya gaya tou unhon ne us ke sath iftar kar liya tou un ke paas Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dakhil huye tou Ayesha (RA) kehti hain ke Hafsah (RA) ne baat karne mein mujh se pehle ki aur woh apne baap ki beti thi. Woh kehti hain: Aye Allah ke Rasool! Mainein aur Ayesha (RA) ne nafli rozon ke sath subah ki. Phir hamein khaney ka hadiyah mila tou hum ne iftar kar liya tou Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Is ke awaz dusre din mein qaza dena.
Urwa bin Zubair narrated that Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "Hafsa and I were fasting when we were presented with food, and we desired to eat it, so we ate it. Then the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came in, and Hafsa spoke before me - for she was the daughter of his father - and told him everything. He said: 'Make it up by fasting another day.'"

(٨٣٦٤) عروہ بن زبیر (رض) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ وہ کہتی ہیں : میں اور حفصہ روزے سے تھیں کہ ہمیں کھاناھدیہ میں ملا تو ہمارے دل میں کھانے کی چاہت ابھری۔ سو ہم نے کھالیا ۔ پھر ہمارے پاس رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) داخل ہوئے تو حفصہ (رض) نے میرے سے پہل کی کہ وہ اپنے باپ کی بیٹی تھی اور ساری بات بیان کردی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا کہ دوسرے دن میں اس کی قضائی دینا۔
Uruah bin Zubair (RA) Sayyidah Ayesha (RA) se bayan karte hain ke woh kehti hain : mein aur Hafsah roze se thin ke hamen khana hadiya mein mila to hamare dil mein khane ki chahat ubhri. So hum ne kha liya. Phir hamare pass Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dakhil huye to Hafsah (RA) ne mere se pehle ki ke woh apne baap ki beti thi aur sari baat bayan kar di to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya ke dusre din mein is ki qaza dena.
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she and Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) were fasting and it was morning. The narrator said: I did not hear anything from Urwa about this, but people mentioned to me some things about the caliphate of Sulayman ibn Abd al-Malik, and Abd al-Malik was among those who would visit Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), so Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I and Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) were fasting and it was morning, and we were given a gift. We ate it. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon us, and Hafsa preceded me - she was the daughter of his father - and she mentioned this to you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: Make up for it with one day of fasting.

(٨٣٦٥) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں نے اور حفصہ (رض) نے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی۔ راوی کہتے ہیں : اس بارے میں میں نے عروۃ سے کچھ نہیں سنا لیکن لوگوں نے مجھے سلیمان بن عبدالملک کی خلافت کے بارے کچھ باتیں بیان کیں اور عبدالملک ان میں سے تھا جو سیدہ عائشہ (رض) کے پاس جاتے تھے تو سیدہ عائشہ (رض) نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے اور حفصہ (رض) روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی تو ہمیں ہدیہ دیا گیا۔ ہم نے کھالیا ۔ پھر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) داخل ہوئے ہمارے پاس تو حفصہ (رض) نے میرے سے پہل کی وہ اپنے باپ کی بیٹی تھی اور انھوں نے یہ بات آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو بتائی تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کے عوض ایک دن کی قضائی دو ۔
(8365) Syeda Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) bayan karti hain kay mein nay aur Hafsa (Razi Allah Anha) nay rozay ki halat mein subah ki۔ Ravi kehte hain : Is baray mein mein nay Uroowa say kuch nahin suna lekin logon nay mujhay Sulaiman bin Abdul Malik ki khilafat kay baray mein kuch baatain bayan ki aur Abdul Malik in mein say tha jo Syeda Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) kay pass jatay thay to Syeda Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) nay bayan kya kay mein nay aur Hafsa (Razi Allah Anha) rozay ki halat mein subah ki to humain hadiya diya gaya۔ Hum nay khaya ۔ Phir Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dakhil huay humare pass to Hafsa (Razi Allah Anha) nay mere say pehle ki woh apne baap ki beti thi aur unhon nay yeh baat aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko batai to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) nay farmaya : Is kay awaz ek din ki qazai do ۔.
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she and Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her) were fasting and in the morning, they were presented with food as a gift. The food was appealing, so they ate from it. Then, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) entered upon them. Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her), being the daughter of his father [in-law], hastened to ask before me, saying, "O Messenger of Allah! We were fasting and in the morning, we were given food and we ate from it." The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) smiled and said, "Observe a fast in its place for one day."

