Chapter on Yellowish and Dark Discharge During Menstruation Days
باب الصفرة والكدرة في أيام الحيض حيض
Sunan al-Kubra Bayhaqi 1589
'Alqama bin Abi 'Alqama reported from his mother, who was a freed slave of the Mother of the Believers, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that Aisha said: "Women used to send me small cases containing cotton with yellowish menstrual blood on it, and I would say: 'Do not rush until you see the clear white discharge.'"

(١٥٨٩) علقمہ بن ابی علقمہ اپنی والدہ سے نقل فرماتے ہیں، وہ ام المؤمنین عائشہ (رض) کی آزاد کردہ باندی ہیں، فرماتی ہیں کہ سیدہ عائشہ (رض) نے فرمایا : عورتیں میری طرف صندوقچی بھیجتی تھیں، اس میں روئی ہوتی تھی، جسمیں حیض کے خون کی زردی ہوتی تھی تو میں کہتی کہ تم جلدی نہ کرو جب تک واضح سفیدی نہ دیکھ لو۔
Alqama bin Abi Alqama apni walida se naql farmate hain, woh Umm ul Momineen Ayesha (Raz) ki azad kardah bandi hain, farmati hain ke Sayyida Ayesha (Raz) ne farmaya: Aurtein meri taraf sanduqchi bhejti thin, us mein roi hoti thi, jis mein haiz ke khoon ki zurdi hoti thi to main kehti thi ke tum jaldi na karo jab tak wazeh sufaidi na dekh lo.
Narrated Zayd ibn Thabit's daughter: The women would ask for lamps in the middle of the night so they could check the state of their purity. She (Zayd ibn Thabit's daughter) found fault with them and would say: "What are these women doing?" (Meaning she did not approve of this action of the women).

(١٥٩٠) زید بن ثابت کی بیٹی سے روایت ہے کہ عورتیں آدھی رات کو چراغ منگواتی، تاکہ وہ اپنے طہر کی طرف دیکھیں اور وہ ان پر عیب لگاتی تھی اور کہتی تھی : عورتیں یہ کیا کرتی ہیں (یعنی عورتوں کے اس کام کو اچھا نہ سمجھتی تھیں) ۔
1590 Zaid bin Sabit ki beti se riwayat hai ki aurten aadhi raat ko chiragh mangwati, taaki woh apne tahar ki taraf dekhen aur woh un par aib lagati thi aur kehti thi: Aurten ye kya karti hain (yani aurton ke is kaam ko achcha nahin samajhti thin).
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that she used to forbid women from checking for their menstrual blood at night, saying that sometimes it's yellowish and sometimes it's a thin, watery discharge.

(١٥٩١) سیدہ عائشہ (رض) سے منقول ہے کہ وہ عورتوں کو منع کرتی تھی کہ وہ رات کو اپنا حیض دیکھیں اور فرماتی تھیں کہ کبھی زردی ہوتی ہے اور کبھی میٹالے رنگ کا پانی۔
Syeda Ayesha (Raz) se manqol hai keh wo auraton ko mana karti thi keh wo raat ko apna haiz dekhen aur farmai thi keh kabhi zurdi hoti hai aur kabhi meethay rang ka pani.
(1592) Fatimah bint Muhammad, who was in the care of Umrah, reports that a woman from Quraysh sent cotton to Umrah. I think she intended to ask about yellowish discharge, and she asked her if a woman sees only this yellowish discharge during her menses, would she be considered pure? She said: No, not until she sees the clear, white discharge.

(١٥٩٢) فاطمہ بنت محمد جو عمرۃ کی پرورش میں تھیں، فرماتی ہیں کہ قریش کی ایک عورت نے عمرۃ کی طرف روئی پھنبا بھیجا میرا گمان ہے اس نے زردی کا ارادہ کیا اور وہ ان سے پوچھ رہی تھی کہ جب عورت حیض میں صرف یہزردی دیکھے تو کیا وہ پاک ہوگی ؟ اس نے کہا : نہیں جب تک خالص سفیدی دیکھ لے۔
(1592) Fatima bint Muhammad jo Umra ki parwarish mein thin, farmati hain ki Quresh ki ek aurat ne Umra ki taraf rui phunba bheja mera gumaan hai us ne zurdi ka irada kiya aur wo un se puch rahi thi ki jab aurat haiz mein sirf ye zurdi dekhe to kya wo pak hogi? Us ne kaha: nahin jab tak khalis sufaidi dekh le.
Asma' reported: We used to regard it as purity from amongst us, (that is, from amongst the women) that one of us would have a discharge, then she would pray and then she would again have a yellowish discharge. They asked the Prophet (ﷺ) about it, whereupon he said: "She should abstain from prayer when she sees this (yellowish discharge) till she sees the white discharge."

(١٥٩٣) اسماء سے روایت ہے کہ ہم اس کی گود میں ان کے بھتیجوں کے ساتھ تھیں، ہم میں کوئی پاک ہوتی، پھر نماز پڑھتی، پھر دوبارہ زرد خون بہانے لگتی ، انھوں نے اس کے متعلق سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : نماز سے الگ رہو جب تم یہ (زردی) دیکھو جب تک خالص سفیدی نہ دیکھ لو۔
(1593) Asma se riwayat hai ke hum us ki god mein un ke bhateejon ke sath thin, hum mein koi pak hoti, phir namaz parhti, phir dobara zard khoon bahane lagti, unhon ne us ke mutalliq sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya: namaz se alag raho jab tum ye (zardi) dekho jab tak khalis safedi na dekh lo.
(1594) (a) It is narrated from Hasan that when a woman sees a light discharge, she should stop praying because it is menstruation.
(b) It is narrated from Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a woman sees a light discharge, she should wait for the days in which she usually menstruates and should not pray only during those days.

(١٥٩٤) (الف) حسن سے روایت ہے کہ جب عورت ہلکی سی چیز دیکھے تو وہ نماز سے رک جائے گی کیونکہ وہ حیض ہے۔
(ب) سیدنا ابوسلمہ (رض) سے روایت ہے کہ جب عورت ہلکی سی چیز دیکھے تو وہ ان دنوں کا انتظار کرے جن میں وہ حیض گذارتی تھی اور صرف ان دنوں میں نماز نہ پڑھے۔
(1594) (alif) hasan se riwayat hai ki jab aurat halki si cheez dekhe to wo namaz se ruk jaye gi kyunkay wo haiz hai
(be) sayyidna abu salma (rz) se riwayat hai ki jab aurat halki si cheez dekhe to wo in dino ka intezar kare jin mein wo haiz guzarti thi aur sirf in dino mein namaz na parhe.
