Abdullah bin Amr bin As (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The most beloved fasting to Allah is the fasting of David (peace be upon him). He used to fast on alternate days. And the most beloved prayer to Allah is the prayer of David (peace be upon him). He used to sleep for half of the night, then pray for one-third of it, then sleep for one-sixth of it."

(٤٦٥٦) عبداللہ بن عمرو بن عاص (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ مجھے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : سب سے محبوب روزے اللہ کے ہاں داؤد (علیہ السلام) کے روزے ہیں، وہ ایک دن روزہ رکھتے تھے اور ایک دن افطار کرتے اور نمازوں میں سے سب سے زیادہ محبوب نماز اللہ کے ہاں داؤد (علیہ السلام) کی ہے، کیونکہ وہ پہلے نصف رات سوتے، پھر تہائی حصہ قیام کرتے، پھر چھٹا حصہ سویا کرتے تھے۔
(4656) Abdullah bin Amro bin Aas (RA) farmate hain ke mujhe Rasool Allah (SAW) ne farmaya : sab se mehboob roze Allah ke han Dawood (AS) ke roze hain, wo ek din roza rakhte the aur ek din iftar karte aur namazon mein se sab se zyada mehboob namaz Allah ke han Dawood (AS) ki hai, kyunki wo pehle nisf raat sote, phir tehrai hissa qayam karte, phir chhata hissa soya karte the.
Abu Salama (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I found the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) sleeping during the last part of the night.

(٤٦٥٧) ابی سلمہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) فرماتی ہیں : میں نے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو رات کے آخری حصہ میں سوتے ہوئے پایا ہے۔
Abi Salma (Razi Allah Anhu) farmate hain ke Hazrat Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) farmati hain : mein ne Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko raat ke aakhri hissa mein sote huye paya hai.
Hisham ibn 'Urwah reported from his father, who reported from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Allah, the Exalted, would wake up the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) at night, and he (the Prophet) would finish his (prayer) portion before the time of the pre-dawn meal (Suhoor).

(٤٦٥٨) ہشام بن عروہ اپنے والد سے نقل فرماتے ہیں، وہ حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو رات میں بیدار کردیتا ہے، پھر سحری کا وقت آنے سے پہلے آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) اپنے حصہ سے فارغ ہوجاتے تھے۔

Masruq reported that I asked Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about the practice of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), she said: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) loved the regular deeds more. I said: When did you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) stand for prayer? She said: When you (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) heard the crowing of the rooster.

(٤٦٥٩) مسروق کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے عمل کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو فرمانے لگیں : نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کو ہمیشگی کے عمل زیادہ محبوب تھے۔ میں نے کہا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کب قیام کے لیے کھڑے ہوتے ؟ فرمایا : جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مرغ کی آواز کو سنتے۔
Masrooq kehte hain ke maine Hazrat Ayesha (RA) se Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke amal ke baare mein sawal kiya to farmane lagi: Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ko hameshagi ke amal zyada mahboob thay. Maine kaha: Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kab qayam ke liye kharay hote? Farmaya: Jab aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) murgh ki aawaz ko sunte.
Masruq reported: I asked Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, about the practice of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and she said, "He loved to do deeds consistently." I said, "When did he pray?" She said, "When he heard the rooster crow, he would stand and pray."

(٤٦٦٠) مسروق کہتے ہیں : میں نے حضرت عائشہ (رض) سے نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے عمل کے بارے میں سوال کیا تو انھوں نے فرمایا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہمیشگی والے عمل کو پسند فرماتے تھے۔ میں نے کہا : آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کس وقت نماز پڑھتے تھے ؟ فرمایا : جب آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) مرغ کی آواز سنتے تو کھڑے ہو کر نماز پڑھتے۔
Masruq kahte hain : maine Hazrat Ayesha (Razi Allah Anha) se Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ke amal ke bare mein sawal kiya to unhon ne farmaya : Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) hameshagi wale amal ko pasand farmate the. Maine kaha : Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) kis waqt namaz parhte the? Farmaya : Jab aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) murgh ki aawaz sunte to kharay ho kar namaz parhte.
Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), "Which prayer is most virtuous after the obligatory prayers?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The prayer in the middle of the night." He then asked, "Which fast is most virtuous after the fasts of Ramadan?" He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, "The fasts of Muharram."