(٨٣٦٦) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) بیان کرتی ہیں کہ میں نے اور حفصہ (رض) نے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی اور ہمیں کھانے کا ہدیہ پیش کیا گیا اور کھانا بھی پرکشش تھا ۔ سو ہم نے اس میں سے کھا لیاتو ہمارے پاس نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) داخل ہوئے تو حفصہ (رض) نے سوال کرنے میں مجھ سے پہل کی اور وہ اپنے باپ کی بیٹی تھی اور کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! ہم نے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی تو ہمیں کھانا دیا گیا اور ہم نے اس میں سے کھالیا تو نبی کریم (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مسکرادیے۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس کے عوض ایک دن کا روزہ رکھنا۔
Seda Aisha (Raz) bayan karti hain keh maine aur Hafsa (Raz) ne rozy ki halat mein subah ki aur humain khanay ka hadiya pesh kiya gaya aur khana bhi purkashish tha. So hum ne us mein se kha liya to humare paas Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) dakhil hue to Hafsa (Raz) ne sawal karne mein mujh se pehle ki aur wo apne baap ki beti thi aur kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasool! Hum ne rozy ki halat mein subah ki to humain khana diya gaya aur hum ne us mein se kha liya to Nabi Kareem ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) muskura diye. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Is ke badle ek din ka roza rakhna.
(8367) Sufyan said: I heard from Zuhri, narrating from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and this Hadith is Mursal (narrated from a Successor directly from the Prophet).
(Sufyan said: It was said regarding Zuhri that it is from Urwah. They said: This incident occurred while leaving the gathering and the Iqamah of prayer had been called. Zuhri said: This is not from Urwah and Abu Bakr Juma said that Muhammad, etc. informed me about that time that if this Hadith was from Urwah, I would not have forgotten it. Ibn Juraij and Sufyan both testified, they were against Zuhri. They are people of justice that they did not hear it from Urwah; it is possible that it was correct before his death.

(٨٣٦٧) سفیان کہتے ہیں : میں نے زھری سے سنا ، وہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں اور یہ حدیث مرسل بیان کی ہے۔
(سفیان کہتے ہیں : زھری سے کہا گیا کہ وہ عروہ سے ہے۔ انھوں نے کہا : یہ بات مجلس سے اٹھتے وقت ہوئی اور اقامت نماز ہوچکی تھی۔ زھری نے کہا : یہ عروہ سے نہیں اور ابوبکر جمعہ کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے محمد وغیرہ نے خبر دی اس وقت کی کہ اگر یہ حدیث عروہ سے ہوتی تو میں نہ بھولتا۔ ابن جریح اور سفیان دونوں نے گواہی دی ہے زھری کے خلاف تھے وہ صاحب عدل ہیں کہ انھوں نے عروہ سے نہیں سنا ہے ان کا وصال کے لیے درست ہوسکتا ہے۔ )
(8367) Sufyan kehte hain : maine Zuhri se suna, woh Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) se bayan karte hain aur yeh hadees mursal bayan ki hai. (Sufyan kehte hain : Zuhri se kaha gaya keh woh Urwah se hai. Unhon ne kaha : yeh baat majlis se uthte waqt hui aur iqamat namaz ho chuki thi. Zuhri ne kaha : yeh Urwah se nahin aur Abu Bakr Juma kehte hain keh mujhe Muhammad waghaira ne khabar di us waqt ki keh agar yeh hadees Urwah se hoti toh main na bhulta. Ibn Juraij aur Sufyan donon ne gawahi di hai Zuhri ke khilaf they woh sahib adl hain keh unhon ne Urwah se nahin suna hai in ka wisal ke liye durust ho sakta hai).
Abu Bakr Atrim reported: I said to Abu Abd Allah Ahmad ibn Hanbal, "Do you know the hadith narrated by Yahya from Aisha, regarding Umra, that she said: 'I and Hafsa were observing a fast when the morning came...'? They denied it and said, 'Who narrated it?' I said, 'Jarir ibn Hazim.' They said, 'The hadiths of Jarir are illusions."

(٨٣٦٨) ابوبکر اٹرم بیان کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابو عبداللہ احمد بن حنبل سے کہا : کیا آپ یحییٰ سے اس حدیث کو جانتے ہیں جو انھوں نے عمرہ کے حوالے سے سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے بیان کی کہ وہ کہتی ہیں میں نے اور حفصہ (رض) اور روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی تو انھوں نے اس بات کا انکار کیا اور کہا کہ کس نے بیان کیا ہے میں نے کہا : جریربن حازم نے ۔ انھوں نے کہا : جریر کی احادیث وہم ہوتی ہیں۔

(8369) Ahmad ibn Mansur al-Ramadi said: I said to 'Ali ibn al-Madini, “O Abu al-Hasan! Do you know the hadith from Yahya ibn Sa'id that he narrated from Lady 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding 'Umrah, that she said, 'Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) and I were fasting when we reached the morning. He said to me, 'Who is this?' I said, 'Ibn Wahb is narrating from Jarir ibn Hazim.' So he smiled and said the same thing that he had said.'"