(٤٦٦١) ابوہریرہ (رض) فرماتے ہیں کہ ایک شخص نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سوال کیا کہ فرض نماز کے بعد کون سی نماز افضل ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : وہ نماز جو آدھی رات کو پڑھی جائے۔ پھر اس نے پوچھا : رمضان کے روزوں کے بعد کون سے روزے افضل ہیں۔ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اس مہینہ کے جس کو تم محرم کہتے ہو۔
(4661) Abu Hurairah (RA) farmate hain keh ek shakhs ne Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se sawal kiya keh farz namaz ke baad kaun si namaz afzal hai? Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Woh namaz jo adhi raat ko parhi jaye. Phir usne poocha: Ramzan ke rozon ke baad kaun se roze afzal hain. Aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Uss maheene ke jis ko tum Muharram kehte ho.
Jundub bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The most virtuous prayer after the obligatory prayers is the prayer offered in the middle of the night and the most virtuous fasting after the fasting of Ramadan is the fasting of the month which you call Muharram."

(٤٦٦٢) جندب بن عبداللہ بجلی نبی (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے نقل فرماتے ہیں کہ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : فرض نماز کے بعد سب سے افضل نماز وہ ہے جو رات کے درمیانی حصہ میں پڑھی جائے اور رمضان کے روزوں کے بعد سب سے افضل روزے اس مہینہ کے ہیں جس کو تم محرم کہتے ہو۔
Jundab bin Abdullah Bajli Nabi ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se naql farmate hain ki aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya: Farz namaz ke baad sab se afzal namaz woh hai jo raat ke darmiyani hissa mein parha jaye aur Ramzan ke rozon ke baad sab se afzal roze us maheene ke hain jisko tum Muharram kehte ho.
(4663) Amr bin 'Absa narrated that he went to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) while he was in 'Ukaz. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, which supplication is most likely to be answered?" Or "At what time can we draw closer to Allah or remember Him?" He (ﷺ) said: "Allah is closest to His servant in the last part of the night. So, if you can be among those who remember Allah at that time, then do so."
(b) In another narration, Amr bin 'Absa said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, in which part of the night is supplication most likely to be answered?' He (ﷺ) said: 'In the last part of the night.'"

(٤٦٦٣) عمرو بن عبسہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) کے پاس آیا اور آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) عکاظ میں تھے۔ میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! کون سی دعا زیادہ قرب کا ذریعہ بنتی ہے ؟ یا کون سا وقت ہے جس میں ہم اللہ کا قرب حاصل کرسکیں یا اس کا ذکر کریں ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : اللہ اپنے بندے کے سب سے زیادہ قریب رات کے آخری حصہ میں ہوتے ہیں۔ اگر تو طاقت رکھے تو ان لوگوں میں سے ہوجا جو اللہ کا ذکر اس گھڑی کرتے ہیں۔
(ب) عمرو بن عبسہ ایک دوسری روایت میں فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول ! رات کے کس حصہ میں دعا زیادہ قبول ہوتی ہے ؟ آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : رات کے آخری حصہ میں۔
(4663) Amro bin Abasa farmate hain ki main Rasul Allah (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) ke paas aaya aur aap (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) Ukaz mein thay. Maine kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Kaun si dua ziada qurb ka zariya banti hai? Ya kaun sa waqt hai jis mein hum Allah ka qurb hasil karsaken ya uska zikr karen? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) ne farmaya: Allah apne bande ke sab se ziada qareeb raat ke aakhri hissa mein hote hain. Agar tu taqat rakhe to un logon mein se hoja jo Allah ka zikr is ghari karte hain.
(b) Amro bin Abasa ek dusri riwayat mein farmate hain ki maine kaha: Aye Allah ke Rasul! Raat ke kis hissa mein dua ziada qubool hoti hai? Aap (sallallahu alaihi wa aalihi wasallam) ne farmaya: Raat ke aakhri hissa mein.
Abu Muslim narrated that I asked Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him): "Which part of the night is best for prayer?" He said: "I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and he said: 'The middle of the night, but few are those who pray at that time.'"

(٤٦٦٤) ابو مسلم فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے ابوذر (رض) سے کہا : رات کی نماز کس گھڑی میں افضل ہے ؟ انھوں نے کہا : میں نے رسول اللہ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) سے سوال کیا تو آپ (صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) نے فرمایا : آدھی رات لیکن اس کے کرنے والے تھوڑے ہیں۔
(4664) Abu Muslim farmate hain keh maine Abuzar (rz) se kaha : raat ki namaz kis ghari mein afzal hai ? unhon ne kaha : maine Rasul Allah ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) se sawal kiya to aap ((صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم)) ne farmaya : aadhi raat lekin iske karne wale thore hain.