(٨٣٦٩) احمد بن منصور رمادی کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے علی بن مدینی سے کہا : اے ابو الحسن ! آپ یحییٰ بن سعید سے حدیث جانتے ہیں جو انھوں نے عمرہ کے واسطے سے سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے بیان کی کہ وہ کہتی ہیں میں نے اور حفصہ (رض) نے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کی تو انھوں نے مجھے کہا : یہ کون ہے ؟ میں نے کہا : ابن وہب جریر بن حازم سے بیان کرتے ہیں تو وہ مسکرادے اور وہی بات کہی جو انھوں نے کہی تھی۔
(8369) Ahmed bin Mansoor Ramadi kahte hain ki maine Ali bin Madini se kaha: Aye Abu al-Hasan! Aap Yahya bin Saeed se hadees jante hain jo unhon ne Umrah ke waste se Sayyida Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) se bayan ki ki woh kahti hain mainne aur Hafsa (Razi Allah Anha) ne roze ki halat mein subah ki to unhon ne mujhe kaha: Yeh kaun hai? Maine kaha: Ibn Wahab Jarir bin Hazim se bayan karte hain to woh muskarade aur wohi baat kahi jo unhon ne kahi thi.
'Urwa bin Zubair narrated from Aisha (RA) that she said: "Hafsa and I were given some food as a gift while we were fasting. One of us said to the other: 'Will you break your fast?' The other said: 'Yes.' So they both broke their fast. Then, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered upon them and said: 'What is this? You have broken your fast?' They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we were given a gift and we liked it, so we broke our fast.' He (PBUH) said: 'No, you must fast another day in its place.'"

(٨٣٧٠) عروہ بن زبیر (رض) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے کہا کہ مجھے اور حفصہ کو کھانے کا تحفہ دیا گیا اور ہم روزے سے تھیں تو ان میں سے ایک نے اپنی سہیلی سے کہا : کیا تو افطار کرے گی ؟ اس نے کہا : ہاں تو ان دونوں نے افطار کرلیا۔ پھر رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ان کے پاس داخل ہوئے تو انھوں نے کہا : اللہ کے رسول ! ہمیں ھدیہ دیا گیا۔ ہم نے اسے بہت پسند کیا اور ہم نے روزہ افطار کرلیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : نہیں تم پر روزہ اس دن کے عوض۔
Urooh bin Zubair (Razi Allah Anhu) Sayyida Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) se bayan karte hain ki unhon ne kaha ki mujhe aur Hafsa ko khane ka tohfa diya gaya aur hum rozey se thin to un mein se ek ne apni saheli se kaha: kya tu iftar karegi? usne kaha: haan, to un donon ne iftar karliya. phir Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) un ke paas dakhil huye to unhon ne kaha: Allah ke Rasul! hamen hadiya diya gaya. humne usay bahut pasand kiya aur humne roza iftar karliya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: nahin tum par roza is din ke awaz.
Sheikh explains that the hadith narrated by Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has also been narrated from another route. None of them are correct and its weakness has become clear due to contradictory hadiths.

(٨٣٧١) شیخ بیان کرتے ہیں کہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے حدیث دوسری طرف سے بھی بیان کی گئی ہے۔ اس میں سے کوئی بھی درست نہیں اور اس کی کمزوری واضح ہوچکی ہے برخلاف حدیث کی وجہ سے۔
(8371) sheikh bayan karte hain keh sayyida ayesha (rz) se hadees dusri taraf se bhi bayan ki gayi hai. is mein se koi bhi durust nahi aur is ki kamzori wazeh ho chuki hai barkhilaf hadees ki wajah se.
Ata' ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that he said: When one of you wakes up in the morning in a state of fasting, and then has a need to break the fast, then he should fast in its place (i.e., make up for it).

(٨٣٧٢) عطاء ابن عباس (رض) سے بیان کرتے ہیں کہ انھوں نے کہا : جب کوئی تم میں سے روزے کی حالت میں صبح کرے۔ پھر اسے افطار کی ضرورت پیش آگئی تو چاہیے کہ وہ اس کے عوض روزہ رکھے۔
Ata ibn Abbas (RA) se bayan karte hain ki unhon ne kaha : Jab koi tum mein se rozey ki halat mein subah kare. Phir use iftar ki zaroorat pesh a gayi to chahiye ki woh uske awaz roza rakhe.
